Chapter 6 - Hardest Challenge

Jack complimented me for trying to get distance but told me it would have worked better if we were in a open field and with that he instantly dashed and came close to me with his sword, I tried to block but was thrown back by the strength, he again closed the distance and this time I avoided the swing by moving to the side and took that chance to make an attack but he put up a shield to protect himself and used it to push me back, he again offered a free attack this time I know what he can do but I really don't think I can win against him but I am not gonna waste the chance he gave me i made a multiple fireball and fired it all towards the ground near him it hit the ground and exploded, this is a risky move but the only thing I have over him is mobility I have to use that however possible, I used the cover of vision and speed to get behind him and I covered my sword with flames and dashed towards him the moment I got close to him he noticed and turned around with his sword also in flames and both the swords made contact and the force threw me back and it pushed jack a bit, he noticed me way faster than I thought I really have no way of winning against him, I'm contemplating just giving up and trying again and applying to try again in a week, jack was elated he said "it has been a while since he had a fight like this I'm doing everything right and that if I wasn't weak he would have had a harder time", he really had to point that out and he again dashed towards me now more fired up and swinging multiple times, I tried my best to dodge all the swings but I did get slashed a few times, I need to do something and fast, I can hit his leg if the timing is right maybe it would get him off balance,managed to avoid all the fatal strikes and somehow did hit his leg,it just slowed him down a little but he recovered quickly and annoyingly was doing the same thing again, this time though managed to dodge all the swings without getting hurt,I again tried to use my speed to get behind him but again he turned around to meet my attack so I tried to swing faster which to my shock actually hit and caused him to move back but it didn't do much to him.

How the heck am I supposed to win this?, if a direct hit didn't hurt him much while im in a lot of pain from his light slashes, jack was really enjoying this and was praising me for catching him off guard and that I'm doing way better than he expected, and with that he again dashed towards me this time I also dashed towards him which suprised jack but it quickly turned into a grin and he shouted "let's see what you are made of", I thought of giving up but this was a good chance to find out how far I can get with my abilities, as we closed our distance I jumped up and spun in the air swinging my flaming sword towards jack who realised what I was doing and braced to take on the attack both of our swords made contact and the force threw both of us back, we recovered and instantly dashed towards the other again this time Jack copied me so I increased my speed to try to counter him which worked and we were thrown back again this Jack didn't rush towards me instead shouted "Max you have done a splendid job till now but you won't be able to escape my next attack" with that he charged for an attack, I realised I need to act fast and dashed towards him as fast as possible, he shouted "that's the right idea but you won't reach me in time" I covered more than half the distance to jack but as he said I wasn't fast enough and he released the attack which was a wave of fire, It was really high,wide and it was heading towards me at a fast pace, a dumb idea flashed across my mind and I decided to try it anyway so I increased my speed towards the fire and I covered wrapped myself with my fire and jumped through the wave of fire, it was hurting like crazy but it was working I got through the wave and I swing towards jack who was shocked but was ready and put up his shield and my sword couldn't cut his shield and he swung his sword I saw it but couldn't react in time and was hit which made my bracelet flash red and beep which means it's over, I lost.
