Sound Sleep & Blacksmiths Honor

Sound Sleep & Blacksmiths Honor

Sound Sleep

You wouldn't know the danger I face if you looked at me

Cool as a cucumber, which is such an odd turn of phrase

Tonight I do sleep like a baby, I'm fine

No I didn't have anything to drink not even wine

Even so for some reason I do dream of warm amber fields

But not Elysium no, some other place yet revealed

These sweet and cozy dreams made real by the one next to me

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

Though tomorrow grave peril we will face,

My mind is elsewhere in some wonderful veil

I worry not about tomorrow,

For today is here and tomorrows never come

Blacksmith's Honor

Kang Kang, the hammer doth blow

Kang Kang, the work he doth show

Tink Tink, dust off the shaved

Tink Tink, off the anvil, the glow fade

Ping Ping, a master of his forge

Ping Ping, his mettle and metal merge

Hiss Hiss, the blade doth cool

Hiss Hiss, quenched in this pool

Grind Grind, now shaping the steel

Grind Grind, a great master's approval seal

A finished product now ready to sell

A finished product, fit for Hephaestus himself
