Chapter 3- Bored as Hell, Even Though Real Hell is Actually Rather Fun.

Bored. So bored. I bet I’d made a fortune if I figured a way to bottle up my boredom and sell it. References aside, I’m extremely bored. I have had nothing to do for…?

{Answer: 13 years, 3 months, 12 days, 16 hours, 33 minutes and 51 seconds.}

13 years. Right. That long. I could hardly stand it. Thankfully, I managed to understand my position as the supreme ruler of this planet. I could control any and all types of qi, including arcane power, which is the most versatile and profound variation of qi. Actually, qi began as arcane power, which was inherited from Primalcore, the creator of Primal’s daoist name. Yes, daoist names1 are a thing here.

Well, I did have fun the first seven years, as I had reincarnated around the time there was a World War on Nephila. It was amazing, and no, not in the way that I took joy in watching people making war (And a bloody one at that), I was a bit uneasy with that at first, but I got over that. It was amazing in the way of the use of magic. Magic is amazing, except for the fact that I couldn’t fully enjoy the amazingness of magic with bodies constantly flying across my vision.

Yeah, no, I’m still not used to that. If there was something like a game system-

{YOU CALLED?!}

No.

{Affirmative, resuming previous functions.}

Anyways, if there was such a thing, I probably would’ve gotten the skill, [Emotionally Detached], or [Emotionless], something like that. I must say, I’m confident in my poker face skills as well. Speaking of which, still don’t have a body. I can’t figure out how to make one. But I have made other things. Like those treasures you see in wuxia/xianxia novels. Because of the treasures that I made, a new ranking… system ({YOU CALLED?!}No! Go away, I’m busy. {Affirmative, resuming previous functions.})… was made to judge treasures. It doesn't really have any significance to me, but it did make feel a bit proud, knowing that these cultivators cared about these new treasures enough to change what they already have.

But this isn't really an accomplishment as I get stuck with the planet that has the least chance of immortals, A.K.A the weakest planet. What did I expect? ‘God’ himself said that it would be the place where I could be sealed the longest. Well, if that’s the case, this is probably the planet they would summon heroes to, like those in Japanese novels. No, I’m not joking. Planets, universes and sometimes even bridgeworlds will summon heroes if their fighting strength drops low enough, or they need people with talent to prepare for ascension (Bridgeworlds only).

Heroes, as is in accordance with the ancient laws, they are blessed with great and rare talent in multiple fields. This, of course, happens as the summoned are en route to their new planet. They compound with already held talents, sometimes giving insane talent that makes even me, with no need for such things, jealous.

Another interesting fact. Summoned people, monsters, demons, and familiars can only be summoned from the Primal Void. This is because of the nature of the summoning spell. A summoning spell is meant to steal an inhabitant from their universe. Summoning spells for heroes require massive amounts of qi, which means that it can’t be used efficiently with the amount of people required for a spell of that scale. To make this spell have an effect, the people involved subconsciously force their spell into the place with the loosest space. The Primal Void is the first target. Universes in the Primal Void have their space damaged, and it loosens for many trillions of years. During this time, summoners can summon things from these universes easily.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Surprisingly, my previous universe is the prime target for hero summons. The reason being that the qi there is unique, and affect its inhabitants. The qi produced by my previous universe stayed dormant until exposed to outside forces. That is what cultivating talent is for us, dormant qi being unleashed. The hero summoning spell will seek out those with lots of qi on the Primal Void and… well, I think you can make the connection.

However, I don't plan to ever seek out these people if I ever get a body. Wanna know why? Because they are all really pathetic. Despite the fact they came to a cultivation world, where bloody battles are often fought, they are still hanging onto the old values of Earth. How does that happen? I mean, some of these guys have to have read wuxia/xianxia novels, where they say, directly even, that cultivators are meant to fight in bloody battles and kill others to refine techniques. Hell, the summoning spells even managed to pick out the people that almost perfectly define the words 'cliche summoned hero'.

How do you do that? The almost same personality every summon! DO YOU HAVE TO DO THAT?! WHY AM I ANGRY?! Seriously summoners, do you summon heros that are of the smae bloodline? You have to to get people that similar in nature. Is the summoning spell rigged? Why else would they be so similar? No, they ha-

{Rambling is unnecessary, you cannot effect the summoning spells from your current position.}

Don't you start stuff system!

{No promises.}

I think I blew off enough steam now.

----------------------------------------

Bored again. So goddamn bored. What the hell ‘God’ couldn’t you have given me something better to do in the time I am here? You should’ve given the system some games to entertain me!

{The system was not given games as it would be assumed that all users would be able to cultivate, move freely and have adequate knowledge to provide themselves with entertainment on their own.}

Of course, what did I think, it makes sense. Why would someone who can’t cultivate and can be omniscient on just this planet be able to access the system?

{Because, to put it simply, you done fucked up and so did God.}

Thanks, real helpful. Guess I’ll just have to wait until I figure out how to make myself a body. Despite the many times I attempted to make a body, I still ended up failing miserably. Either nothing happened, or a big explosion happened. The latter, however, only happened once. Nearly started another war because of that.

Oh?

Talk about timing. Someone is gathering qi enough to solidify it, and right after my talk of a new body. This is a good chance to try and make myself a body. Woohoo! 13 years of sitting on my ass watching the grass grow has finally come to an end! Goodbye boring life, hello new body!

… Wait, that sound familiar for some reason. Why is that?

1(A\N: For those of you who are uninformed, daoist names are things like: Waterwind, Thousand Saber, and Sevensuns. These are things in Chinese wuxia/xianxia novels. I wanted to put them in because I thought it would be a fun idea.)

(A\N: The long-awaited new body is becoming reality. I’m sure you guys were waiting for this moment, seeing as how all I did was world-building and info dumps with barely any plot movement. Oh well, look forward to the next chapter!)
