walking up towards the little elf quietly eating the snacks and juice. I sat down the chair beside her. Looking at her my attention was grabbed by the pendent she was wearing. It was like a crystal in tear-drop shape.

I asked, "What's your name, little elf?"

It's better to start from the scratch. I'm pretty sure that she is also not feeling good about being near to a stranger, much less a human. I should've done this earlier.

With a slight hesitation, she spoke, "Feta... Feta Grace."

"Nice to meet you, Feta. I'm Alvin Gray.", I replied.

With the introduction out of the way, I decided to ask her about the last place she remembered to be in since the start of the fog. "So Feta, do you remember where were you before this fog?" It's pretty clear she isn't from this neighbor or this city or even this country. Heck I doubt there are elves on earth.

"I was with back forest, collecting fruits and playing with my big sister. Then suddenly the fog appeared and I found myself on the tree.", she holds her pendent which started glowing in sapphire blue color.

She said, "No matter how much I try to reach big sis, I'm unable to sense her location."

... That's what the pendent does?

I looked outside of window and asked the little elf, "Feta, is it due to this fog u can't find her location?"

She nodes in agreement. It was confirmed at this point that the fog is definitely not normal. If I compare that pendent with a modern device then all the signals are blocked by this fog much like my smartphone signal.

While being lost in thoughts, Feta asks me, "Umm... big bro Alvin. Are you really human?"

"...yes? do I look like something else?"

She points at the window stating, "I read, humans are scary beings but they can't handle mana in high density and fall sick."

At this point, I was calm but with her this statement it caught me off-guard. Did she just say 'mana' ? So you mean to say that there are also magical properties present in this world now.

Just what is happening? If I remember correctly, everyone was complaining feeling sick today suddenly in the group chat. Is this mana sickness she said is related to that? or it's just a coincidence? No matter what, this fog is not ordinary and it's making things more confusing. If I had to say, this fog is blurring the lines between different realities at once.

I need to know... "Feta, if you are done eating, let's go outside and have a look again." If I'm not wrong there is only one way to know about this situation. If this fog is the root of all cause, I'll dive deeper into the fog then.

Mom would be angry if she knew what I'm going to do. Let's not tell her about it then.

Once Feta was done eating, I packed essentials like water and few snacks before exiting the house. Getting outside, I noticed that the fog has gotten worse to the point that there is now no visibility now. I can hardly see Feta standing next to me and the ground.

Crouching down for better view, it seems like this won't be any much helpful at all.

"This will be pain in the back to navigate." I'll have to find an easy way to navigate sooner or it might cause me problems later.

Sigh...

"Don't get separated Feta, I won't be able to find you later. For now let's just take one step at a time and find more about the environment."

"Okay...", Feta replies and grabbed my hand as we walked slowly. It might not be a good idea to travel in same direction. This time me and Feta walked in opposite direction. I don't know what's to expect anymore. If the line between the realities are really blurring into each other then the plain/land around my house might have changed. I need to keep track of my route in this blinding fog as well and travel in one direction only.

"Let's hope for the best."... Hopefully I don't encounter anything dangerous other than cute elves.

Moving forward, Feta is having a confused face while she looks everywhere into the fog. To be honest, even I don't know if I traveled too much or little in this fog but I still hardly understand the surrounding.

Asking Feta for her confused state, "What's wrong?". She replies, "I don't know..."

...Hmm?

"What u don't know?", I asked.

Looking into the fog, she says, "I'm able to sense surrounding but in this fog there is like nothing..."

Elves can see through fog or something? I don't understand what she meant but does she meant her natural abilities aren't working?

"What do you mean by that?", I asked. What is she exactly seeing or sensing in this fog?

"... it changed again. I looked away and look back and I'm sensing different surrounding each time..."
