Chapter 75 Lucas Vs Kendrick Part 2

Chapter 75 Lucas Vs Kendrick Part 2

Lucas slashed Kendrick across the chest with his hidden blade. After his attack landed, the young man’s lips curled into a small smile that he was trying his hardest not to show, but he simply couldn’t help himself.

“I hit him,” he thought. His smile grew more; he nearly broke out into a chuckle.

But he wouldn’t have the opportunity to do so as he saw Kendrick lifting his right arm up high. As his right arm went up, so did Kendrick’s massive broadsword. In Lucas’s current position, the large blade seemed to block all light. Then it came down with righteous fury.

Seeing a devastating attack coming at him, the young man jumped backward as the large blade crashed into the ring. As Lucas got some distance, he wouldn’t have a moment to breathe as his eyes caught something heading toward him fast. He was quick enough to move his head out of the way before it hit him.

When he had dodged it, he turned, looking at the projectile. What he saw was very familiar to him; it was the other half of his pole-arm that he detached from earlier. Kendrick still held the other half, and now he had thrown it at Lucas. This sent a chill down the young man’s spine as he turned around, facing his opponent once again.

And what he saw was Kendrick, who had closed the distance between the two in such a short amount of time. Already in mid-swing, as his massive sword sliced through the air, Kendrick thought to himself, “Go ahead, show me.”

As his sword was about to cut Lucas in half, the timid young man had a familiar look in his eyes return, a sinister glimmer. When that glimmer shined in his eyes, Kendrick thought, “There it is.”

In a fraction of a second, Lucas jumped, dodging the incoming attack. Then he thrusted his hidden blade forward. Kendrick angled his head to the side, dodging the piercing strike as the attack missed. Kendrick proceeded to pick up his right leg and kicked Lucas in his side. The young man’s face scrunched up in pain as he was violently struck.

But Kendrick wasn’t finished yet. Even though his last sword strike missed Lucas completely, he used the momentum of that attack to spin his body around, then swing his sword at Lucas again.

T.K., the referee, was shocked watching this impressive display. Having such a large weapon can deal devastating attacks, he thought. But being able to maneuver with such a weapon is far from easy. Its size and weight are all factors this applicant has to take into account. One missed step, and that massive weapon can become a huge hindrance. But this applicant’s use of his sword isn’t a problem for him; it seems even though he missed his original attack, he turned that missed opportunity into a brand new one.

T.K. was in awe as he watched Kendrick swing his sword down at Lucas. The timid-looking young man watched as his opponent’s blade was about to cut him down. He wasn’t expecting Kendrick to make such a move on the spot. It made his mind race. “Should I dodge or block?” he thought.

As Kendrick’s sword was less than a second away from tasting his blood, he wasn’t in the right headspace. He was caught off guard; he needed time to think, but he didn’t have the luxury of doing so. The way his mind raced rapidly, Lucas tried to do both, blocking and dodging. As he lifted his arms up to block, he was also taking a step backward. But it was too late. Before Lucas could lift his arm up completely to block the blow, Kendrick had already cut through Lucas’s left arm. Outside the ring, all were captivated by the battle except for two, that being Jake and Heracles. The former being bound by the fear of his match coming up next, and the latter already getting himself ready to win his match. But the others, besides those two, were captivated by what they saw. They watched as Kendrick brutally handicapped Lucas; his hand being flung in the air as it still clutched onto the weapon. For a moment during and after that attack, Lucas felt nothing. It happened so fast that his body didn’t register what had just happened. Then blood gushed out from the wound as if it was a geyser. Then, along with that, came the pain. Lucas’s teeth clenched, his eyes bulged, his veins popped as he felt the indescribable pain coming from his bloody, bleeding stump. He wanted to scream, to curse, but he couldn’t because his opponent, Kendrick, wasn’t done yet.

As Lucas was feeling unimaginable pain, he didn’t even have a moment to deal with said pain as he watched Kendrick pull back his arm as he held his massive blade in his hands. Then he thrusted his weapon forward at Lucas. “Is he insane?” Lucas thought as he stared wide-eyed at Kendrick’s next incoming attack.

He wasn’t taking time to rest, or taking time to start gloating, he didn’t even speak, No Kendrick kept attacking, and this frustrated Lucas. Before the massive blade could pierce his skin, Lucas spun, dodging the attack. Then he sent a kick towards Kendrick’s head. At this moment, his face had a prominent scowl on it. That façade of a weak and timid applicant was gone. Now all that was left was the true Lucas. In the true Lucas’s eyes, all there was, was a burning hate and a desire to kill. It was what Kendrick truly wanted to see. The blonde-haired man became even more focused as he gazed into the eyes of his opponent. “Good,” he thought, “no more tricks, no more lies.”

Kendrick took Lucas’s kick without even attempting to dodge. The attack didn’t even make his head budge. It didn’t even make him flinch. He stood firm and never took his eyes off his opponent. Then Kendrick pushed his head forward, as if he was trying to land a headbutt. But in truth, he was forcing Lucas’s foot off him. Then forced Lucas back, and this made him stumble. Being thrown off, Kendrick was able to prepare his sword for another swing. He slashed at his opponent with pure ferocity, but Lucas managed to jump into the air, dodging Kendrick’s strike without hesitating.

Kendrick limped after his opponent, not trying to give him a moment’s rest. He swung his blade at Lucas, and the young man managed to lean back, dodging the attack. But Kendrick kept coming at him. “What the hell,” Lucas thought, “what is this guy, who is he?” Kendrick slashed at Lucas again, and the young man managed to dodge. Then the two landed back on the ground as Kendrick charged at him, swinging his blade. Lucas jumped, dodging the strike once again. But this time, he counterattacked. He put one foot on Kendrick’s swung blade, then propelled himself forward as he landed a knee right in the middle of Kendrick’s face, breaking his nose.

Lucas smirked after landing his attack, but the smile left his face as he saw that Kendrick’s eyes were still on him, even after being kneed in the face. His eyes never closed; he never took his eyes off his opponent. “What the hell are you,” Lucas screamed in his own head. Lucas reached out his right arm and placed his hand on Kendrick’s shoulder. Then he pushed off it, doing a flip behind Kendrick. Then he sent another kick his way, but the blonde-haired young man blocked the attack with his massive blade. Lucas’s kick collided with the huge weapon as it did. Lucas felt a twinge of pain run up his leg. The sensation and Lucas’s own frustration made him smile a wide tooth grin.

As Kendrick pulled back, getting ready to swing his blade forward once more, watching this, Lucas gritted his teeth as he said, “Oh no, you don’t.” He did a forward flip, then stomped Kendrick hard in the shoulder. The attack didn’t hurt, but it prevented him from swinging his blade. As he did, Lucas smirked as a certain something caught his eye. He then flipped over Kendrick again. Kendrick simultaneously was spinning, swinging his weapon as he did. “If you’re going to keep running,” he thought, “then I’ll just cut you down here and now.” As he turned, swinging his blade with every ounce of his strength, Kendrick’s eyes finally landed on his opponent. And when they did, what he saw was Lucas smiling from ear to ear, charging at Kendrick with something in his hands.

When Lucas had stomped his foot into Kendrick’s shoulder, something had caught his eyes. And that something was the cleaved-off left hand. But the hand wasn’t what he was concerned about. No, it was what was still in his hand, that being his weapon, his hidden weapon. And this is what he was holding now as he charged forward at his opponent. Kendrick was surprised as his sword continued its motion while running full speed. Lucas only ducked down to evade the attack. And when he was in range, Lucas simply thrust his weapon forward. Kendrick had no time to block or dodge, so he couldn’t prevent what was about to occur. Lucas’s hidden blade ended up piercing Kendrick’s left shoulder, as specks of blood dripped from the shoulder wound. Lucas giggled as he thought, “That makes two strikes, you son of a bitch.”
