Collection 4

One Drop Unwatched.

What is one little drop

An unnoticed inconvenience

Even if there were two

Three and four are not so different

To five and six

It's not until these drops come together

You take any risk

For as each drop condenses

They can hardly be thought of

As a simple drop

So now more than one

But less than a lot

They start to roll down

But of course this is still so simple

You would be forgiven for your ignorance

As it's not enough to be a problem

So you look away

And more drops fall

You don't notice until you look down

And see a puddle

Now that's a lot of drops

Where did they all come from?

Your mind may ponder

But while lost in this inquiry

There is a new threat

You didn't consider admiring

Now by the time you notice this odd water

It's no more a puddle

But more a pool

Quite a bit larger

And in such a short window

No time to wonder

You have to fix this soon

So you look for the solution

But by the time it arrives

That simple grouping of drops

Became more of a pond

You can't do this on your own

So you start asking around

But when you and some friend returned

It was more of a lake that you found

The water keeps rising

One drop at a time

Faster they come here and now

What do you do as the lake does rise?

Swallowing all you once called land

It's far too late now

To do something about this watery sound

For by the time you knew

What to do about the puddle

The ocean is what started to settle

No more can you keep running

It's the water now that gives you trouble

You can't say afloat

But don't want to quit

So you think as hard as you can

With all your wits

The solution was simple once

And now the waves move you first

Oh if only you had done right the first time

And stopped those simple little drops

Song Of Love

Do you hear it?

There is a soft something emanating

It's a gentle soliloquy

What is it saying?

We cant quite hear

It's a melody that draws us near

Closer we come to that sacred hymn

Entangled and entwined

Our souls dance to the rhythmic beating of our hearts

We flow in free fall ever listening

Until we touch for the first time

And a symphony performs on the stage of life

Our minds bind as our hands connect

We press close together as the music does increase

Our eyes meet and the fire of our passion echoes

The angels cry in envy

And the demons wail in jealousy

But we are lost in our eternal concert

No other sounds fall on our ears

For all we hear is the lullaby of our whispering spirits

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Ah, I know it now

That's the Song of Love

§

Love Like A Garden.

Give me a good toss as you sow

A little time, light, and rain

Just watch me grow

Days, weeks, or months, and sometimes overnight

Just watch me grow

Be sure to care and water

Watch out for that crow!

Weed and mulch me

But be careful with that hoe

Don't worry

When I am ready I will let you know

If you don't pay attention or get too rough

I will stay pretty low

So put in the effort

Be cautious and careful

And I just won't go

With just a pinch of luck

And everything else too

You may just harvest more than you'd sow

§

You Are.

Alone.

All Alone.

Like a lonely rock in the middle of a quarry.

Alone.

A tree grown in a forest far away.

Alone.

One drop of water in the middle of the empty sea.

Alone.

One star in the night void.

Alone.

One cloud in the edgeless sky.

Alone.

Among so many, and yet.

Alone.

You were in a party all your own,

You could see so many yet still felt so.

Alone.

No number of moving bodies,

Smiling faces or laughing voices

Could make you any less.

Alone.

In a crowd full of people,

You were the only one there.

Alone.

All the deeds you do

Never viewed by anyone.

Alone.

Your thoughts go wild

And you voice grows hoarse

But you are still.

Alone.

Plead and shout,

Throw hands all about

No one is there you are.

Alone.

Cry and beg,

You pray to one

Who isn't there.

You are.

Alone.

The sun still rises

The tide still dances

And the wind still sings.

Trees grow,

There is rain and snow,

The world keeps on turning

And you are still.

Alone

People go on living.

Laughing and loving without you.

Babies born,

Children grow,

Adults live

And the elderly die

And none of them notice,

You are.

Alone

This prison you made

And you can try to blame,

But that just won't change the fact

That you are.

Alone.

It's the choice you made,

Refuse to trade the lie you laid

You find yourself.

Alone.

You push and break

And outright take

What isn't yours,

Yet question why .

You are.

Alone.

The struggle you face

The price you hate,

It's the direction you take

Which has now

Determined your fate.

You find yourself.

Alone.

You want to change

To be remade

But can't help yourself, but bade

And its not me

You always said.

Who are you trying to convince?

There was still hope before,

Away to cope,

But you wouldn't listen

And now your trapped.

It's an endless cycle

That you run in miles

Always trying to force everyone to smile

While they grit their teeth

And push down the bile the feel for you,

One so vile

And so you are.

Alone

Alone.

Alone.

Alone.

You are.

Alone.

You will forever remain.

Alone.

Alone.

Alone.

Unless you change your ways

You will always be.

Alone.

Tick Tock, the clock won't stop.

Tick Tock, there will come a knock.

Tick Tock, don't answer the call.

Tick Tock, another moment lost.

Tick Tock, watch another gone.

Tick Tock, the clock won't stop.

Tick Tock. Door's not locked.

Tick Tock. It swings wide.

Tick Tock. Feel someone inside.

Tick tock. Gotta run quick.

Tick Tock. No one's there.

Tick Tock. Door's not locked.

Tick Tock! Your time's near.

Tick Tock! It's getting dark.

Tick Tock! You're alone now.

Tick Tock! The echo coming

Tick Tock! No more running

Tick Tock! You're time's here.
