Chapter 16 - End of a four legged

Lying upon a tree log, which was covered in moss and sun-drenched grass, the father of the forest makers watched as the sun slowly set.

As it did, he saw his children returning from their hunt, running toward him. Some of them carried the prey they had caught, while others came back empty-handed.

Looking at all of them, the father's eyes searched for a special one. But even after all of them had returned, the one he was looking for was still not there.

He hurriedly stood up. It was not uncommon for some of his children to die during their training hunts, but he trusted that the one he sought was still alive.

Shrush!

At that moment, a nearby bush rustled as Blanco stepped out from it, holding the corpse of a frog-like creature in his mouth.

The father became relieved as he saw him.

Holding the frog, Blanco gazed at the others. He noticed that the little female one and the fat one had each managed to catch their prey this time.

"Must be the effect of my training,"

After all of them had returned, the father climbed down from the tree log and picked up the frog corpse he had caught. He then led them back the way they came, moving through the large trees and jumping from branch to branch.

As night fell, the first makers hurriedly returned to their nest and closed the door lid.

"Today is a tiring day,"

After eating his prey, Blanco went to his usual spot and closed his eyes, deciding to postpone his training for the day.

However, the little female and the fat one continued to train after finishing their meals.

---

Under the night moon, a swift and cold wind blew across the field of grass.

In the dark hole in the ground where Blanco fell, a ray of moonlight pierced through, illuminating the surroundings.

One of the moon's rays slowly changed its trajectory and fell upon a dull, red-looking gem. As the moonlight touched the gem, it suddenly began to glow.

From the gem, red shining lines ran through the axe, and from the axe to one of the skeletal hands that was holding it.

The red lines slowly advanced through the skeleton, completely coursing through it.

Suddenly, in the four eye sockets of the skull, darkness appeared, and tiny glowing pupils emerged in each one.

Thud!

The hand of the skeleton landed above the hole, and following it, the whole skeleton rose from the ground. In one of its hands, it held the giant axe with the shining red gem embedded in it.

The skeleton acted strangely after rising up, gazing at its hand, which still had some tree bits and rocks stuck between its bones.

Lifting its head, it looked toward the giant moon in the cloudless sky. It raised the axe in its hand and held it above its body. The moon's light fell upon the red gem on the axe, radiating a red hue that shone onto the skeleton's body.

From the skeleton's body, an inky substance began to form, and a figure started to manifest slightly.

But in the next moment, the appearing flesh and figure upon the skeleton suddenly dispersed.

Thud!

The skeleton landed a foot heavily on the ground and put down its axe.

In the next movement, it lifted the axe again and placed one of its eyes to see through the red gem embedded in it.

Looking through the gem, the forest appeared in another vision to the skeleton's eye.

And as it looked around, it showed, in a shining color, a few creatures living under a tree...

---

In a den under a giant tree...

Tuk!

A little brown fur fox creature jumped up to catch a flying insect. The flying creature had a body that was shining, brightening the den from its darkness.

Except for the little one, all the other well-grown foxes in the nest were sound asleep at the moment. Among them, the largest one was sleeping closer to the exit of the den, which was tightly shut with a rock.

Bang!

Suddenly, the rock that closed the exit shattered as a giant axe came through.

The leader fox and the others woke up hurriedly, and upon seeing the broken rock, the leader became even angrier.

But the other members of the group became more curious about the axe that landed in the middle of the fox den.

They circled around it and sniffed it, emitting some growls towards it.

The little fox stopped playing and hid behind her mother.

Graaa!

The leader growled as he got closer to the axe.

Suddenly, the gem in the center of the axe began to shine, and the foxes' eyes were blinded by the light.

Chizzz!

The bodies of the foxes that were being blinded slowly began to disintegrate and turn into a liquefied-like substance from the extremely bright light.

Graaa!

The wolves roared and tried to get away, but they were pulled back by some unnatural force until they completely liquefied.

The little fox was held tightly by her mother, but she felt her mother's body slowly vanish before her eyes, and after that, she also began to disintegrate.

The flesh of the wolfs, after turning into a fluid state, swirled around the giant axe.

And in the next moment, the liquid rushed out from the den to the outside and surrounded the skeleton figure standing under the moonlight.

Encircling the skeleton figure, the liquefied flesh began to fuse into a new body for the skeleton.

The flesh laid on the four hands and through and throughout the legs and head, the place where the features of two mouths had form a flesh upon it, and long dark hair began to grow from its head.

Within a few minutes, a figure of a domineering figure stood under the moon.

Throughout his body, there was a dark mist rising up like smoke, and his deep, vacant eyes resembled the night sky devoid of stars or moonlight.

The figure lifted up one of his hands and directed it toward the tree where the axe had landed.

Bang!

Dislodging the whole tree, the axe rushed toward the hand.
