"Night is terrifying. It holds the monsters and beasts—a little creature like us cannot fathom to resist."
In Blanco's inherent memory, this message is loud and clear. Every creature that can see in the day will hide at night, letting the terror of darkness take over the forest.
"I have to find a place to hide." After looking at the breathtaking sky, Blanco fell back into the gloomy forest.
"There are countless trees; there has to be a place I can stay." While looking from above, Blanco had already noticed a few places fitting for a temporary nest. Jumping from branch to branch, he slowly descended to the ground.
"Whoo..." Through the forest came a gloomy sound that shook Blanco's little heart. He later realized it was the wind blowing through the forest. Nonetheless, each time the wind blew, it gave Blanco an ominous feeling.
After a long and frightening journey, Blanco finally arrived at a spot he had marked as fitting for him.
Shhh!
But it was already occupied. Two bird-like creatures were hugging each other as they gazed at Blanco defensively.
"No need to be aggressive, I'm just leaving." Having no confidence in shooing them away, Blanco quickly moved to another spot he had marked.
But that day, luck was not on his side.
Hssss!
"Okay, I'm leaving."
"Arrrrr!"
"I'm not gonna steal your food!"
Shhh!
"Not again..."
After checking almost all the places, Blanco stood alone on a branch. All the spots had been occupied by someone else, and Blanco had nowhere to go.
"Hmm..."

But as Blanco thought about what to do next, he saw a tiny creature, similar to a fluffy ball, moving quickly on the ground. No other creatures could be seen at this time—everyone was heading to their hiding spots. So this creature must be going to its hidden spot too.
Blanco silently followed the creature like a predator stalking its prey. The clueless creature, which seemed to be hugging a tree seed, moved and sometimes rolled before arriving in front of a hole at the bottom of a tree.
After it went inside the hole, Blanco slowly closed in, silently and carefully, to look inside. It was a very spacious hole, and in one corner, there was a pile of tree seeds. The tiny, fluffy creature placed the tree seed it brought onto that pile.
"Looks like this is not its temporary place—this is where it lives permanently."
"But not for long."
Shhh!
With a threatening sound, Blanco entered the hole, trying to scare the creature away.
But the creature didn’t seem threatened at all. Instead, it only glanced at Blanco once before going back to piling the tree seeds.
Oh!
"Looks like I don't have to resort to violence."
As he was now a guest in the creature’s home, Blanco didn’t try to cause much of a mess and curled up to rest.
When night fully fell, the fluffy creature rolled a large, heavy tree seed to the entrance of the hole, sealing it shut.
Inside the hole, it was warm, and Blanco's new roommate didn’t bother him in the slightest.
But even though Blanco seemed to be asleep, he was still awake, spying on what the fluffy thing was doing.
The creature appeared to be cleaning itself, licking its body. Then, after its bath, it rolled on the ground as it moved toward the pile of seeds.
Thud!
Jumping into the pile, the seeds tumbled down upon its body. But instead of being startled, the creature seemed happy, letting out a tiny cheer.
"Ku!"
One of the seeds ended up rolling closer to Blanco. As he sniffed it, Blanco realized he could actually eat it.
Blanco looked at the fluffy creature. It was also looking at him, urging Blanco to eat the treat it had given him.
After a moment, Blanco stuck his tongue out and pulled the seed into his mouth.
Crunch!
It was actually tastier than he thought, and he really liked it. Later, the fluffy creature threw a few more seeds at Blanco, and he ate them carefully.
After filling his stomach, Blanco rolled himself up comfortably and went to sleep. On the pile of seeds, the fluffy creature was already lying flat, its giant stomach full of seeds.
. . . . .
Blanco woke up to a sound—the sound of the fluffy creature opening the entrance to its nest.
Bright rays of sunlight fell onto him from the opening, telling him that the dark night had passed and a new day had begun.
Waking up, he stretched himself, and then, seeing the pile of seeds, Blanco took a mouthful and swallowed them.
"Should be enough for my morning meal."
After opening the entrance, the fluffy creature had already left, so Blanco didn’t get to say farewell. Stepping out into the bright day, Blanco started his journey again.
Running through the ground, evading obstacles, he jumped to a tree. From there, his journey continued—moving from one tree to another.
