Aldric had been walking around for half a day when he finally sat down on a tree out of exhaustion. Feeling hungry, he thought to himself, "If only I could find something to eat." Suddenly, he felt a shiver down his spine as he sensed a killing intent directed at him. Looking around, he saw a rabbit with red eyes growling at him.

"System, what's wrong with this rabbit?" he asked while keeping his distance from it.

[It's a hound rabbit,] replied the System. [They usually stay in groups and only go out individually to find food.]

"Since it's alone, it would be a waste to let it go," thought Aldric greedily. He looked at the rabbit and decided to attack it.

Aldric jumped on the rabbit, but it quickly dodged his attack. This happened a few times, and Aldric grew frustrated. However, he finally got the hang of the rabbit's movements and was able to catch it.

As the rabbit died, Aldric heard a series of sounds in his head. He checked the System screen and saw that he had killed an Rank-G monster, the Hound rabbit. The System notified him that the dead body had an intact mana core and that he could absorb it to obtain new abilities.

Aldric placed his hand on the rabbit's body and said, "Absorb." Dark fog engulfed him and the rabbit, and after some time passed, Aldric heard several notifications. He had levelled up and obtained new skills.

"System show me my status and new abities that i gained" asked Aldric to System.

•Sprint: Let the user travel 10m of distance in single leap.

•Hop: Let the user jump 8feets in the air.

•Battle Sight: Allows the user to see the weak points of enemies and target them for more effective attacks.

All the above abilities are E-ranks.

Aldric was thrilled with his newfound abilities and couldn't wait to test them out. He stood up from the tree, feeling rejuvenated and ready to continue his journey. With his increased strength and agility, he knew he would be able to face any challenges that came his way.
