As Akilah stepped forward, getting closer to the crowd, one of the men noticed her.
“Hey! Kid watcha doing here?”
The man shouted. The rest of the men had also noticed her by now.
“Hey, kid are you deaf?”
The men were now facing her, the first one to notice her was now visibly annoyed and inching towards her. Behind him she saw two young girls in the middle of the group, looking very scared and cornered ‘I guess it’s not a trap then’. Akilah brought her attention back to the man that had now closer to her, looking at his clothes she saw that he was wearing a uniform ‘Is that...It can’t be…Is that the new kings crest on their clothing’
“The king’s soldiers huh?” Akilah scoffed “So tell me, what are the kings’ solders doing in a place like this harassing little girls?”
“Hey kid…Are you dumb” Another solder pipped up “Why the hell are you still here?”

“Who me? I’m just here wondering what the king’s solders are doing here.” Akilah said nonchalantly.
“Is he dumb or something?” Another soldier said annoyed.
“Listen brat, screw of, we’re busy working. Unless you’re asking for a beating, fuck off! The soldier approaching Akilah said.
“Working?” Akilah scuffed again, tilting her head sideways “Does your work include harassing young girls?”
“This bastard is really asking for a beating?” another soldier sneered “We can do that, can’t we boys”
The first soldier that approached her gritted his teeth “I’ll teach him a lesson about not respecting his superiors”
Akilah started laughing loudly “My superiors? You guys? I don’t ever remember making the kings dogs my superiors, especially not the scummy ones that go around and harass girls that are young enough to be their daughters!!”
Anger filled all the soldiers faces. Something changed within two young girls that had been quietly standing and clasping each other’s hands looked up at her. Their eyes that were screaming with fear now had a small glimmer of hope in them. A small light of hope wondering if the person before them could by miraculously save them. That was all the reassurance Akilah needed to know that it was time to get serious.
“YOU’RE FUCKING DEAD BASTARD!!”
Akilah chuckled “I would like to see you try”
