I wake up screaming, or the closest a bodyless entity floating in a void can be, and my memories from right before I lost consciousness flood back and in a panic I spread my senses in every direction trying desperately to find anything to ground myself and calm down, ultimately a fruitless endeavor as the space around me is more empty than it was before, but I do find something, the very black sphere that broke earlier, seemingly put mostly back together save for the numerous cracks spread across its surface, and an alien sense of calm washes over me when I notice their doesn't seem to be any items threatening to collide with it anymore, which only worries me more, this sphere is definitely important to my new existence that much is obvious but why? and why when I look at it am I filled with a feeling of calm coming from some unknown source, but my thinking gets suddenly cut off when I begin to take in my surroundings.

I can still see everything around me and presumably within this new universe but for some reason everything is even more blurry than before, and my area of focus seems to have shrunk drastically, whereas before when I wanted to see accurately I could see an area of presumably 10X10X10 kilometer area my new area of focus seems to have shrunk to a 1X1X1 kilometer area which is worrying in and of itself but that's not what's on my mind right now what is on my mind is that everything around me is empty, and yes you might think, "of course its empty your in space dumbass" but I mean empty, not the empty of my past life where there were still photons, and small particles traveling in space but truly empty, within a 1 kilometer radius of my sphere there is absolutely nothing, no light, no subatomic particles, not even background radiation and the constant creation and annihilation of particles that should be found everywhere in space, absolutely nothing, and beyond this nothing everything goes back to normal, the sudden change from absolute void to reality is jarring, like their is some sort of horizon separating reality from nullity, an event horizon, and it settles in, my sphere or "core" as I think im going to name it seems to be inside a black hole.
