Two weeks have passed since the birth of ferenceHero Elliot.
On that day, the seven leaders of the four continents of the world gathered in Bilderna. The two leaders of the neighboring countries had entered the castle the other day. Some countries were still fighting among themselves, but a temporary truce was agreed upon, and by the time they sat at the Round Table, the leaders were discussing in hushed tones how to deal with the Hero.
Kratos, who had sent the letter announcing the birth of the Hero, was chosen to act as the temporary chairman.
"Thank you for coming all the way here. Kingdom of Graize, King Raniester Graize. Democratic Nation of Ittsukuni, Prime Minister Tanya Fuji. Lawful Nation of Brannor, Pope Albeini. Republic of El Sant, Head of State Ronowa. Organov Empire, Emperor Claude Organov. Girard United Nation, Representative Fenbach."
Kratos said the names of each leader without a single mistake.
"To put it simply, as we have been informed, a hero has been born. Therefore, we would like to work with each of the leaders to come up with a plan to deal with the hero within the next fifteen years."
The secretary sitting in the annex began to write his brush.
"Are heroes really that dangerous?"
The youngest, Fenback, was the first to ask, raising his hand. As the allied nations were formed twenty years ago, details about the hero had not been passed down.
"You can think of it as a disaster."
The most senior, Ronoir, head of the El Santo Republic, muttered. His favorite staff was propped up on his chair.
"In that case, we, the allied nations, do not want to have anything to do with the hero. Excuse me."
Fenback's words caused several leaders to chuckle bitterly.
"The documents say that countries that have connections with heroes have a much lower chance of suffering from disasters. I hope your country does not perish first."
With a sneer, King Raniester of the neighboring country of Bilderna admonished Fenback.
Those words left Fenbach speechless.
"This is a problem for the whole world. We need to satisfy the hero's desire for recognition all over the world."
"Let's move on with this faster."
The only woman, the seductive Pope Albeini in her late thirties, urged.
Kratos spoke up, starting afresh.
"For now, let's list the necessary items. Then we'll discuss any missing parts as they come up. First of all, we need to create a story, an ending that will satisfy the hero. To do that, we'll gather famous writers from each country and write it. And the monsters. I think we should start from now on by capturing monsters in each country and cultivating and breeding them to increase their population. We'll assign them to the hero's party as appropriate."
At that moment, Tanya Fuji of the Democratic Nation of Ittsukuni raised her hand, raising her black-rimmed glasses with her index finger.
"When monsters attack the hero on the way, we have ninjas in our country who can hide their presence, so let's send them."
"Thank you. We will also have informants as members of the hero's party. I would like to leave it to Pope Albeini to find a magician to teach the hero magic. I've heard that the magician's apprentices are still alive when the hero appeared last time."
Albeini sipped the tea that was prepared and placed it on the saucer.

"I understand. We will prepare the best magician so that the hero doesn't die. I would like to assign a magician to the hero when he becomes aware of things."
Albeini nodded slightly.
"All that's left is the legendary armor," Raniester Graze of the neighboring Graze Kingdom, sitting next to Kratos, interjected. "It's highly likely that they are in the residence where the previous hero retired. They should still be in our country. I'll have them search for them."
"Thank you. All that's left is..."
"The Demon King."
Emperor Claude Organov, with his Kaiser moustache and bearing the appearance of a leading authority, finally spoke.
The leaders sitting at the round table all kept their mouths shut. The most important task remained.
Claude Oruganov continued.
"There are rumors that giants live in the mountainous region to the north of our country. We could search for and capture the giant. We could assign the hero as the Demon King, but it's just a rumor, so we don't know if it's trustworthy. Consider this a last resort."
Feeling thirsty and hungry, Kratos looked at the clock.
"Well, let's continue in the afternoon. Some of the leaders are tired from the long journey. I've prepared lunch in another room. Everyone, please follow me."
And with that, Kratos headed for the door.
When Kratos knocked, the royal guards waiting in the hallway opened the door. With the most important task still in the back of their minds, each leader stood up and left the round table room.
After the meal, there was a two-hour break, during which the leaders were busy lobbying. Perhaps because there were still fifteen years until the hero would awaken, the main topics discussed were trade, currency, and customs duties between nations. Perhaps in anticipation of this, some of the leaders had brought along their financial representatives.
Kratos continued to act as chairman in the afternoon.
"Let's leave the demon king issue as a future task. If we can capture a strong monster, we can turn it into a demon king. Then there's the hero's financial resources. Naturally, defeating monsters doesn't produce any money or items. The question is how to naturally generate the money and items the hero needs on his journey. Food, lodging, weapon maintenance, recovery items, etc.... Just doing anything costs money."
Fennback of the Girard Alliance raised his hand, trying to make up for his earlier ignorant blunder.
"Why not just place a treasure chest at the destination and put money or things that can be sold for money in it?"
"Isn't it weird to have a treasure chest that's obviously not open?"
"Normally, if I were a normal citizen, I would open the treasure chest before anyone else does."
"It's certainly weird to have a treasure chest in a cave. We've almost finished exploring the cave."
Negative opinions are flying around.
"In that case, how about setting up a worldwide extermination guild? We could offer a bounty for monster extermination. That would be great."
Ronowa, head of the financially struggling Republic of El Santo, speaks with shame.
"It would cost a lot of money to set up a guild that is shared across the world. Our country cannot afford that. And even before that, there is no need for a guild, as the number of monsters is so low. What if the leaders of each country directly requested the hero to defeat monsters and give them money in return?"
"Yes, that might be the most natural option."
Claude Organov nodded generously.
Fennbach, who had made the suggestion, retreated obediently, with a gloomy look on his face.
"What about currency?" Albeini asked.
"We can leave that to the money changers. Even the hero needs to know how much work goes into it."
"It would be strange for different countries to have a unified currency."
"Also, what would we do if the hero acts in a way that is different from what the writer wrote in his script?"
He spoke of Raniester's concerns.
The eldest elder, Lonoir, replied.
"Indeed, heroes are human too. It might be a good idea to have the writer prepare a number of different scripts to deal with unforeseen circumstances."
The meeting continued for about three hours after that, and the discussion went into even the smallest details.
When the secretary was running low on ink, most of the issues had been addressed and the leaders were ready to head home.
"That's a good time. You're all probably busy with national politics, so let's meet again in a year to discuss the progress and any new issues that have arisen. Thank you all for your hard work."
Each person left the meeting room, still drowning in conversations about heroes and their own countries' economies.
