“Are you going to puke?” The Ferryman said, the green fire orbs shrinking in concern. “If you are please direct the stream away from the boat, I am in no mood in making you clean it up.”
“I’ll-I’ll be okay.” Thabo said as he stood upright. “For 2 Aura, I play Blue Area Zone!”
“Uh?”
A blue, spherical forcefield flickered around Robo Girl before disappearing. “For the rest of the turn, my Unit cannot be destroyed by battle or effect.”
“Why would you activate that effect now? You could just have activated during my turn when I attack your Unit.”
“You’re Grim King is not going to get a chance to attack my Robo Girl,” Thabo smiled at Robo Girl who smiled at him, “she is going to take down your Grim King by the end of my turn.”
“What? She is a Value 1 Unit Creature with a Power of 3. She stands no chance.”
“We’ll see,” Thabo said. “I use 1 Aura to activate my Unit Creature’s Small Aid Puff from my hand. If I send it to the graveyard, I can target one Unit on the field and it gains 2 Power until the end of this turn.”
“You’ve brought it up to 5” The Ferryman said. “Still not strong enough to destroy my Grim King.”
“We’ll see! I move to the battle step!” he said. “I attack!”
“You’re insane! If you wanted to give up, all you had to do was…”
“For an Aura, I activate Dangerous Oncoming! It doubles her attack and now she has a power of 10 until the end of the turn! Of course, at the end of the turn my Robo Girl gets destroyed and I take 1 damage to my LP.”

Robo Girl charged the blaster attached to her hand. The air came alive with electricity and energy. A giant beam of energy blasted out of the muzzle of her pink wrist gun. It engulfed the Grim King, obliterating him.
“I destroyed your Grim King and you lose 5 LP!”
The Ferryman’s LP decreased to 8.
“And now, Dangerous Oncoming’s effect activates, it destroys my monster and I’ll take 1 damage.”
Missiles came from all over and crashed into Robo Girl, exploding on contact. A debris of cloud covered the field. The Ferryman swiped his bony hand and the grey smoke blew away, as if he wiped it away. There was still some smoke left but still standing there was Robo Girl inside a blue spherical forcefield.
“Because of Blue Area Zone, she is not destroyed.” The skeleton said.
“Yes, and I don’t lose any life points, since my Unit Creature was not destroyed by the effect.” Thabo looked at the being, expecting it to be sad but instead, what it saw made him scared.
The skeleton was smiling with glee.
“Good,” it said before it began to laugh. At first, the laugher was just to its head, then it moved to its shoulders as it shivered. Then the ferryman started laughing hysterically, throwing its head back and laughing to the sky. “Very good. That combo was exquisite! You’ve mastered this game, so now I can stop holding back.”
“Wh-What? You were holding back?” Thabo said in surprise.
“Yes, but no more of that. Now you’ll experience my full power!” The skeleton said, its white hand reaching for the deck, “Now, it is my turn. I draw!”
