“[Alert: Something Has Changed]”
…
Uh…?
That’s it? No change? Nothing new? I don’t see anything popped in the inventory, did that gift change my physical appearance or something?
[System > Overview]
Hmm… there does not seem to be any physical change in appearance, perhaps my stats changed?
[System > Stats]
No change in stats either… maybe the description of that unremovable ring is updated?
[System > Inventory > E: Ring of ??? (???)]
Nope, no change at all.
Staring at System
Yo Athena, can you tell me what happened to my gift? Did I get anything?
…
…
Athena… you there?
…
…
Well, how could I forget? It has always been like that. Of course, I wouldn’t get anything my previous life was worthless, so it would make sense I wouldn’t get anything from there.
But it would’ve been nice if I had my phone, I could’ve seen some photos or read some souls-game guides.
The system said “Something has changed” and now Athena has gone dead silent.
Jeez man, I guess no reason to keep ranting let’s explore for now. I need to find a way to leave this dungeon, I’m only level 1 and I don’t know what kind of danger awaits and the problem is I don’t have any weapon to defend myself.
I don’t even know if I should wear this ring or not.
Well, I at least have my skills, I should use my ultimate skill “Consume” on anything I find since its effects allow me to obtain skills, stats, materials, and such.
I should also use the divine blessings to increase the success rate.
As I walk forward I realize how thin the air is here and everything is dead silent. I tried using my skill “Heightened Sense” to search my surroundings, but I couldn’t detect any life form within the skill’s reach.
If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
Then finally after walking for almost an hour, I found these shining stones, large crystals embedded in boulders, ground, pillars, and walls. Yet I had no mining tools, so my only option was to use my ultimate skill “Consume”. At first, I tried casting without using “Divine Blessings” hoping the Goddess of RNG would bless me.
But boy oh boy I regret picking this skill, it’s been 40 minutes in total, I used the first 15 minutes without using Divine Blessings and I only got 2x Magistones from the crystals. I became frustrated at its low success so I chose to drink one Divine Blessing since I was thirsty too but my luck got even worse 25mins have passed now I haven’t gained a single thing.
Consume! …
Consume! …
Consume! ...
CONSUME!!!!!!!!!
[Alert: You Obtained 1x Pure Mithril Ore]
[Alert: You Obtained 3x True Iron Ore]
[Alert: You Obtained 2x Mana Core]
FINALLY!!!!!! I got something using this skill in the last few minutes. I regret using Divine Blessing, it’s such a dope item, it gave me a super insane boost to my abilities, my Almighty Resistance felt rock solid, and Heightened Sense remarkably improved my strength, endurance, and perception. It should only be used for bosses. I guess it also improved my luck but my ultimate skill just sucks.
Afterward, I gained 1x Magistone, Mana Core, and another Iron Ore each, and then a few seconds later the Divine Blessing’s buff had run out.
Now that I had some materials, I quickly rushed to Inventory to read their descriptions and usage.
[Inventory]
Material: 3x Magistone (A small stone filled with mana inside, that can be used for crafting and recovering a small amount of mana)
Material: 3x Mana Core (A strong core filled with raw mana, that can increase one’s mana usage capabilities. Can also be used for crafting)
Material: 1x Pure Mithril Ore (Ancient ore which is known for its weightlessness, unmatched strength, and enchantments. Can be used for crafting)
Material: 4x True Iron Ore (Ancient ore which is said to be soft yet pure. It has indestructible properties if it's forged by the hands of a true blacksmith master and can also be used for crafting)
Hmm.. now that I have some items, perhaps I can use the “Craft” menu in the system.
[Craft]
[True Iron Ingot (Available)]
Only True Iron Ingot seems to be available for now, let’s just try to use one ore to see if anything changes.
[Craft]
[True Iron Ingot (Available)] > [Proceed]
[Craft]
NEW! [Soft Throwing Knife (Available)]
NEW! [Mana Necklace (Available)]
Finally! I can see some usable items now! Let’s use the system to craft them.
I first used the ingot to craft the throwing knives which granted me 10x in quantity, afterwards, I used another ore, to craft the necklace.
[Inventory]
Throwables: Soft Throwing Knife x10 (A soft throwing knife with poor durability to break after throwing once)
Equipment: Mana Necklace (Slowly restores mana over time)
“[Equipped: Mana necklace]”
These throwing knives seem to have such poor durability, I guess the “Craft” menu doesn’t have any smithing mastery. At least the “Mana Necklace” seems useful, although the throwing knives are meant for throwing but since I’m in this dungeon without any weapon, I’ll have to use them carefully until I can have something proper.
I guess there’s nothing left but to proceed further now.
