Volume 2 Chapter 1: Big Day, Small Clients, Part 2: Yamiso's Perspective

"This is UNACCEPTABLE, you old fart!!" I yell at Hisao, brushing away the smoke from his cigarette.

I don't care if he's in his 70's, or if he's the God damn Keisetsu headmaster! This is serious! How someone as irresponsible as him can be leader is still beyond me! How can someone be so carefree during a time like this!?

"How come she hasn't been found yet!?"

Katsumi attempts to interfere, but seeing how fucking angry I am, he quickly backs down. I can feel my rage boiling within me!

"If the people of El Escudo find anything, they promised they would inform us as soon as possible." Hisao says calmly.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"Don't give me that shit! Forget those El Escudo assholes! Mydrea is one of us! Shouldn't we be the fucking ones looking for her!?"

Hisao continues to just look at me.

"BASTARD!!!"

(Darkness Drive: Devil's Claw!!!)

As soon as my claw develops around my right arm, I throw a punch at Hisao.

Just to have it burned away instantly by the black flames Hisao shoots from his mouth, as if blowing smoke from one of his shitty cigarettes.

"AAAAAAAA!!!!!" I yell, recoiling in pain. I stop to recollect regroup and endure the pain. I know that he wasn't even trying, but his power is still enough to injure a Darkness tone like me.

"How?...How can you just sit around like this? She's your granddaughter, and you just sit on your ass doing nothing!"

Hisao stays silent. However, at this moment, I realize that both Hisao and Katsumi seem quite tired, with bags under their eyes.

(So...guess they aren't the douchebags I thought they were.)

I've been in the Keisetsu for a few years now. Almost as long as Mydrea herself. Yet I still cannot figure out what goes on in her grandfather's head.

Kon. Kon.

"It's open." Hisao cheerfully proclaims, changing from his previously calm demeanor.
