Chapter [4] - The Realms

One Year had passed inside the dimension.

Soon Mazir would leave the dimension to control his Qi. There wasn’t any particular change in him besides his body. He’d have to use illusions to trick the guards and people. Because nobody can change so much in a single day.

Even the Servants would get suspicious and most likely report it to a guard or a higher rank member of the clan. While Mazir may be able to deal with a few guards which didn’t have much Qi inside of them, it would gather a lot of attention which he didn’t want for the moment. I’d gather too much suspicion.

“Master, can you tell me a little bit about the realms? You never actually mentioned them.” Mazir asked his master,Azrael who was bored to hell.

“Of course. In the Mortal Realm there are  Twelve Realms. The First Three ones are Lower Realms,The Three others the Middle Realms, Three other the High Realms and the last ones, Three Quasi Realms.

The Lower Realms are : Novice, Element Foundation and Master Of Element.

The Mid Realms are : Core Foundation, Soul Transformation and as for the last one, you are too weak to even know about it let alone the other realms.

Novice means you are just beginning to use Qi and it’s still in its Baby stage unable to do much. Element Foundation creates a deep solid foundation for you to cultivate further. Master of Element means you have successfully have chosen your element and mastered it to the Child stage( There are many forms Qi manifests).”

Azrael explained slowly unwilling to give any important information away to Mazir who was very interested and who wasn’t going to miss any single valuable information.

“Most likely the clan patriarch of your clan is an Element Foundation cultivator. The First Realms have nine layers or levels. The difference in power is pretty huge, but the Qi you can absorb is raised each time you breakthrough, so the difference just gets higher and higher.”

“However don’t get too excited. The difference in Qi need to enter the second layer from the first isn’t the same. It gets bigger and bigger. Thus each layer is difficult to break through unless your talent is very good or your Spirit Roots are rare.”

That’s one of the reasons why the amount of cultivators inside a city with nearly a hundred thousand was barely a hundred or a thousand! Because most cities didn’t have clans with deep roots to a city thus most cultivators were either rouge or part of a Cultivator Country(Yes there are more countries than before(which means more exploring yay)

“Yes, I understand what you mean master. However I will at least try to enter the middle realms or I’m going to be just a mere trash.” Azrael felt like slapping Mazir.

‘The Middle Realms YOUR FATHER you must at least become an IMMORTAL’ He thought in his mind. However he didn’t dare to say what he just thought it would demoralize Mazir a lot. Which he didn’t want to happen currently.

“When you are out of this dimension I want you to gather as much power as you can.” Azrael said. Mazir nodded.

“Then let’s go.” He waved his hand and the old portal appeared allowing the two to pass through it.

Mazir wore his old slave clothes, because his new clothes were way too high class for a slave which would cause people to notice it almost immediately.

The Yale Clan was a famous clan in the city Mazir lived “Dragon Fang”. The name came from a legendary fang of a dragon the first city lord of the city had found close to the city’s old territory which now was in the middle of the city, caused by the expansions of the city.

The city was home to over 300.000 people and not even 10000 were actually cultivators. Most of them were part of the Yale or Arwen clan the two major clans of the city. They held at least 75% of the total cultivators inside the city.

However a jungle couldn’t hold two tigers!

The two clans had many small battles between each other. However that wasn’t why they hated each other. It was because the Arwen Clan was ambushed by the Yale Clan in a huge war a decade ago!

Thus soon a huge war between the two clans would probably start and the city would be part of it!

“I hope the Arwen Clan wins it, even though I have a few problems with their Executive Elder who nearly killed me, they at least didn’t do what the Yale Clan did to me.” Mazir said to himself as his master wasn’t close.

If the Yale Clan was destroyed, he could escape without any trouble. He doubted the weakened Arwen Clan would care about a single slave. They had other means to become strong again. That meant he would only get benefits from the war between the two clans.

“Master, should I seek my resting day ? “

Slaves had no right to rest, but a rule had entered in the several clans that each year a slave could request a day of rest. However that means that the moment they return they would need to work way more.

“Yes. Then you should go to a mountain and try to awaken to Qi.” Azrael said from inside his medallion.

“Okay.” Mazir nodded. He went to the main clan’s base.

It was located in a corner of the city and was pretty huge. The guards of the gates were close to the late novice realm. Usually they get such assignments which can last from a day to a month. It’s a way to make even strong people work a bit.

The guards glared at Mazir. Seeing it was a slave of the Yale Clan they nodded and let him pass.

“Hurry up, you were a little bit late, but since it was a storm yesterday I’ll let it pass.” One of the guards said. The storm yesterday was crazy(remember a day in the dimension is like a few minutes outside? A hour? Not sure)

“Sorry, I was unconscious because I was almost hit  by a lightning.” Mazir said, the guards laughed. Not bothering with them anymore, he just entered the main clan.

He then looked at a huge building just next to the gate. There was a sign before it saying “ Main Information Building “  Inside it he could just ask for a day off.

Which he did.

After that he just left and went to a mountain. All of this took nearly two hours.

He looked at the sky, seeing that there was no sign of a storm he nodded and sat cross-legged. It would be easier than before for him to sense Qi that before, and he hopefully wouldn’t explode it like he did before.

“Fire to Fire,Water to Water,Chaos to Chaos,Darkness to Darkness, yet none of them can compare to void…”

He found it laughable.

He was about to learn how to use void. What kind of luck was that?

He took a long breath before slapping his face in each cheek.

“Let’s start.” He waved each of his hand and suddenly an immense pressure entered the surrounding area.

He closed his eyes and focused greatly.

The difference between the Mazir of yesterday(a year ago) and today(now) was that he held a more mature feeling.

One hour later - nothing

Five hours later - nothing

Ten hours later - also nothing.

However with each hour he felt he was getting closer and closer.

After fifteen hours he had finally managed to sense Qi!

Mazir was filled with excitement and joy!

He had just entered the first layer of the Novice realm.

He was just six years OLD ! How amazing was that?

He couldn’t help but jump in happiness. Azrael inside of his medallion sighed.

‘Isn’t it just the first layer?’

If Mazir heard what he had thought he’d probably cough blood.

He’d wasted 365 days in a stupid dimension with almost no person to talk with. Normal people would just go crazy!

He used two more hours to make it sure he didn’t dream of actually sensing and using Qi and all this was actually true and not a dream.

By that time he was pretty sure there was no way this was a dream.

He no longer could hide his happiness from his entire face.

He was finally a cultivator. Even the weakest cultivator could wipe an entire village, and he was finally one of them.

Of course he wasn’t actually able to wipe an entire village.

Mazir took a long breath and tried to control Qi.

It wasn’t that easy, as he couldn’t even make it go out of his body.Azrael smiled from inside the medallion. “ It isn’t that easy to control Qi on your first try Mazir. Qi is ancient and special. Besides the Novice Realm isn’t that strong and only the next realm allows you to use Qi outside of their bodies.”

Mazir already knew most of what Azrael said as he had read thousands of books inside the library. But most of them were either about medicines or crafting. Thus he didn’t know that much about the cultivation levels.

He looked around,” I smell a rare Fire Flower here.” He said to himself and licked his lips.

A Fire Flower could raise his Fire element rate inside his body by close to one percent. Although he didn’t need fire as he had Void, it was always good to have a backup element besides your main element.

But that isn’t all, it could be also used to speed your cultivating a bit, for Mazir that was what he wanted to have the most.He looked around twice and finally found where the smell of the Fire Flower came from.

It was a beautiful orange flower which if you didn’t look carefully could be mistaken for a normal flower.

It wasn’t just one, there were at least six of them. Mazir sucked air crazily. This would help him reach the second layer quickly. It has to be said that usually to reach the second layer it takes about a month to two even for the most talented people.

They would help him a lot!
