Speechless, she looked down quietly and looked more scared. I was worried if she would start to cry.

Looking around in this dense fog, I can understand there is no way that anyone will be able to find their way back. Even I who live around here and walked on this road had a hard time navigating. Should I just go back in the direction I came from and hope for the best?

Walking in toes with this little elf was one hell of awkward moment. She barely spoke a single word. I thought she is the one who asked me for help...

Looking at her, she is looking around for any hint but in this thick fog... even I think it will be hard finding my way back.

At last. walking for almost next 20 min, I reached back. To be honest, the time I took to get back and the time I took while walking towards my university isn't adding up. In short the time frame is all messed up to the point I don't know what's happening anymore.

walking into the house, I saw the little elf stopped standing at the door front spaced out. She must be questioning herself.

"Come on in, make yourself home. We will go out once fogs clears up a little."

With a slight nod, she entered and sat on the couch at front. In order to lessen up her mood a little, I gave her some juice and snacks.

"dad? why's he calling me n- ...... ", I looked out the window and realized this might not be only happening here but maybe everywhere. I answered the call only to listen my mom's voice on another end.

"... Alvin? are you there?"

"Ah... yes! did something happen? dad's at home?", I asked.

after few sec, she replied, "Listen Alvin, me and your dad is okay but if their is fog outside your house. Don't leave."

listening to her sound it feels like she is panicked and frustrated. Should I tell her that I was just outside?

... looking into that thick fog. I still can't understand what she meant by strange things are lurking.

Running out of the room, I saw the little elf on the couch slowly eating the snacks, I realized what she probably meant. I happen to find her an elf, but what if I found something else...

"An elf... a race from fantasy. Does that mean there are other things from fantasy realm as well?", thinking about it might be stupid but there is living proof out their eating.

Something is definitely happening outside that's out of the ordinary. At worst case scenario I might encounter something dangerous instead of a cute little elf.
