I look at the blade once more after reading the stats and then turned around to tell the others about it.

“Good work everyone but there are more of us than the amount of equipments dropped by the Boss. Should we use the rolling system (System where you get a random number from 1-100 and the highest number gets the item)?” I ask

“Why should we. I mean we only have one warrior who should get the warrior based equipment and one thief who should get the thief based items. The only time we have to roll is for magic based items since both Mari and I use those items. Right?” Aki says while looking at everyone

Everyone nods agreeing with her since no one wants to have useless items in their inventories this early in the adventure taking up space. So with everyone agreeing that I should have the Tanto and Lute gets the warrior body armour.  I tell them about my new blade since they were quite interested with the small glow on the blade. I share the item information with them making them smile and congratulate me on my first ‘Semi-Rare’ Item.

The girls seem to know about these ‘Hidden Abilities’ because they didn’t look as surprised as I was so I asked them about it.

“What? Didn’t you get an explanation from the voice when it was teaching first timers?” Mari asks tilting her head making it seem like a question mark is floating above her head

My cheeks became red with embarrassment while telling her that the tutorial was so boring that it made my senses blank out so I could have missed it.

“Yeah, I also know about the ‘Ability’ property from it when I started but I also missed a lot since my ears only focus on interesting parts of the tutorial” Lute says touching her head also becoming a bit embarrassed

“I see these items all over the front of the stores since they are the weapons people want and it attracts customers.” Aki says suddenly

“People who want to buy them need a lot of money since they cost more than normal weapons because they are rare quality.You got a semi-rare weapon which doesn’t cost as much but it will still be at least 5-7 G. I heard that bandits would attack the buyer if he/she is weak if the item is highly-Rare +.” Sakura adds shaking her head and looks at me with eyes telling me to be careful

I nod my head to her promising that I will be careful but since what I have is Semi-rare I don’t have to worry that much.

“So what ability will this tanto get?” I ask

“It all depends on the materials that make the weapon so for example if the maker used a fire stone on the weapon it might get a fire attribute.” Sakura answers

“I see so since this blade is made from a Gray wolf it will have an ability of the wolf or something like that” I say to no one in particular

Just then a notification pops up in front.

Event complete: You have completed the special event “Wolf skirmish” and got 2nd place in contributions so meet with your instructor to get the corresponding prize.

“Looks like the Boss was worth a lot of contribution points since I got 2nd place overall” I tell the others

“I got 4th” Sakura says

“5th for me since I don’t really do the attacking but I did contribute with my buffs and 5th isn’t that bad” Aki says

“I got 3rd and I am happy with that. Really can’t wait to get my prize” Lute says smiling

“I got 1st. Maybe it is because I was the one who finished the boss off with my magic even though Silvi and the others did almost the same amount of work as me.” Mari says looking like she didn’t deserve it

“Why make such a sad face? Be happy! Congratulations on becoming first because you earned it yourself.” I say while patting her on the back

“Silvi is right. You are a mage and you finished the Boss off with your strength. Knowing the weakness of the enemy and exploiting it is something everyone does… Mainly in a life and death situation.” Sakura says looking at Mari and then adds “Congratulations”

The other two also adds their “Congratulations” with a physical contact like hugging.

“Let us go back to Yon-san and get our prize and it looks like I am level 24 now. What about all of you?” I say while starting to walk and the girls telling me their level

It took about 20 min to get to the cabin again from the battlefield and when we got there we saw the other participants lining up in front of the instructor who is handing out prizes for their contribution.

We walk towards the end of the line and just waited until our turn. I look towards the direction of the instructor to see what kind prizes a person can get. I see prizes ranging from coins to potions but did not see any equipment being handed out.

“For a battle like this you would think that they would give out equipment instead of potions and gold coins” I say out loud

“Are you joking right now girl? Do you know how hard it is to get a single gold coin?” Lute says surprised by my words

“Is it really that hard? I mean we got a few silver coins from the alpha in the forest plus a few more from the Boss just now” I ask them with a confused look

“You got really lucky from the alpha in the beginner forest because they don’t usually drop that much. Remember the alpha we defeated in the battle a few minutes ago? It didn’t drop a single silver coin only a bunch of Copper coins.” Mari says making me remember that we didn’t pick up any coin above copper then adds:

“The potions that the instructor is giving out also cost a lot since a level 1 Health potion cost 2 silver coins healing only 20% of your maximum hp depending on your level. As you level up to a certain point the potion will gradually lose effectiveness changing from 20% to maybe 10% and will keep going down.”

“Ah, I get it. Potions are like drugs and the higher level you are the more the body build up resistance so people need to buy better potions for better effect.” I say

“Pretty much” Mari says nodding

“Well money isn’t that much of a problem once you reach level 50 and when that happens you don’t need to worry about not being able to buy potions and equipment unless you are unlucky.” Sakura says suddenly

“um, can you give us more details about this money making thing?” Mari asks eyes full of interest

“Well at level 50 when everyone finishes the beginner program they are allowed to travel to other cities to join profession guilds. In order to join these guilds you need 5G which you can get easily if you keep hunting and selling the drops. In order to level up the profession you will more G so you can make better things or get better deals.” Sakura says explaining what she meant about reaching level 50

“So you make things and sell them for a better price because the raw materials are cheaper thus making a profit” Lute says

“Exacally! There are many professions out there and not all of them are creation ones. My father and mother both started out as level 1 Merchants, they get more storage and are able to open up their own shops with the help of the guild. Other merchants are more mobile and peddle” Aki says adding her own knowledge

Before anyone can ask another question a voice is heard:

“Next” Yon says looking at Aki after giving the previous person their prize

Aki walks up to the instructor and shows him her certificate. Yon looks at it and looks impressed because she got into the top 10 of the contributions. He tells her to keep up the good work and gives her 5 potions and a few G coins then asks for the next person.

I went up to him and show him my certificate which does not count as an item and will appear like stats and skills when I ask for it. He reads it and congratulates me on being second place and gives me a scroll before asking for the next person.

Sakura and Lute also got congratulations from him and got their prizes. Sakura got 7 potions and a few more G than Aki while Lute got 10 lv 1 potions plus 5 lv 2 potions and one extra G than Sakura. The last person in our group to go is Mari who is rank 1 which got us all excited and interested in what she will get.

Yon congratulates her and gives her a bracelet instead of a usable item. In this game equipment such as the weapons and armour cost a lot less than accessories such as rings and bracelets because accessories are harder to get and has amazing effects.

“What does your ring do Mari-chan?” Aki says curiously

“It gives me more mana regeneration about 2% more which helps out a lot since I am a mage class” Mari says looking at the bracelet on her wrist

“what item did you get Silvi-san? Only second and first place got different items compared to the rest” Sakura asks me which made the others interested too since I got a scroll

“Let me check” I say using ‘Observe’ on the scroll
