An output for the excessive mana circulating in my body. I don't think there's currently any other good method than for me try and use a magic spells.
For the night I simply have to study in this inhuman sight of myself. Honestly I look like some sort of edgy character of a fantasy story.
*Ahem*
"You can go back to sleep Feta...", I even woke her up in the middle of the night.
Clinging to my shirt, she asks, "won't you sleep?"
Uh... Right, I also have to sleep...
"Alright, let's call it a night. We will work on magic in the morning.", I guess goodnight to me.
Along with Feta, I went back to my room.
Strangely enough, at night I wasn't able get a single hour of sleep. Is it due too the mana surging throughout of my body or just me being not tired at all?
Since Feta is sleeping, I didn't try to make any noise this time and instead kept laying on the bed.
In the morning when it light enters through window. Getting up slowly, trying not to make any noise, I peeked through the window realising fog has started to weaken down and maybe in couple of minutes it might disappear.
"Feta is still sleeping, looks like she got exhausted even more due to last night magic treatment on me." Walking into the washroom again, I noticed I like the same as last night.
"My body absorbing this mana but I have no idea what's this mana feels like... This sounds weird."
"Ummm...", Feta woke up while she rub her eyes.
"Big bro Alvin?"
While, in half sleep she gets off from the bed and walk slowly outside to check on me.
"Good morning Feta. How was the sleep?", I asked.
With a little yawn she woke up and says "Good morning"
As she gets off of the bed, I pointed at the window and said, "look fog is feels disappearing, we might be able to find your sister soon."
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
Although, it might be early for me to say that but till it gets little more clear, I can learn to use magic.
Ignoring the fog, Feta started at the light bulb in the room. She kept staring at it for a while until she says, "does that glass ball use a magic stone?"
Ummm... The light bulb? I guess it's gonna be hard to explain...sigh...
"it's not exactly a glass ball but it doesn't depend on magic. It's an object made using science."
... It'll be a lie if I say a person who never saw electricity or scientific advancement to such degree would think of that but it's true. It's also made hard for a person to explain it in simple sentence.
"It's still amazing to see whole room get illuminated with a single button.", Feta Replied with a faint smile on her face.
In contrast to her smile and amazement, I'm surprised myself that what was the odds of me having solar panels set up and it would hold out for entire day even in thick fog and rain.
While washing my face and changing, Feta suddenly asks, "Big bro Alvin, you are changing your shirt?"
"umm... yeah!!", awkwardly replied.
Didn't how to explain it to her but these blood veins might scare me if I keep looking at myself like that. I wonder how she isn't scared after looking at me like that.
For now, I should just focus learning how to cast a basic spell.
While talking, suddenly the pendent Feta was wearing started glowing very bright. If I remember it correctly, it was same as the first time when I meet her.
"Does that mean?"... I asked to Feta as I looked outside the window. It appears the fog has dispersed completely.
"Big Bro Alvin, we can find big sis now.", with a bright smile she ran towards the window looking outside the clear sky in a while.
