After announcing his return, Vorondor looked around, running here and there to examine his surroundings. "It feels so good to be free," Vorondor exclaimed. His gaze fell upon the hound, and he remarked, "I should take care of you first, but since I haven't encountered any dungeons in my youth, it would be best to gather information on my enemy."
"Ah, what was that thing called again? Oh, yes, the System," Vorondor muttered as he called upon the System to provide information on the hound due to Aldric's physical contact. The System, as always, promptly displayed the information, but this time it notified Vorondor with respect, unlike its usual behavior towards Aldric. System's tone changed as he knew who he was talking with. Soon a transparent display appeared in front of Vorondor, presenting the following information:
[Information on Target:
Name: Astrous Wolf
Monster Rank: A
Title: Lone Predator
Strength: 180
Agility: 160
Endurance: 200
Intelligence: 140
Mana: 180
Abilities:
- Cosmic Gaze: The hound can focus its four eyes on a target, channeling cosmic energy and mana through its gaze. When it locks eyes with its target, it can temporarily disrupt their magical abilities, weakening their spells or enchantments.
- Stellar Burst: The hound can release a concentrated burst of cosmic energy from its body, creating a powerful shockwave that knocks back enemies and damages them upon impact.
- Mana Absorption: The hound can absorb and harness mana from its surroundings, replenishing its own energy and strengthening its attacks. This allows it to sustain itself in prolonged battles and remain a formidable opponent.
- Dimensional Shift: The hound can briefly phase out of the current dimension, becoming intangible and evading physical attacks. This ability grants it enhanced agility and allows it to maneuver through obstacles or reposition itself strategically during combat.
- Cosmic Howl: The hound emits a resounding howl infused with cosmic energy, causing disorientation and confusion among its enemies. This ability can disrupt their focus, impair their decision-making, and temporarily weaken their defenses.
The above description is based on the current level of the monster and its known capabilities. It may change during battle, and the hound may also develop new skills.]
As Vorondor read the detailed description, he was impressed by the accuracy and level of information provided by the System. He acknowledged that there was always a possibility for a monster to evolve during battle or develop new skills.
"Since you attacked me first and left your five-claw mark on my chest, I think it is only fair for me to retaliate and see if you can survive my five attacks," Vorondor declared, fixing his gaze upon the Astrous Wolf.
Author's note to readers: You know where this is going, don't you?
The wolf somehow understood Vorondor's words and nodded in response. "You must still think I am that weak but bad luck for you. Alright, then let's begin," Vorondor said, and a burst of energy erupted around Aldric's body. The dragon mark Aldric had received started glowing bright red, and a radiant light enveloped his entire form. Scales-like structures emerged all over Aldric's body, and two horns sprouted from his head, while his hair turned crimson red.
[Draconian bloodline awakening...] the System notified. [Awakening complete...] it announced once again.
Aldric's body became unrecognizable, making it impossible to tell if he was still human. His body was covered in shining black and white scales, except for his face and half of his neck region.
The hound, which had been standing confidently moments ago, now trembled under the immense pressure emanating by Vorondor's transformation. "Okay, now let's start for real," Vorondor said, as he took his first step.
"Realm Convergence , Azure dragon Palace. As Vorondor uttered the words, a tremor shakes the place. The air was ignited with cobalt lightning, the ground cracked open like sapphire dragon claws. Then, with a deafening roar that chills and thrills, a blue colored dragon bursts into existence.
Immense and swirling, painted with hues of azure and cerulean. Flecks of stardust dance amidst swirling storm clouds, crackling with electric energy.
The land became jagged with obsidian monoliths that rose from a shimmering sea of liquid silver, reflecting the sky like fragmented mirrors. The ground pulsed with a faint bioluminescence, casting an eerie blue glow.
The surrounding air became sharp and crackling, infused with the scent of ozone and distant storms. Every breath shimmered with miniature azure sparks.
Through the commotion Astrous Wolf found itself standing in front of a god damn dragon who was not looking happy. Vorondor then extended one of his fingers, pointing it towards the wolf.
The wolf, realizing it it was his end, started running."Foolish! You can't run away," Vorondor remarked. The dragon's speed increased as it closed in on the wolf.

Boom!
As the dragon reached the wolf, a powerful burst occurred, sending tremors throughout the surroundings. After a while, the System finally spoke, [Congratulations for killing an A-rank Monster. Please absorb its core.] Vorondor then saw the lifeless body of the Astrous Wolf lying on the ground.
(Author note: Imagine the dragon as Chinese dragon, you know, the ones with long bodies and small legs (No offense).
Realm Convergence:A space with no connection to the outside world. Imagine it like jjk's domain expansion.)
"Since he is still asleep, let me do the honors for him," Vorondor said, pointing his hand towards the wolf's body and uttering, "Absorb." As usual, a dark black smoke enveloped both Aldric and the wolf's body.
Two hours passed, and the fog dissipated, revealing Aldric's motionless body. Another eight minutes went by before Aldric's body showed signs of movement, and he slowly opened his eyes. "What was that?" Aldric exclaimed. "How is it possible for a consciousness to take control?" Beads of sweat trickled down his forehead as he pondered the situation. Even when Vorondor possessed Aldric's body, Aldric could see and hear everything from his soul. After calming himself down, Aldric asked the System to show him what new abilities he had gained.
[You have leveled up to level 53.
Abilities gained:
- Gaze of Cosmos: A skill that allows the user to disrupt the mana flow in the air or when being used.
- Mana Absorption: Allows the user to gain access to and harness mana in their surroundings.]
The System then notified Aldric about his abilities evolving. [You have reached level 50, and all your abilities will be upgraded to one level above their preceding level.] [Congratulations, you have successfully evolved your Compound Synthesis. It will let you merge to different skills.] the System displayed.
Once again, the System rang out, [You have fulfilled the requirement to awaken your Sub-class.]
"Sub-class? What is that?" Aldric inquired.
[Sub-classes are secondary classes that one awakens, they are not related to weapon that belong to awakeners original class. They are seprate from the inate class that a person chooses] the System clarified.
"Then what was the requirement?" Aldric asked in return.
[After witnessing how the Demon King was gaining power, the Gods decided to grant their heroes sub-classes to make them stronger and give them advantages over others. The requirement to awaken a sub-class was to be killed by a higher-ranking monster than a hero and come back to life to kill that monster,] the System explained.
"What in the heavens! So, if it weren't for Vorondor, I might have died for real," Aldric thought to himself. After snapping out of his thoughts, Aldric asked the System to show him the available sub-classes. The System displayed a long list, including:
[Sub-classes:

Looking at the extensive list, Aldric was in awe. "Each of these skills can make me powerful enough to take on an army. So, which one should I choose?" Aldric mulled, laughing to himself.
