Chapter 5 - Finding A Solution

I woke up the next day was a bit worried about that family doing something in the night so had tighten the security of the house guess they haven't started acting yet or are waiting to make their move, whatever the case I still have some issues to deal with apparently the fight in the academy has now turned into a bigger problem the Sola family have filed a case stating that Jeff was a victim of power abuse and was beaten mercilessly and that these things shouldn't be allowed to happen in a educational institution and they deserve to be compensated for it, honestly it's impressive how they managed to turn it around like this when there was so many who witnessed everything.

My parents called me to discuss this problem, they are worried what the sola family is planning with this since they filed a case it's out of the hands of the academy and a magic official would now be dealing with this issue luckily the authorities were able to realise that the bigger issue is between the families so they have called them to talk this problem out so the people who started the issues don't need to be there atleast for now anyway, I told my parents how this issue all happened and what my stance on it is, they seems to agree that what I did was right and they will try their best to solve this problem, I can't believe they are so supportive even though I made such a problem for them on the first day, I left the room after everything was cleared up and what we should do.

As I'm heading back to my room I started thinking about how to solve this without getting the Deor family into more problems as they have been very supportive to me I don't want to be the reason for their troubles, I need to come up with a plan to not involve them in my problems,I got into my room and started to search for ways I could solve the problems coming my way without involving anyone else, After exploring all available options I decided to join a division it's the easiest way to dissolve a lot of the problem as it's harder create issues with a public service personnel and to join I only need to be attending an academy which is so convenient like it was meant to be, I can go and apply today itself since I don't have to go to the academy till that issue is resolved, I told a servant to inform my parents about this and to get the things needed as I stared preparing myself to take the test to join the division it's not going to be easy thing since I don't have much magic strength or capacity if I get into a head on fight I will definitely lose, I can only win if I do everything correctly and catch them by suprise, The test is a simple one I either have to defeat the test officer in a duel or survive till they have assessed my abilities and are satisfied with my skills to join, i have a feeling it's not going to be that easy for me.

The servant came back with all the required documents and told me my parents praised me for taking the initiative and that its a good idea and that they will help me wherever I need it, hearing that reassurance made me more determined to try my best to get in, I quickly arrived at the testing grounds it's rather empty than I would have thought only a few people are there and I stated my intention and quickly completed all the required processes and was told to wait till my name was called and after a bit of waiting I was called in and I saw a person standing infront of the field they introduced themselves as Jack Aldin and that he is the test officer for today and that he started when he was 10 and has 10 Years of experience in service, after all the introduction and pleasantries were out of the way we went into the field with a practice sword and a safety bracelet to start the test.

Jack offered me the first move and since I don't know what he's capable of I choose to do range attacks and shot fireballs and Jack handled that effortlessly and started to taunt me by saying if that's all I got, I kept my calm and shot fired arrows and again he dealt with it easily and said it was now his turn and raised his leg and stomped on the ground and the ground beneath me started shaking and threw me up into the air and by that time Jack also jumped up into the air towards me with this sword burning in flames, he was very fastly approaching me and I didn't have time to do anything but to try and dodge and I barely managed to narrowly avoid getting hit and I instantly tried to gain distance as there's nothing I can do in a close range combat against him unless I catch him off guard which is going to be difficult to pull off since he's better than me in every way,I just somehow have to hold on and not lose.
