“Are you ready?” The Ferryman said.
The man looked back. The light was much smaller now. The waves were getting a little rougher. He wondered if he would survive this. He turned back to the other being on boat and nodded.
“I draw for my Draw Step.” The being said, while drawing a card from its deck. “On my Reset the Treasure Tokens I had used for Aura becomes active again.”
The two treasure tokens colour grew back into the brilliant gold they were before.
Now, I summon Grim Kid.”
Two Treasure tokens went to the Ferryman. The water beside the man bubbled and out burst another Grim Kid. It left the boat shuddering to and fro. He noticed the boat did not stop shaking much due to the rougher seas.
His eyes widened, “You have 2?”
“Of course. We can have as much as 3 copies of any card in our deck.” It said. “Now, I use my Grim Kid’s effect, which for 2 Treasures, I get to SEARCH a Grim Unit of Value 2 or less. I choose Grim Wisp.”
The man was shown a card with a purple flame and a white light, that looked like a cat’s eye at the centre.
“Now, for 2 Aura, I cast the card, ‘On Grim’s Doorstep!’”
The boat stops. The man looks behind the boatman’s grinning face at the large double door, blocking the boat from sailing any further. In the middle of the large door, there were three dog skulls which seemed to be grinning, each dog skull having a tiny red light in the socket and the centre skull had a gold knocker in its mouth. The frame was of dull bronze and the oak was a deep black colour. He could even see a spider at the corner of the door and it seemed the spider was wearing… a mask?
“W-W-What does it do?”
The boat man stood up. The passenger grew scared as his opponent stood to his fool height. The boatman was the tallest being he had ever seen, a full head and shoulders bigger than him if he had decided to stand.

“This Casting allows me to discard one Unit Creature from my hand.” The Ferryman said, discarding Grim Wisp.
Grim Wisp’s image appeared on one side of the double door.
“And also destroy one Unit Creature on the field.” One of the Grim Kids fell back, being absorbed by the door and their image appeared on the other side of the door. “And if their combined Value is equal to 3, then… well, I get to do this!”
The being stretched its hand up to the knocker int the middle dog skull’s grinning mouth. More of its bony arms were revealed as it stretched further and further above itself. The tips of its white fingers slid under slid beneath the circular knocker. With one powerful swipe, he sent the knocker swinging outward. The knocker’s outward swing stopped in mid air before falling back down and hitting the door.
GONG! The sound flowed outward, causing the black inky water to shudder and flow outward with the sound. The boat vibrated, so did every bone and cell of the passenger’s body. Then the sound stopped.
Everything became calm, even the black waters surfaces stopped, becoming so still and quiet, that one could mistake it for glassy ground instead of the liquid it actually was. The figure the man shared the boat with began to laugh. At first it was soft, then grew in volume as large the large double doors began to creak open. The calm water began to flow through the widening gap. The man grabbed the sides to the boat, holding on for dear life as the boat was swept in with the water! Beyond the door, the water flowed downward into a waterfall. His screams of terror blended in with the sound of whooshing water and the maniacal laughter of the ferryman as the boat was plunged down along the waterfall…
