Darkness swallowed the morning star and embraced the vibrant metropolis of his somber veil. As street lights and city beams slowly came to life, the active environment welcomed its second day.
Walking down the road, a blond teenager was occasionally observing the few observable stars above the illuminated city. His thoughts unknown as his steps never wandered off the crowded and bright streets. Unbeknownst to him, he was being tailed by an undetectable figure casually leaping from one building to another.
"I feel like a girl stalking her crush in the middle of the night... a super powered girl with a 10,000 kill count."
Stable breathing followed his inhuman movements as the man lampooned to himself. Easily following his target, the man soon stopped before a three story apartment. The blond haired teenager entered the building and another black haired individual leaped off and silently landed a few miles from the entrance.
Light appeared in consecutive motions as footsteps resounded in the building. Minutes later, the teenager arrived before his destination and opened the door.
"Eva, I'm home." Noah said and closed the door. A neatly arranged apartment welcomed its sight; while wooden floors and painted concrete filled the room, a few pictures were hanging from the pristine walls. Simple piece of furniture were spread around the house as light noise resounded.
"Hey Noah." Lazily seating on a couch, a red haired girl answered Noah's greeting. With a lengthy hairstyle and casual clothes, her emerald eyes indifferently stared at the tv.
"So, did you make any friends?"
Noah asked nonchalantly as he went to the kitchen. As he entered, he set his eyes on a carefully wrapped plate.
Gently removing the plastic foil, his nose allowed the flagrance to envelop his sense of smell. Unable to contain his awakened appetite, the ravenous Noah quickly snatched the plate and a bottle of water, and went to sit on the same sofa the red head was lying.
"Find better topics, Noah. You've been asking me the same thing for the whole week." Exasperated by Noah's monotonous questions, she blankly looked at him.
"What about you, any new friends apart from the young master?"
"He's not a young master, Eva. He doesn't act like one." Noah absently looked at the girl, his focus split between her and the scrumptious meal on the table.

"He is a good friend." A short answer and Noah took another bite of the food. He looked at Eva, his expression satisfied.
"I made a friend today, he's not as popular as your young master but he's a friendly guy." Looking at the tv, she suddenly proclaimed. Hearing this, Noah froze.
"What's his name?" Noah gazed at Eva, his intense gaze fixed on the red head. Worry and faint coldness was exuding from his azure eyes. Lightly smiling, she looked at the man.
"Noah, I'm a grown up, remember? I can judge someone's personality."
The woman said, while stroking the man's golden hair.
"I trust your judgement." Noah exclaimed, his expression returning to normal. Smirking at Noah's 'normal' face, the woman said.
"His name is Matthew but people call him Math. Mostly because he sucks at anything related to arithmetics." Eva chuckled as Noah lightly smiled.
As the duo continued their conversation, a ringing was heard. Both looked at each other's eyes, determined. Suddenly, their hands moved, molding shapes such as rock, papers and scissors. Vicious attacks were launched, cheap tricks unraveled and indignant faces were made. Ultimately, the red head came out victorious, and like a king looking at a peasant, he pointed towards the door, an irritating smirk on her face.
Noah reluctantly got up and headed towards the entrance. Opening the door, he saw golden hair and emerald eyes. A woman in her 30s welcomed the teenager. A beaming smile on her face, she then embraced Noah.
"How was your day, son. Did you eat well. How was school, you didn't get in trouble did you?" Bombarded and constricted by motherly love, Noah could barely utter a word.
"Yes..."
"Sorry, I was too excited again." A beaming smile ever present, she launched her purse towards a table and looked in the direction of the couch.
"Now where is my little daughter."
Sensing her intense gaze, Eva prepared herself. High heel sounds resounded and a blond haired woman swiftly approached the living room. Standing before the lazily seated Eva, she smiled. Mother and daughter looked at each other and in an instant, a bear hug abducted Eva from the couch.
"Did you also eat well, Eva? What about school? " The blond woman asked, squeezing the red head as if today was their last.
"Yeah, school was great."
She answered her mother's words, her expression smug as he looked at Noah. The latter silently looked at her, unknown thoughts running.
"How was your trip, mom?" Noah gently asked as he approached the woman, a light smile blossoming.
"It was great, the company managed to seal a contract overseas and as a reward, we were given a full month of paid leaves." Embracing both son and daughter, she smiled. Wrinkled lines were unable to hide her mature charm as her jade like eyes softened further at her reunification with his children.
As parent and children enjoyed their moments, a figure was observing them in a corner of the house.
'So far, nothing changed. And no butterfly effect has appeared either."
'Gazing' at the trio, a man pondered.

'Do you remember one of the main reasons I chose this world', Blake asked, melancholy displayed as he watched the familly.
[Affirmative]
[The author introduced items, skills and monsters that will never be met by the protagonist so as to add more realism in his story]
[Therefore, Host can take said items without interfering with the main plot], dutifully, the voice answered.
"Exactly, I would have really loved to snatch his stuff, but then I won't be able to peacefully farm in this world."
As man and system discussed, they discreetely left the apartment.
