Jake and Tone made their way down the hallway being led by the determined woman that was Gilda they made a right at a corner then continued down then made a left, they continued walking until they stood in front of a door Gilda pulled out a set of keys, but a different set then before the ones she gave to Porcha and the others were her personal set of keys this new set were the maids who's throat Gilda had slit only moments early. The keys were stained with the old woman's blood, the blood didn't have the time to dry it was still dripping and wet but unfazed by the blood Gilda sorted through the keys and found the right one for the door in front of them, as she put the key into the lock unlocking the door a loud high pitch scream could be heard the scream sent a cold shiver down Jake and Tone's spines but Gilda didn't react. They could tell the person screaming was a woman screaming and they knew why she was screaming as the voice of the woman screamed calling for help Gilda opened the door.
"Down this way."
She said as they made their way through, up to this point the décor inside the massive jumbo mansion was beautiful gorgeous even every inch inside looked like it belonged in a museum, hell if they hadn't known beforehand the two boys would have confused it for a museum but the moment they passed through the door heading downwards the décor changed, it was flat the walls and the staircase they were walking on were a cold gray and it wasn't just the colors that were cold the temperature the moment they passed through the door dropped significantly. Every exhale they made as they breathed, they could see, they walked down the staircase for a while then they reached the end, they touched down in the basement the basement was as sterile as a hospital it was empty and quiet there were no decorations or furniture there was nothing in that cold gray basement nothing but a large door. They walked up to that door but unlike the last one this door couldn't be opened with keys it was a security type door there were no locks on its service to be seen but there was a small keypad sitting on the wall to the right of the door as Gilda made her way to the keypad she spoke.
"Your handlers."
She said speaking of the shadow clints.
"Who authorized this little heist, your handlers found me when I was at my lowest, they offered me something I couldn't refuse a deal so tempting it was worth risking it all."
She was standing in front of the keypad now and she but for the first time since they started this mission she hesitated, but not because of anyone else but because of her own lack of actions.
"It took me four months."
She continued.
"Four months to find out the code to this door, then it took five more months to wait for golden opportunity when all of those bastards wouldn't be here when the security wouldn't be down here."
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
Every word that left Gilda's lips was filled with venom and hate it was so obvious that Tone and Jake could fill every bit of it, but what they couldn't see were the tears starting to form in the maids' eyes.
"I've…. waited so long… I will have my revenge."
She took a moment to compose herself then entered the code to the door it was a six digit code she entered 616489 a text on the key pad displayed green text that read accepted as the large security door opened, when the door was opened what laid beyond it was dark but only a second later lights started to turn on illuminating the room, the room wasn't that large no bigger than any average master bedroom and it wasn't that packed it was quite spacious within this room there were ten glass cases in with in each case was a weapon within each glass case laid a sword.
"Is…"
Jake stuttered.
"Is this them."
"Yes."
Gilda answered back.
"These are ten of the 100 mystic swords, ten of the 100 blessed children."
"Holy shit!"
Is all jake could say.
"Holy shit, holy shit!"
Everyone in this day in age had known of them maybe some had seen them in action but very few especially those from the slums had seen them up close, let alone touched them the 100 blessed children the blades created by the great blacksmith.
"These ten are stored in here because they don't have an owner yet."
Gilda said being the first of the three to enter the room.
"Were taking all of them lets go."
The second to enter was Tone if he was salivating more, he would have drowned them all, there were ten he didn't know there were ten in fact he didn't know how many were going to be in here in the first place, but he was happy if it was only one, he would have still taken the risk but now in this moment all he thought was the pay day. The pay day was all he thought about the pay day was going to be fat as hell 100,000 for each sword, 100,000 for each sword was all that was ringing in his head he smiled that pig smile of his that greedy pig smile he giggled like a little schoolgirl chatting with her crush.
"Come on jake grab some of them lets go let's get fucking paid!!"
Jake listened and followed the others lead and entered the room each of the glass cases were lined up against the wall furthest from the entrance, Tone took on all the cases to the left, Gilda the middle and finally Jake who took the right side, as Tone was giddily braking the glass cases grabbing each sword he saw Jake barely managed to open his first case and grab the sword in front of him. The first sword looked like it was ripped straight out of a fantasy video game he grabbed it and it was lighter than he expected, the sword was sheathed and its sheath had a strap so he wrapped it around his back and went for the next case, the next sword wasn't actually a sword at all it was polearm with a blade the sight of it threw Jake off all the stories he had heard were all the mystic swords were all swords he turned to Gilda's possession about to ask her a question, but when he saw her she wasn't moving she wasn't like Tone quickly grabbing every sword no she was just standing there staring at the case in front of her. In the glass case Gilda stood in front of there was a machete a machete she stared long and hard at before she broke the glass and reached for it, the mere sight of Gilda's strange behavior unsettled Jake he stifled his question and simply opened the case and took the polearm as he went to the third and final case on his part of the room, Jake laid eyes on a black sheathed katana and as he reached to opened the cases door blaring alarms started going off.
