(Chloe. Your name is Chloe.)
Confirmed. The nameless green wolf's name is now Chloe. The System congratulates the user.
The green wolf in front of me howls, It's as if it acknowledges its new name.
(My first pet huh... Chloe will be useful in guarding me since I'm still really weak... Status.)
I check my status.

Not much has changed... It seems like only my endurance increased, only by two though.
(Hmmm... It seems like increasing your stats is not that easy huh?)
"Congratulations! Congratulations! Are you feeling happy now? Not a lot of people pass that kind of test you know? It seems like the alpha wolf has decided that Chloe will be in safe hands!"
"Hahahaha... Speaking of which, how do you know so much about those wolves?"
"It's common knowledge already. Many people try to tame them, but most fail because of the alpha wolf. Only people that are able to handle their mental state correctly will be able to pass its test."
"Why that kind of test though? Shouldn't it be something like fighting or something?"
"Alpha green wolves know how to measure human strength, so anyone that it acknowledges as too weak will be given a different kind of test."
"Ahahahaha... Im that weak huh..."
"Dont worry Ryan! I'm sure you will be strong enough someday. After all, you passed its test, didn't you?"
"Mhm! The system is not able to calculate your mental willpower, so the alpha wolf had to test you like that. It's already quite impressive enough that you didn't faint when you opened the door. Most normal people would already have fainted by now."
(That is true... This smell is really disgusting, I still can smell it even though the wolves just dragged them away.)
By the way, I was still pinching my nose. Thats how disgusting the smell was.
"Woof!"
Chloe sat down in front of me. His tongue was sticking out, and his tail was waving... Again, this would have been cute if not that he almost surpassed me in height.
"It wants you to pet it. Go ahead."
I pet the head of the wolf in front of me. I had to bend my arms to be able to pat it... It seems like Chloe is liking it.
"Well then, get inside. Today is the first day of your training."
"Ah."
I completely forgot... Today is the first day of training... Dain is going to teach me this kingdom's language.
"Did you forget? What a bad boy, forgetting that today is the first day of school."
This guy in front of me is treating me like a child...
"Ah, what should I do with Chloe then?"
"Just tell it to guard outside. Yo, tin can! You're also a student, get inside."
"For the last time, my name is not tin can! Stop calling me that you mongrel!"
"Uhh... How am I supposed to communicate with animals?"
"Tamed monsters are able to understand what their master says."
(Convenient, now I don't have to learn monster language.)

After asking Chloe to guard the wood cabin, it instantly replied with a 'woof'. I think it just said yes.
Whoa. This system is really amazing... How is it able to do all of these things? I'll have to ask later.
The day went by with Dain teaching me this kingdom's language... But that's not all, apparently this
continent had more than 60 languages, every different area of the continent speaking different language.
There was apparently a unified language, but it was rarely used. Not really a language if no one wants to
speak it.
Also, this kingdom apparently had 2 languages... What? Why would you use 2 languages at the same time?
That's just not right... But Dain told me that apparently the other language was in decline. It was only used by nobles that had really ancient bloodlines, and the language they used were similar to this kingdom's
current, modern language.
Today was really weird, it felt like i was a kindergartener. I had to learn this language from the beginning, and while I was an adult as well. It felt as if i was a child again.
Tomorrow was pretty much the same as well. Me and Arci learned this kingdom's language, learning how to read and write, and also remembering its alphabet. At the middle of the lesson i asked-
"So, Dain. How are you able to understand me and Arci?"
"You know of the talents bar in the status screen, yes?"
"Were you born with a talent that allows you to understand any language?"
"50 points! You're half wrong! I was not born with a talent that allows me to speak any language."
"Huh? How are you able understand me then?"
"The correct answer is... My talent allows any intelligent being to understand me!"
"Whats the difference then?"
"I'm able to get people from 2 different nations that use different languages to understand me at the same time. Normally when you speak, you will only be able to speak in one language. However, everyone can understand my words at the same time. Thats the difference."
(Ah, i see. It make sense now... I was a bit confused how he knew what i was saying when I met him...
Wait, come to think of it... How was i able to understand Arci right off the bat... Huh? Thats weird... I
should talk to him about this later.)
I then paid attention to what Dain was saying... I'll solve this mystery later, this is more important.
...
The day after tomorrow. The last day of me learning language with Dain. Tomorrow after this, I will be living independently. Alone, in the wilderness. Sigh... I wish i hadn't agreed with him...
In the morning, me and Arci spent time with Dain learning. This time, it wasn't about language. It was about survival, how to live independently, how to make various tools and furnitures, how to earn money... Oh and if your wondering how I'm able to learn this, Arci is able to instantly remember anything. He has permanent and instant memory. How jealous... I wish I was a robot as well. Arci only spent seconds remembering the blueprints of the furniture and tools that Dain showed him. Ah, he also remembers every single thing from Dain's lessons. So he was basically my notebook now.
However, when the sun was about to fall-
"Alright then. How about we go hunt some goblins?"
"Huh, what? We're hunting those weird things?"
"Yup, you have to get first hand experience killing those things."
"But you said i was terribly weak, that i had no chance beating one of those things in 1v1."
"Hahaha! That's if you don't use your brain at all. You are smart after all, right?"
"Oi you, why are you telling Ryan to jump into the lion's den?"
"As i said, he has to get experience killing those things. Dont worry, I'll be watching you. Oh, and no using Chloe."
"You sure I won't die? I can't even use any tools?"
"Of course not. Here, take this."
Dain handed me an iron dagger that he took from his magic pouch. It was short and simple.
Ugh... I have a bad feeling about this... Still though? I have to kill something like that? Well it's not like I'm being sympathetic towards it. It just looked really ugly, and the memory of it's arm being chewed in front of me was still there.
(Alright... You'll have to get used to this...)
"...Alright. I'll do it."
I will do whatever it takes to adapt and survive in this world.
"Good! Let us find a test subject, shall we?"
Dain said with a smile. He said it as if those green, ugly things weren't even supposed to live.
We left the cabin, and set off to find a goblin.
