Biscuit’s beastmen claw cut through the air as he aimed at Lex, but the buzzcut young man easily flipped over the attack, dodging it. Biscuit tried to land another hit, but Lex ducked underneath the attack, sliding behind the young beastmen.
Lex slashed at Biscuit’s open, unguarded back. This now being the second time, but this time was different. Biscuit didn’t have his claymore anymore, so he couldn’t do that over-the-back blocking move he did before.
Lex’s eyes glimmered the way a predators would when they see prey right before their very eyes. But Lex yet again couldn’t land an attack on Biscuit’s back because his weapon was smacked out of his hand hard by Biscuit’s tail.
Lex was shocked and impressed. ‘So, he can use that tail in many different ways,’ the young man thought. As he did, Biscuit was turning around, slashing at Lex with his claws.
But Lex jumped back, evading the attack before it could even graze him. Biscuit rushed forward, slashing and kicking at Lex, the young man was still able to dodge each strike.
While he was dodging, Lex thought to himself, ‘I can’t keep this up for long, especially if I’m weaponless.’
Biscuit furiously slashed down, and Lex side-stepped. The young beastman’s claws cut into the ground as if it was paper. He kept coming at Lex, never stopping, even though his body was screaming at him to stop.
This was something Lex was thinking about. If he was fighting at his best, he would have already cut him by now. But because of his injuries, Biscuit wasn’t moving nearly as quickly as he would be, but still, he kept attacking.
He kept moving forward, and Lex knew this couldn’t go on much longer between the two of them. Lex knew one of them would give out first, and the young man feared it would be him. He had to come up with something and fast.
Biscuit slashed at Lex again; he, of course, dodged again. Then with his hands on the ground, Lex kicked upwards towards Biscuit with both his feet, kicking the beastman hard in the face. ‘Haha, got him,’ he said.
Then he froze as he felt something familiar touching one of his arms. When he looked at it, he saw Biscuit’s tail wrapped around his arm. He audibly said, ‘Uh-oh,’ as Biscuit flung the young man away, then took off after him.
As Lex was flying through the air against his will, he caught sight of something. It was his weapon that Biscuit had knocked out of his hand just a while ago. The beastmen unknowingly threw him straight at it. ‘This is perfect,’ Lex thought.
As he ended up crashing into the ground, the young man made sure to roll himself while protecting his head. And when he neared his weapon, he reached out, grabbed it, then took off towards his opponent, his weapon back in his hand.
Lex was ready to win this thing. When he was in range, Lex swung his sword at Biscuit, and at the same time, Biscuit slashed at him. Both Lex’s blade and Biscuit’s bladed claws were about to collide.
And when they did, Biscuit’s claws sliced clean through Lex’s sword, splitting it in half. Lex couldn’t help it. He simply couldn’t help but be flabbergasted. ‘How in the world?’ he was thinking, watching the other half of his sword hit the ground.
‘How in the world are his claws sharper than his claymore?’ Lex wasn’t the only one stunned. So were all those watching. Jake’s mouth nearly fell so far that it nearly hit the floor, and Zack refused to blink. His eyes were wide open, those cool blue eyes were shining brighter than gemstones.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
He didn’t want to blink because he didn’t want to miss anything that was going down in the viewing room. The announcer, Moon D, was freaking out. ‘Holy cow!’ he screamed. Then he stopped, placing a hand over his mouth, almost not believing what he just said.
He then turned and offered the beastmen standing next to him, Angus, an apology. ‘I’m so sorry for using such hurtful language,’ he said, giving Angus a small bow. Then he turned back to watching the fight before him and screamed again, ‘Holy shit!’
Angus just had to roll his eyes, dealing with Moon D’s idiotic personality. But even so, he too was captivated by this match and the young beastmen fighting down there. Back to the fight, as half of Lex’s blade fell to the ground, the young man knew he had to come up with something fast because Biscuit just put him at a huge disadvantage.
Then his eyes sparked with an idea. Before Biscuit could perform another attack, Lex decided to land a roundhouse kick to his face. But the kick was like child’s play to the beastmen; with zero effort, he simply shrugged the attack off, then angled his arm back, ready to strike again.
But as he was doing so, he saw Lex throwing a clenched fist towards his face. ‘Huh,’ he thought, ‘Is he seriously trying to punch me now? What good is that gonna do?’ But Biscuit would soon learn that he was incorrect.
As Lex’s fist came closer to him, it loosened, then it opened, and before he knew it, Biscuit had a handful of dirt thrown in his eyes. Because of their match and some of the previous matches, the ring that they were fighting on was cracked and broken up, exposing parts of the ground.
While trying to figure out what to do next after having his weapon spit in half, Lex got a spark of an idea. He decided he would take a play out of Biscuit’s book and used the broken ring to his own advantage.
So, he faked the beastmen out with the kick as he grabbed a handful of gravel. Then he threw it all in his eyes, and the moment it hit his golden yellow eyes, Biscuit’s eyes slammed shut like a bear trap as the beastmen was thrown off balance.
Lex smiled, then kicked Biscuit again in the head; this time, the attack made him stumble. Then Lex rushed at him quickly and kicked him square in the chest, making Biscuit stumble backwards blindly. ‘I did it,’ Lex thought as he ran full speed at Biscuit.
He was about to end this now. As he did, he got his split blade ready. As he approached, Lex pulled his arm back, then pushed it forward, thrusting his split blade at the unaware Biscuit. ‘That’s it,’ Lex thought, ‘It’s over, it’s done, I win this.’”
As the cut-in-half sword was about to pierce his opponent, Lex smirked, assured that victory was his… until the unexpected happened. As the sword nearly hit Biscuit, the young beast sidestepped the attack, dodging it completely. Lex was surprised, to say the least. He was puzzled. “What the…” he thought as he looked at his blade touching nothing. “How the hell did he…” Lex was confused. Then his face scrunched up into a frown. “Oh, I see,” he realized. “He tricked me, made me believe I had him, but in reality, I didn’t. I bet that gravel didn’t even touch his eyes.” Lex used this thought process to convince himself that biscuit was trying to pull a fast one on him, but soon Lex wouldn’t be so sure if he was correct. Because when he looked at biscuit, when he stared at his opponent, his eyes were still closed.
This confused the young man even more. Seeing what was before him frustrated him. Lex rushed forward, thrusting his broken blade again, this time aiming for Biscuit’s head. As the sword was closing in on its target, Lex saw Biscuit’s nose twitched a little. Then, before the sword could harm him, Biscuit moved his head out of the way, avoiding the attack, his eyes remaining closed the entire time. ‘He did it again,’ Lex thought, even more puzzled than before. But he could get ready to prepare another attack. The temporary blind Biscuit kicked Lex, knocking him away. After the kick, Biscuit’s nose twitched again. Then the beastmen took off towards the direction of where he kicked Lex.
As this was happening, Jake was confused. ‘He’s still fighting even with his eyes closed. How’s that possible?’ As Jake questioned that, Zack was leaning forward, smiling. ‘It can’t be,’ he said, speaking to no one but himself. ‘Is that how he did it back then? Is that what he’s doing right now?’ ‘Doing what back then?’ asked Jake. But Zack was in a trance, watching Biscuit. As he watched, his mind went back to the first phase when Biscuit’s back was turned to Angus. Zack thought that Biscuit was able to grab his horn without looking because he saw him trying to warn him to look out. But now, as he watched him, he knew that to be false. ‘No, that’s not what he did,’ Zack said aloud. ‘He couldn’t track him with his eyes, so he’s tracking him with his nose.’ Zack’s smile seemed to grow even larger. ‘He’s using his nose to track his opponent down.’ Hearing this, Jake looked back at the battle, surprised. ‘He can do that?’ he said under his breath.
Using his powerful nose, Biscuit located where he kicked Lex, then slashed at him. Unlike Zack, Lex didn’t know what Biscuit was doing or how he was doing it. So, when Biscuit attacked, his claws slashed Lex’s left arm. The pain screamed at him to move, to do something, so he thrusted his blade at Biscuit once more, but it was sadly in vain because Biscuit caught the arm Lex’s weapon was attached to, stopping it in its tracks. With his hand trapped, Lex didn’t know what to do. He held his head down in shame. As he looked back at Biscuit, he could see the young beastmen pulling his other arm back as he made a fist before he rocketed it forward.
Angus smirked, chuckling to himself. ‘I can’t lie, that human did well, better than most would on their first time fighting a beastmen. But still, the winner of this match has already been decided.’ As those words left Angus’ mouth, Biscuit shot his arm forward. The trapped Lex could do nothing to stop the incoming attack. Before the young man knew it, the beastmen’s fist had made contact with his face. The force of the attack was so strong it sent Lex flying straight out of the ring.
