Odd the mission didn't update hours ago. Well, that doesn't matter.

Damion awakened from his bed after only a few hours of sleep. No sunlight. He got up from the bed opening the curtain, revealing the dawn night sky with the stars illuminating the horizon. He feels refreshed after a few hours of sleep. He never felt that before in his life.

Commanding Motive skills must have done the work. The skill effect was swift. After activating it back in the dining room, Damion felt heightened, and his perception increased. His grabbing the chair instantly to save Charon from plummeting to the floor was another example he took note of.

Damion looks down from the upper balcony on the West chamber, viewing the front lot. There is no chaos, negligence, or disruptions. The discipline of the hoplites impressed him. He stared at the camp for another few seconds before heading back inside. He grabbed a towel and went into the bathroom, closing the curtains.

He threw his clothes in the basket in the corner and grabbed an empty large pail. He walked to the miniature pool, filling up the pail, couple of times and pouring it into his bathtub before succumbing to the cold water. He leaned his head back. The water instantly melted the ice and warmed the temperature as he sat in the tub.

Water Temperature:

1 C -> 12 C

The curtains opened, spooking Damion, and he subconsciously blasted an energy blast to the floor. “Oh, it's you. What are you doing in this bathroom?”

“The bath is ours,” Thaeda said and closed the curtains.

Damion blinked his eyes, “I’m sorry what?”

Thaeda nodded, walked into the bathroom, took off her robe, and pulled out an empty bathtub. “You will get used to it. Bathing Culture in the palace for main residents.” She grabbed a pail, filled up her bathtub, and dived in.

“Is it just you, The Queen, the servants, before I came to Mytikas?”

Thaeda murmured in agreement, “Even though the Queen’s room is in the main building, she wanted a space for a bath of all residents here, so she had the second floor built on the West chamber for a bathroom.”

Damion noticed another entryway, “What’s that lead to?”

“A pool. It’s unusable for months, so the bathtubs are the backup.” She then switches topics, “How do you feel?”

“Haven’t had this relaxation in a long time.” He summons a particle of energy on his palm. Thaeda paid attention to his hand. Damion looked back at her. “You interested in this huh? ”

“Everybody does. I have seen the capabilities of what you did yesterday. Rumors have already spread about a ‘demigod’ in the kingdom.”

“Famous, already,” he murmured, visibly showing disappointment.

“Oh come on, why the down face?” Thaeda scrubs her arms.

The energy sphere dissipates. “I’m not used to the popular publicity yet. It will take a bit to get used to.” Damion splashes water onto his face as smoke emits from the pores of his forehead.

“I mean you will be fine. Remember before our duel and people cheering for me? You will get used to it. I can promise that."

Damion then asks if she gets scrutinized for fame just because of that duel. Thaeda denies it because she is treated as close to Damion from others' point of view, doing the opposite effect instead. He sighed in relief, and as he was about to ask her something, the curtains opened again. “I just realized you guys are up early.”

“Can’t sleep so I walked around and noticed commotion and found you guys here. I can’t miss the fun.” She took her sleeping robe off and set her bathtub in front of the two and entered it, “So what did I miss?”

Thaeda and Damion stared briefly at each other before both talked at once. “What?” Got a little awkward followed by a moment of silence.

“Anyway I was learning about the history of this bathroom after being told this is where hangouts can be.” As he finishes his sentence, Queen Isaella moves up to the edge of her bath, still facing Damion and Thaeda. Then she descends into the water, leaving only the view of her provocative eyes and long black beautiful hair, on the edge of the tub. “I swear both of you have similar eyes to the point where I might be confused between the two of you.”

“What do you mean by that?” Thaeda leaning closer to Damion, giving her eye expression to Queen Isaella.

“See, this is what I mean.” Damion sighed as he was about to bear the trouble of uncertainty from the two.

“Damion? You look simply terrifying. What the hell! You got smoke all over!” Charon concerningly observes his menacing presence. His arm and neck are heavily jet-black, and the smoke flows outward from his arms and shoulders. Very ironic as his facial expression appears normal, not even a glimpse of pain or sorrow. Charon, being prepared, jerked a bucket of water from behind his back, plunging water at him.

SPLASH.

“Ah, What the. Ptui.” Damion spewed water out of his mouth violently, causing a piece of the ground to fly off. “Sigh. Thanks, I guess. Charon” He was miffed by that and wiped off the excessive water in his eyes.

“Sleep well?” Charon asked.

“Fair three hours. My body is probably telling me to get up as I’ve been out for long enough.”

He and Charon walked across the humongous front lot, away from the camp, as the sunlight rose from the horizon. Charaon was curious why Damion came out of the palace like a burning man. Damion explicitly said he lost control of his energy as he hadn't trained to optimize it as he awoke near noon yesterday.

“Today is the first day. Do you want to start first? My body will flare up if I don’t do anything within the next three hours.” Damion unsheathes his sword. Charon holding his Galea, “A year for us but fifty-two for them since I last wore this helmet.” He inserted it through his head and tightly clamped it.

“I don’t mind starting first. Last night's sleep was too high of a comfort.” Charon pulled out his Gladius, and both were in position. The grasses and the trees across the pavement picked up the gust, and the howling sounds grew.

“Get ready.” Damion’s eyes glow blue as the smoke emitting from his body magnifies.

Stolen story; please report.

“Teach me!” Charon smirked through his teeth.

Both darted through the grasses and clashed their blades, generating a miniature shockwave. The camp’s fireplace vanished, and the tents blew upward, exposing all the hoplites asleep on their beds.

⚠ New Objective Added ⚠:

* Keep Charon in the round for at least five minutes

"Try to keep up for five minutes!" Damion said as he unleashed swarms of energy slice attacks, expecting him to dodge or fight off one of them.

Charon, for a human, is rare. He can swiftly dodge swarms of energy slice attacks flying at a rate of speed faster than a horse. Fully drawn out of his Gladius, he blocks the last one with the edge of its blade. Despite the effort, the energy refuses to break off, and the pressure nudges Charon off balance, pushing him slowly away from Damion.

Damn. This is not fun. Charon grunted as he tightened his thighs and calves to anchor himself against the energy attack. “GAHH!” With his left arm, he strenuously lifted it high and directed his forearm towards the spine of Gladius’s blade. He slammed his forearm vigorously on the spine. “This is what you want us to achieve!” Charon said as blood gushed out the spaces of his mouth and the nostrils of his nose.

“Come on! Break it.” Damion summons an energy ball blast from the palm of his hand. “Or otherwise.”

Shit. Charon grunted as he stressed harder, causing his neck veins to bulge to the surface of his skin. Come on! Come On! He internally panics, seeing the energy ball proliferates with each second. Fortunately, he breaks the energy blast, dispersing it in half. BREAK. The blade of his gladius sword rips off, landing beside his foot. He took a couple of deep exhales.

Zap ZAP.

Charon looked up and gasped in horror. The energy ball has reached beyond the view of Damion’s hand. He is depleted. Crushed on the inside, he was about to pass out, but a sudden flashback of him nearly passing out during the audience was an embarrassing moment for him. Random boost of adrenaline, he jerked back up and ran up to Damion at the last second before he fired the energy ball. “NOO!” Charon screamed as the energy ball fired from his palm, and the direction was towards the Lepritida. He leaps into the air and gets himself hit in the chest with the blast but also gives a kick to Damion’s head. Both went off balance and slumped to the floor hard.

“Ow!” Damion murmured, provoked by the unexpected kick. He got himself up, feeling slumped and his knees hit the floor. He checked his condition.

Charon is healing? Damion sees his health go up by 30 instantly. He sees his health percentage below where he took almost ten percent. Being an ordinary human soldier, he hit his head violently. Faced back at the Lepritida and the lot, Charon laid flat with his knees up. He slowly gets himself up from the grass. Damion turned behind him revealing a mini puddle of blood. Fingers on his right temple, he lurched his fingers away after feeling a burning zap. Blood on his fingers immediately evaporates.

Damion got up and went up to Charon, “You alright?”

“I’m good.”

“You survived the two minutes. Feel anything different?” Damion brought his hand out. Charon grabs his hand, and Damion lifts him from the grass. “Maybe. My insides are boiling.”

Sniff Sniff.

“What the hell is that burning smell?” Damion’s nose picked up a strong burning smell similar to what was directly near the fire. The acrid odor moved to his mouth, involuntarily leading him to cough multiple times. “Water? Please!” He demanded water, and Charon brought back a bucket. Damion seized it and took a couple of gulps into his mouth before using half of the water poured all over his face. “Here. The rest of the water is yours. Rehydrate yourself.” He passed the bucket.

As Charon grabs the handle of the bucket, Damion doesn't let go of his grip. “Damion, what’s wrong?” He saw his eyes staring at him. Then points at him. What? Charon looks around him and quickly sees water gushing out of his shoulders. In the water, he can see visible sparkles emitting within. “What’s happening to me? Why is water coming out of my shoulders?!”

Damion lets go of the bucket. He recalled Charon when he took the blast to his chest. “I’m in absolute shock. I didn’t think an energy blast would break the barrier. Has to be a coincidence.”

“Seriously!! What is happening to me?!” He gasps in shock as everywhere on his body is gushing out water.

“Relax, Charon. Get over here.” Damion pointed to the pathway, telling him to cross over it and stand on a separate lawn.

Charon walked over, nearly tripped himself, and then stood over the other lawn.

“After seeing you walking, I can confirm you have received some uncontrolled powers. You are not an Ordinary Human anymore.” Damion stated.

“Can you figure something out?!”

“Hold on. You will be fine!” Damion briefly thought until one surged in his head. “Ah. I get it now. HELLBRINGER”

He picked up his sword from the ground, scorched his blade, and let the flames spread to his body. “You ready?” He looks carefully at the places where the water is gushing out of Charon’s body. Well, this isn’t complicated.

“No!” Charon spun his head.

Damion pins his sword shallowly underground, and with his right arm tight on the hilt, he ignites by sending a few traces of heat into the dirt before thrusting his flaming sword outwards. The second pile of dirt reached midair, Damion swung his sword upward, unleashing a new attack. A wave of flames resembling a flowing river erupted from his blade, striking the dirt and generating rock fragments. “GET DOWN!”

Charon quickly laid down on the floor and felt water overflowing his back. Sounds of water flow are suddenly overwhelmed by the sizzling roar for a couple of seconds. The sizzling roar abruptly stopped. Should I get up? He thought momentarily until he heard his voice. He lifted his head above the ground and saw the land around him had disintegrated, leaving dirt.

“What the hell was that for?!” He pushed Damion as he walked up to him.

“Dude. If I hadn't done that, you still be a running faucet.” Damion yelled at him and pointed at him. “Get a hold of yourself and check. You dried up.”

Charon, bewildered, looks around him, and the water is gone. His whole outfit was all dried up. “Water is gone.”

Damion shakes his head, “You don’t get it huh? Remember, you splash a bucket of water on me. The vapors dissipate. Well, I was fire, and you are water. So figured, I need to suppress your water by igniting a fire at such a quantity to stabilize it.”

Damion turns around and witnesses all the hoplites crowded in one area gazing at him and Charon. “If you see anything, that’s your answer.” He glimpsed behind the crowd enough to where he saw Thaeda and Queen Isaella on the balcony, partially clothed. Their facial expressions are not in horror but more of as long as nothing catastrophic happens they are fine with it. Two saw Damion looking at them, and they hastily looked away and headed back inside.

He shook his head, grinned briefly, and refocused on the hoplites. “Anyways, that is my goal. To give you a power of mass destruction, you will never fear such simple attacks once you reach that state.”

“How do we start?” one of the hoplites asked.

“We are gonna do basic stuff first.”

All the hoplites feel discouraged.

“Alright, now that is not okay. Not that attitude when you are fighting. I’m your new trainer, so I need to know where your capabilities are and put you in categories.”

The sun rose from the horizon, and the hoplites went to their camps, prepping for the first training session. As Damion stood waiting, he was approached by Thaeda and Queen Isaella. “You were watching earlier, did you?”

“Yes, we did. So we all eventually have something like that?” Thaeda questions as she can’t fathom the view she and the Queen saw earlier.

“Yea, depending on how the individual grasps it. There are many possibilities of what could result. We have to prepare for it."

Queen Isaella grabbed Thaeda’s arm and went directly beside Damion, nudging his shoulder, “We can’t tell anyone what happened. Me and Thaeda have promised to keep the secret.”

“I can promise that. Unfortunately, though, you reminded me of that moment as I subconsciously forgot it. Thanks a lot for that.” Damion frowned. "Anyways, if you are ready to train, then go."
