Azrael inside him couldn’t help but chuckle. For him Fire Flowers weren’t actually rare. He remembered a time when he was very young where he ate several rare materials without a care. The cost of them was huge. Not even the entire treasury of this continent may have been capable of paying for all of it.
‘Why is he so excited? If he actually ventured outside he could find many rare materials like this Fire Flower. Maybe he could even find some materials which are extremely rare like the Purple Ice Grass.’ Azrael sighed.
Mazir who somehow understood what Azrael was thinking yelled angrily,” Just because you are stronger than everybody in this galaxy don’t go thinking this Fire Flower is common! It’s good luck to find a rare material like this in such a desolate place like this mountain! If the Yale Clan knew there was such a material here they’d spit blood!”
That was indeed true. The Yale Clan was lacking materials of rare levels like the Fire Flower which could increase element level of percent. It was almost impossible to raise your element level by normal means, but even with materials it was very rare!
Especially with the recent situation between the two clans both of them were in need of materials, treasures and weapons. Thus many of their clan members were sent off to gather materials and make trading relationships with many other clans.
The Yale Clan was desperate about materials. They offered double the price for a single material. Thus they enjoyed a lot of trades which drained their treasury.
Mazir could use this chance to create some havoc in the Yale Clan.
“What’s our next move master?” He asked Azrael who replied.
“Let me try destroying the Slave Mark, that way you won’t die if you escape or anything like that.” He said as a strange light appeared on his slave mark.
After one minute the light disappeared together with the Slave Mark. Slave Marks were supposed to bind a slave to their masters so they never disobeyed their wishes, no matter what wish the master has.
Before leaving he grabbed the Fire Flowers and they were sucked inside his medallion. Inside it Azrael could create a medicine for him to cultivate with, which would help him cultivate faster and raise his elemental fire rate.
“Mazir.” Muttered Azrael.
““What master?” Mazir said.
“You don’t have any Elemental Arts. I need to give you a few.”
Mazir’s face couldn’t hide his excitement.
“Or no. Fooled you! You need to train for a few years more. Until you reach 8 or 9 you will not be given Elemental Art, but I will give you an Art which you will train until then.”
Mazir was confused.
“That Art is called “Moon And Sun - Tempering.” It tempers your body’s foundation and everything. It’s a very rare art which even the biggest families of this world don’t have, I’m sure of that. It has nine layers, each layer raises your power and strength.” Azrael said while looking proudly.
“However it’s not easy to cultivate it, even I don’t know a single person who reached the apex of it! It’s very hard to even reach the fifth or sixth layer, even I barely reached the seventh layer! I don’t know anybody of the eighth layer!” Mazir was shocked. He didn’t think this would be that hard to cultivate.
______________________________________________________________________________
Three months later, Mazir was now seven years old.
Azrael had given him the information about the Moon and Sun Tempering. He had started cultivating it but he wasn’t even near the first layer. It was very miserable.
However he had several advancements in other sides. For example he entered the late stage of the first layer, and soon he’d reach the peak of it allowing him to enter the second layer of the Novice Realm. His speed wasn’t that remarkable, but he had yet to swallow the medicine made from the Fire Flowers. He also didn’t truly try to cultivate as he focused on the art Azrael gave him before.
But his power still surpassed the second layer.
A black Qi gathered on his dantian
*BOOM*
He had advanced to the next layer, finally reaching the second layer of the Novice Realm! He could feel his power doubling, no tripling!
“ Why is my power rising so much?” Mazir was shocked.
“It’s because of the art you cultivate. I already told you it’s rare and even the first layer can bring you immense benefit to your body and power.” Azrael said with a smile in his face.
Mazir was very happy, “ I’ll go eat dinner and celebrate my advancement!” He smiled and said to himself.
_______
The Blue Moon Restaurant.
Mazir looked at the waiter who had a cold expression to his face.
“May I get your order sir?” He asked with a cold voice.
“ I order everything from your Restaurant. I hope 5 gold coins will be enough?” Mazir took out five gold coins out of his pocket and the waiter’s previous cold face turned stunned and happy in a moment.
“Of course Sir!” He shouted and quickly left.
Mazir looked entirely different. While his body was the same, his clothes were different and he was way cleaner than before. In fact somebody could mistake him for a rich young master with a handsome face, just like the waiter who took his order, in his mind he was thinking about it.
Azrael couldn’t help but think he was a child of a rich family. Those acts were part of his blood! He couldn’t help but exclaim, “ You are so talented at acting boy.”
Mazir was proud of his acting.
But suddenly the door of the restaurant was kicked and it opened. Three people entered.
Two of them had scars all over their head and tight clothes while the other one had an arrogant look in his eyes and wore precious clothes made from rare silk, he probably was a young master and part of a rich clan.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“Arwen Clan?” Assumed Mazir.
“Who is the owner of this restaurant?!” The young master shouted with an impatient face. Suddenly a person who was bald and fast started to run towards the young master and kneeled before him.
“What does young master seek in this small restaurant?!”
“Hmph, since you’ve asked, I want to rent this restaurant for the day, I and my friends just outside the restaurant want to have a nice night here, If you dare to say no then my father who is the clan master of the Arwen Clan will kill you!” The Young Master whose name was Arwen Tian said rather arrogantly.
The fat and bald owner of the restaurant nodded ten times, “Yes! Yes! We will definitely rent the restaurant to you for free at that too!” Tian was obviously happy with the owner’s words and nodded.
The fat and bald owner who was called Jie quickly told everybody to leave. But Mazir remained. While he was not sure if he could deal with Tian’s bodyguards which were probably close or at the fourth layer, he sure wasn’t going to leave without at least a fight, he knew nobody would recognize him anyway.
“Young boy you should leave, he’s the young master of the Arwen Clan ! He himself is at the third layer of the Novice Realm and is only Thirteen!” Jie told Mazir with a desperate tone.
Third Layer?
Mazir laughed. It meant that for each year he advanced a layer, that was laughable. Even amongst cultivators he was barely average. In fact he may even be considered trash. When Jie saw him laughing his expression paled as he immediately tried to slap him.
Mazir already saw the palm and dodged it. It seems Jie had a decent cultivation, he was at the second layer. It seems behind that fat and bald person lied a ruthless cultivator. Jie wasn’t trying to help him , but his actual reason of talking to him was that he replied badly and then he could kill him, that would help him leave a good appearance to Tian.
He slapped the hand away and punched Jie in the stomach with a burst of Qi which immediately created havoc inside Jie’s body. The said fatty was stunned and was unable to block the attack. He coughed blood and his face turned green.
The punch had injured his inner organs.
“You… B...b...Br...BRAT!” He roared as his hand burned in flames. It seems he was using a Fire Elemental Art called “ Fire Bullet “ He tried to punch him again yet this time Mazir had it even easier to stop him.
With another punch to his face, Jie was sent flying back. He was unconscious.
“Tian Of the Arwen Clan, Right?” Mazir smiled. His body was close to the body of a ten years old child so his voice was also rather older(acting bruh).
“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE! GUARDS!” Tian roared as one of the guards behind him jumped forward, Mazir got serious and jumped back several times.
“Master what can I do?” He asked Azrael who chuckled, “ Don’t worry, even though they are at a higher layer than you they relied mostly on pills and elixirs to reach their level, so it’s not solid, it can be also called Fake layer. You can defeat them with a little difficulty.”
Mazir gained a little bit confidence and tried to kick The guard who barely dodged. However this was not all as Mazir threw his fist forward straight to the guard’s head. Feeling surprised the guard tried to block it with both of his arms, but who would’ve expected Mazir to suddenly change his aim and hit him in his stomach.
Chapter 6 -
The guard was shocked! He expected this to be as easy as crushing an ant, however it seems that ant was huge. Not only did he fail to attack the boy, he actually suffered from the attack given by the boy!
“Master you were right, this isn’t as hard as I’d thought it would be!” Mazir couldn’t help but say to his master who laughed loudly.
“Who are you?” The guard said. He knew that the young master of the Yale Clan didn’t have such power and neither did any other young master, after all this boy looked younger than all of the young masters!
“You are not worthy of knowing who I am.” Mazir’s cold voice rang out. Anger rose in the guard’s eyes. In his entire life he had never been disrespected so heavily. He was an elite of the clan. He was at the fourth layer and not many people his age were at that layer.
Okay, he may have used some pills but that didn’t matter.
“If you want to stay mysterious fine then.” He chuckled and he waved his hand. Suddenly the earth shook and five balls of earth shoot towards Mazir, from each direction there were at least five balls of earth.
Mazir sensed them and tried to dodge. He managed to dodge most of them but two hit him. “Idiot don’t be overly arrogant! Even if he is a fake fourth layer cultivator he still was strong enough to deal some serious damage to him!
“I underestimate you boy.” The guard said as he slowly formed other balls of earth, this time twice the amount, however pain was visible in his face, as he had overused his Qi.
Mazir smiled,” I underestimate you too.” The Guard laughed.
“Then let me finish this.” Mazir chuckled.Suddenly a pressure started to eat the Guard. He was very nervous. “Does this brat have a hidden treasure?!” The guard said slowly. If that was indeed true, then there was no way he could win.
Mazir slowly moved his hand to his bag. The guard was anxious,”Does he truly have a hidden treasure?!”
However Mazir surprised everybody by dashing forward and attacking the guard with his elbow knocking the guard out in a single attack.
The guard’s earth balls crumbled to nothing.
Tian and the other guard were shocked. Especially the other guard! He knew his brother very well. While he knew he was underestimating the boy, he didn’t think Mazir could defeat his brother that easy!
It’s not easy to knock one unconscious when you are a pretty darn high level cultivator in your city! Not to mention Mazir was only at the second layer, even lower than their young master who was thirteen and only at the third layer!
However Mazir didn’t stop there and jumped towards Tian and his guard who didn’t think he’d attack so suddenly. The guard saw him and bit his tongue allowing a mysterious blue fire to appear protecting their young master from Mazir. However Mazir didn’t want to leave empty handed so he broke the neck of the guard who had no Qi left inside of him.
Tian was so surprised when he saw that the blue fire had surrounded him. This was a secret weapon his father had given to his guards so that they can protect him. He’d never expected for it to be used in such a random place!
He roared and suddenly the doors who had been closed before opened yet again. Several people entered, most were his age or a little bit older. When they saw the bloody scene they were shocked. The first guard was bloody, while the second was spreading blood from his neck.
Tian just peed his pants as he ran outside. But how could Mazir leave him do that? He threw his palm out and it pierced Tian’s body. However his attack was meet by a raw armour. It was probably a treasure given to Tian to protect him.
Mazir frowned. From the looks of the armor not even ninth layer cultivators could pierce it with raw power. He jumped in the air and this time used his leg. Suddenly Tian was throwing tens of meters away breaking through the walls.
But that didn’t kill him. Mazir couldn’t waste any more time so he quickly left. There was a fifth layer cultivator in the crowd, and he was 100% sure he couldn’t deal with him even if he spit blood to death.
Luckily the cultivator wasn’t trying to chase him and just ignored him. It seems he wasn’t part of Tian’s small circle of friends. He probably was just wondering what happened here and just came here.
It took about five minutes for Mazir to go to his hut which despite being in the mountains wasn’t actually far away from the city.
He was tired to death. He nearly used 90% of his total Qi he had stored in these few months, and the amount wasn’t that small actually. He immediately sat cross-legged and started to recover his lost Qi.
“I’m tired to hell!” He exclaimed as Azrael inside of him sneered.
“You just fought a fourth layer cultivator, even if they were strong you could still defeat them with my help.” Azrael said.
“Wait… Did I just kill somebody?” Mazir suddenly remembered that he had killed two people! And he had completely forgotten about that!
His hands suddenly shook but after a moment he recovered swiftly.
“They won’t the last to die by my hands…” Mazir muttered as his eyes showed resolve. He knew that he would have to kill anybody who stopped him, or attacked his friends and him. He no longer was a mortal, he was a cultivator. For cultivators killing was a normal thing and for some it was even a hobby.
“ When I was your age I had already killed dozens of people kid, two people aren’t much, “ Azrael snorted inside of him. Mazir didn’t feel any better as he threw up half of what he ate previously. After a few minutes he finally calmed down.
He lied down on the grass while looking at the sky. He didn’t know why but looking at them calmed him down every time he felt rage inside of him. Even now when he was a cultivator, he could still feel peace inside his heart.
This way four years passed....
Mazir was now 11. His black hair had grown a little bit. While his eyes were starting to become black. His cultivation didn’t have much progress as he had only reached the fourth layer of the Novice Realm. Reason for that was because he focused on the Sun And Moon Tempering Art.
Even so he still had to reach the first layer, showing the difficulty of the Art. Sometimes he felt like just abandoning the art and learning another, however something inside of him told him to not stop and that he was very close.
The City didn’t have many changes, but the inner situation had grown to even small battles between cultivators of the Yale Clan and the Arwen Clan. Besides that the Young Master of the Arwen Clan, Tian had just entered the fourth layer. His progress was extremely slow. He had also given Mazir a bounty to his head, close to a thousand gold coins.
“Master why am I still unable to reach the first layer? I feel like just stopping training this art!” Mazir muttered with a weak voice.
“Do you think it is that easy?! It took me twenty years to reach the first layer and fifty to reach the second!” Azrael knew the pain Mazir currently had. It was very painful to have to wait years before even the slightest result.
“By the way, in less than a month the war between the two clans will start, I can feel the pressure between the two clans rising each day. This city is going to get wrecked in the end. We must leave the city.” Azrael said.
“I want to see the two clans fight, it will give me a little bit more experience about stuff like this.” Mazir said.
“That will give you a little experience about the world, that’s good.” Azrael nodded at what his disciple said.
“ By the way soon I will give you an Elemental Art of the Void Element. Be glad, few people have trained a Void Art, and even fewer have succeeded in training it.” Azrael said while looking seriously at Mazir.
Mazir was strolling around the roads of the Dragon Fang City. He doubted the City Lord would stop the war between the two clans. It would benefit him greatly if the two clans fought each other, as he wouldn’t have any trouble commanding the other clans any longer.
The Yale and Arwen Clan were always a problem for the City’s peace and for the City Lord. They almost never responded to his orders. Thus it was difficult for the City Lord to maintain peace and order.
The war between the two clans would drain them until the city lord finally gave the finishing blow to both clans after their war.
“Blue Dragon Spirit!” Suddenly a shout rang out and a huge blue dragon who looked like a ghost materialized. It roared and it went past him. Was it trying to kill somebody?
Mazir sensed two powerful cultivators. One was at the seventh layer of the Novice Realm, while the other at the eighth layer, the difference between the two was barely noticeable. However to Mazir who was only at the fourth layer he doubted he could even withstand a single attack from one of them so he immediately backed away.
“Bastard!”
