Kaelin entered the village looking around curiously at the humans of this world in their natural environment, it seems she was indeed correct that the technology level of the humans of this world was primitive, perhaps somewhere between what would be the 900s-1000s on earth, there was livestock moving about on the muddy roads, mostly chickens and she saw a few dogs and cats, she passed a small blacksmith shop where she could see a young man in dirty ragged clothing bringing a hammer down onto a strip of metal forcing a clanging sound.

She made her way to a local tavern and entered through bulky wooden door attracting gazes from a few burly filthy looking men as she entered most of them holding drinks, their attention lingered on her and her silky clothing which was made from her webbing though most of their gazes quickly turned back to their drinks, the men looked to be workers for most of them and criminals for others.

She approached the counter where the tavern owner was pouring a drink for a customer, she arrived just as the customer left though she had the unpleasant experience of smelling the air as he passed and almost gagged.

She asked the guard a few questions about the village and while he was weary and curious of her she convinced him into thinking a young girl could not do much harm and skillfully avoided questions about herself, she was offered a drink but after a quick glance her curious look had turned to a revolted look as the watched the swirling syrupy sludge that they called ale.

She left the inn afterwards and avoided people to her best ability, she had learned from the tavern owner that there was a detachment of soldiers from the nearest city to deal with the local goblin issue though she had dealt with the goblins already they didn't know that and she wasn't about to tell them for the reason that she wanted to hitch a ride with them back to the city they came from.
