Nemesis’ routine didn’t change much from when the fight between Eric and Cain had concluded. She returned to her personal dominion, her clothes dirty with blood. Snapped her fingers, and instantly she was cleaned. At the same time, her outfit was swapped. Her ancient-looking toga was changed for a comfy pajama, her sandals became slippers shaped after the head of a goose, and the band holding her long hairs in place was transformed in curlers red as her eyes or the stain she had removed from her clothes. Somehow that relaxed figure of hers didn’t manage to erase her other side, that warrior inside of her. Whatever the reason why, now all of Nemesis's attention was focused on her favorite hobby since three months ago. Having the age she had, she already tested her tastes and preferences regarding entertainment. She thought voyeurism wasn’t for her three months ago, but now the reality of the situation contradicted her prejudices. *Or maybe it’s because of him… * That thought, not particularly daring or worth embarrassing about, had started ruining her peaceful times. In the beginning, she watched him just out of curiosity and boredom since she had caught up with all the tv series from all the dimensions she had access to and felt like it was a waste not using that link she had created out of the kindness of her own heart. Yes, everything began this way. She was simply asked to help Athena with a plan. A so complicated plan she didn’t even grasp the end of it. Slowly what was only curiosity transformed, and she became interested in Eric. Then that interest transformed into jealousy when she saw him enjoying his days with Rubra while she was alone, waiting for him to visit her in Panpolis. *Luckily, I remembered him about it when we met because of his poison, but everything was ruined by that phoenix once again! * That night she felt particularly weary because of the work She had to give retribution to too much-conceited mortals, inflating their egos to blasphemous levels. When she returned home, turning on her favorite show, all she could see were flames. For a moment, she was worried Eric was being betrayed once again: this time by that double-faced phoenix. Moments later, the flames slowly disappeared, and she saw Eric opening his eyes, and Rubra fainted in his arms. *Ah, at least he got rid of her. * Not even the minimal hint of sadness in her mind for her possible departure. The most negative feeling in her was the slight annoyance of being wrong about her prevision, accompanied by an itch hitting her right temple when she saw Rubra hugged by him. The itch almost disappeared, focusing on the possible cause of their apparent clash. Seeing what had happened minutes before the present scene at the accelerated speed, her curious face morphed into rage. *It’s all fault of that damned book! * She guessed so, only looking at Eric’s face after calling the Status window. The ability to read minds was to another level, but guessing all of that, definitely wasn’t something easily achievable by any other creature, be it a divinity or not. The only exception to that on Ouroboros was probably Rubra, who lived with Eric for that long time and with such closeness or some components of the disbanded Hero Party. That’s the level of observance and interest Nemesis had in him. As she kept hypothesizing about the possible topics of his discussion with the system, she slowly returned to the Live transmission. When she finally scrolled to the present moment, Rubra’s eyes were red, and Eric’s multicolored. *What am I, a blitz?! * She had missed the clou point once again. One time was okay since she was working, but now these two had started making love while she was thinking about Eric’s mental well-being. *Wait, how long was I lost in my thoughts? * As an immortal being, the concept of time management was useless to her, but what made her blush instinctively was that this was the first time she lost the perception of the passing of time because of a mortal. She felt a strange feeling inside of her. Fear, happiness, sadness, curiosity. She didn’t know what name to give to this emotion. It was more correct to say that she refused the answer that appeared first. *No, it’s impossible! * Her logical mind didn’t accept what she had felt and identified it as an attraction. Again lost in her thoughts, her eyes were lost absentmindedly in the wild swings of Eric. Slowly her thoughts became fainter to the point that she regained conscious control of her own body, surprised to find out that one hand was massaging her breast while the other kept her forehead in place. Immediately her body reacted to her extreme surprise. As a prototypical housewife, shrieking scared by a rat, she raised her arms to the air in the fastest way possible she could. The movement was so fast that the unbalanced position of her head made her lose balance, hitting her head on the ground. That level of pain was nearly unnoticeable to her. Her thoughts reflected her primary problem at the moment. *Just what happened to me?! * Her mind was completely chaotic at that moment. She wanted to raise herself from the ground using her hands like in a push-up but seeing the guilty hand closing again toward her chest, she used the more energy-inefficient option: she used her wings. Taking the position on the seat she had left, watched the sphere, and the scene was the same as before, if not for the changed pose of that inhibited couple. Instantly she decided to turn off the connection. *Actually, I’m quite tired today. I’ll go to sleep early! * Useless was her own self-rationalization. That night Nemesis took an awfully long time to go to sleep. From that day on, her eyes were cautious when she turned on the TV sphere as if she was prey trying to evade a trap. The two subsequent days, seeing that irrationally long mating process, she thought always the same thing.

*They’re at it still…yeah, I’m still tired from yesterday’s bad night of sleep…*
The sad truth was that each night she slept even less.
She didn’t even need to sleep as a goddess, but hers was more of a psychological than physical strain.
Finally, on the fourth day, Eric had begun his travel preparations, making her happier than she had ever been in the last week.
The worst surprise was that third-wheeling dragon.
*How crazy can they be to travel with the mother of the dragon they killed?! *
Somehow her behavior, in clear contrast with Rubra and her relationship with Eric, made Nemesis have mixed feelings about her.
Slowly she adapted to this new cast member and their interesting interactions.
In this way, her routine regained her usual rhythm. She was now eating popcorn while watching the three entering the Adventurer Guild.
That fat, old pig was clearly aiming for Rubra and Eve.
Nemesis had already assigned him the side-evil character role and could guess the most probable ending.
*Still, some face-slapping is always enjoyable, even though cliché! *
It was right in her alley as a revenge goddess.
Her right hand went down again inside her pack of popcorn, finding the package empty.
She snapped her fingers, but no popcorn appeared.
Then she heard through the sphere a thunder rumble.
The sound speed is way lower than that of light, after all.
Her mind started linking the pieces of the puzzle and tried visualizing the sight of Panpolis.
After an instant, her eyes, red in rage, started emitting light.
No shouts or violent actions. Revenge, after all, was best served cold.
Icy words resounded in her head.
*Just you wait for my answer! *
