A bizarre field of strangeness has expanded in the wilderness, one that distorts and corrupts all within it. Said to be inhabited by monsters, anomalies and other impossible things, factions have arisen to contain, exploit or even facilitate it according to their ideologies. One of the most significant impossibilities to emerge from the field are the so called Demons; mysterious entities purportedly capable of granting powerful gifts to those able to beckon them. In a town sitting on the very edge of the field an aspiring witch attempts to commune with just such a creature in the hope that her cruel desires will be granted, but she has yet to learn that even in matters of the strange and unknown, nothing comes for free.
