As the first light of dawn broke over the horizon, Reese and Chloe arrived back at Barreto's Resort. The events of the night weighed heavily on their minds, but the sight of the resort, with its familiar, serene surroundings, offered a momentary respite from the chaos.
Reese and Chloe walked in silence towards the main house, where Dwight, Jasper, Alex, and his parents waited anxiously. As they entered, the room fell silent, all eyes turning to them.
"Chloe!" Jasper exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace his sister. "Thank God you're safe."
Chloe hugged her brother tightly, tears of relief streaming down her face. "It was all Reese," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "He saved me."
Reese gave a small, humble nod, acknowledging Chloe's words.
Alex's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barreto, stepped forward with concern etched on their faces. Mrs. Barreto gently placed a hand on Chloe's shoulder. "Chloe, you must be exhausted after everything you've been through," she said kindly. "Come, let us take you to our mini house so you can rest properly."
Chloe hesitated, glancing at Reese. She didn't want to leave him after everything that had happened, but she also knew she was physically and emotionally drained. Seeing the concern in Mrs. Barreto's eyes and feeling the weariness in her own body, Chloe nodded reluctantly. "Alright," she agreed softly.
Mr. Barreto gave a reassuring smile. "You need to regain your strength, Chloe. We'll make sure you have everything you need to rest and recover."
Chloe had no choice but to agree, and she allowed Alex's parents to lead her to their mini house. As they walked away, Mrs. Barreto spoke gently to Chloe, offering words of comfort and assurance. "You're safe now, dear. Take your time to rest. We'll take care of everything."
Reese watched them go, a sense of relief washing over him, knowing Chloe was in good hands. He turned back to Dwight, Jasper, and Alex, who were waiting expectantly. Dwight, still recovering from his injuries but visibly better, looked at Reese with admiration. "What happened out there?" he asked. "How did you manage to save Chloe?"
Reese's eyes lit up with enthusiasm as he began to recount the night's events. "Oh man, you won't believe it! So, they tied me up and tried to torture me. They whipped me, burned me, even used electric shocks, but it didn't even hurt! Not a scratch! Then they got this super sharp knife and tried to slice my skin, but it was like trying to cut steel. And you know what? They even shot me in the head! But the bullets just bounced off. It was insane!"
Dwight and Jasper exchanged bewildered glances, while Alex remained silent, his expression inscrutable. Reese continued, his excitement palpable. "Then, I laughed at them! Can you imagine? They were so freaked out. I told Mr. Fernandez that if he didn't want me to crush him and his men, he had to follow me. And guess what? He agreed! I made him tie up all his own men and then knocked them all out with my soul power. It was epic!"
The room fell silent for a moment as Dwight and Jasper tried to process what they had just heard. They didn't know whether to laugh or take Reese seriously. Dwight opened his mouth, closed it, and then opened it again, looking for the right words. "Uh, Reese, are you... are you serious?" he finally asked, his voice filled with doubt and a hint of amusement.
Jasper rubbed his temples, trying to wrap his head around the story. "So, you're telling us they tortured you, shot you, and you didn't get hurt? And now Mr. Fernandez is your follower?" he said, his tone skeptical.
Reese grinned widely. "I know it sounds crazy, but it's true! I guess you could say I'm kind of invincible now."
The three of them exchanged looks again, this time with a mixture of incredulity and reluctant acceptance. They didn't want to believe it, but Reese's enthusiasm and the serious look in his eyes made it hard to dismiss entirely.
Dwight finally broke the silence with a chuckle. "Well, if you say so, Reese. It's not like we can prove you wrong, can we?"
Jasper shook his head, a smile tugging at his lips. "I guess we'll just have to take your word for it. But man, you've got some wild stories."
Alex remained silent, not knowing how to react, but he didn't question Reese further.
The group shared a laugh, the tension easing slightly. Despite their skepticism, they were grateful to have Chloe back and relieved to see Reese in good spirits.
Jasper clapped a hand on Reese's shoulder. "Regardless of how it happened, you saved my sister, and for that, I'm forever grateful."

Reese shrugged modestly. "It was nothing. It's my job."
Dwight nodded with a smile on his face. "Alright, let's end this conversation and get some rest. Chloe is safe, and we all need to recharge."
Reese nodded in agreement. "Alright, see you all later." He turned to Dwight. "Let's go."
Dwight and Reese walked a short distance away, discussing some random stuff in a more relaxed manner, towards their cottage. After a while, Reese decided to close his eyes; even though he wasn't tired, he just wanted to pass the time faster.
-----
Reese woke up around 1 p.m., the sun high in the sky. He stretched and noticed a plate of food on the table. His stomach growled as he smelled the aroma of the food, reminding him that he hadn't eaten since last night. He took a bite, savoring the simple yet satisfying meal.
After finishing his food, Reese decided to look for Alex. As he walked around the resort, he spotted Alex, Jasper, Dwight, and Chloe sitting together, chatting quietly.
"Hey, Reese," Jasper said with a smile. "How are you feeling?"
"Much better after some sleep and food," Reese replied. He glanced at Alex, who was sitting silently, looking a bit uneasy.
Chloe gave Reese a grateful smile. "Thanks again for everything, Reese. I can't express how much it means to me."
Reese nodded. "I'm just glad you're safe, Chloe." He then turned to Alex. "Alex, I need you to drive me somewhere."
Alex's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of fear crossing his face. He remembered Reese's intense confrontation the previous night and was worried Reese might still suspect him. "Uh, sure, Reese. Where do you need to go?" he asked cautiously.
"Don't worry," Reese said, sensing Alex's apprehension. "I just need to check on a few things, and I need a ride."
Alex nodded, trying to hide his nervousness. "Okay, I'll get the car ready."
As Alex walked towards the car, Reese turned Dwight. "We'll be back soon. Stay alert and keep an eye out for anything unusual."
Dwight nodded, his expression serious. "Be careful, Reese," Dwight said.
Reese gave them a reassuring smile. "I will. See you all soon."
Reese and Alex got into the car, and as they drove off, Reese glanced at Alex. "Relax, Alex. I'm not going to hurt you. I just need you to call Luke and ask for his father's number."
Alex nodded, still a bit uneasy but determined to help. He pulled out his phone and dialed Luke's number. The phone rang a few times before Luke picked it up.
"Alex, what is it?" Luke asked.
"Hey, Luke. I need to get your dad's number. It's really important," Alex said, trying to keep his voice steady.
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line. "Why do you need my dad's number, Alex?" Luke asked, suspicion creeping into his voice.
"Just give me his number; it's urgent, Luke. I need to talk to him," Alex insisted.
"I'm sorry, Alex, but I can't give you his number. My dad wouldn't like that," Luke replied firmly.
"Luke, please. It's really important," Alex repeated, his voice tinged with desperation.
But Luke remained unmoved. "I can't do that, Alex. I'm hanging up now."
With that, the call ended. Alex stared at his phone, frustration evident on his face.
Reese, who heard everything about their conversation, just sighed and said, "Alright, we'll figure something else out. Let's keep moving."
-----
Meanwhile, Luke sat in his room, phone in hand, feeling confused and uneasy. He couldn't understand why Alex needed his father's number so urgently. Something didn't add up. His mind wandered to the events of the previous night. His father and some of Councilor Villanueva's men had gone out, but they hadn't returned.
Concern gnawed at Luke. "Could something have happened to Dad?" he wondered aloud. The thought sent a shiver down his spine.
Unable to shake the feeling, Luke decided to call his father. He dialed the number and waited anxiously as the phone rang. It seemed like an eternity before his father finally answered.
"What is it, Luke?" Mr. Fernandez's voice came through, impatient and slightly irritated.
"Dad, it's me. I was just worried. You didn't come back last night," Luke said, his voice filled with relief at hearing his father's voice.
Mr. Fernandez sighed. "I'm fine, Luke. Is that why you called?"
"Well, no. Alex called me earlier and asked for your number. He said it was important, but I didn't give it to him," Luke explained.
There was a pause on the other end of the line, then Mr. Fernandez's tone shifted. "Give me Alex's number, Luke. It's probably something to do with Reese."
Puzzled, Luke didn't question it further. "Okay, Dad. Here it is," he said, rattling off Alex's number.
"Thanks, Luke. Stay out of trouble," Mr. Fernandez said before hanging up.
Luke sat back, feeling a mixture of relief and confusion.
-----
Back in the car, Alex's phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen and saw an unknown number. Hesitating for a moment, he answered the call. "Hello? Who's this?"
"It's me," Mr. Fernandez's voice came through, sounding more curious than impatient.
Reese, hearing the voice, immediately signaled to Alex to hand over the phone. "Give me the phone," he said.
Alex complied, passing the phone to Reese. "Fernandez, it's Reese. Are you still at the warehouse?" Reese asked directly.
"Yes, I'm still here," Mr. Fernandez confirmed.
"Good. We're on our way there now," Reese said firmly, then hung up the phone and handed it back to Alex. "Follow my directions. We need to get to the warehouse."
-----
On the other side, Mr. Fernandez slipped his phone back into his pocket and turned to face the fifteen men he had bound. They glared at him with venomous eyes, and the leader among them sneered, "You think you're tough betraying us and following some kid? You're nothing but a coward." He paused, then added with a mocking tone, "Submitting to a boy who isn't even in his twenties yet? Pathetic."
Mr. Fernandez regarded the leader calmly. "After witnessing the kid's abilities last night, you still have the guts to say this? You should be very careful of what you say when he arrives later."
The leader's face twisted with anger, but his bravado faded as fear crept in. The other men paled; their earlier defiance was replaced by dread at the mention of the monstrous kid who had overpowered them was coming back.
