Darkness. That’s one of the last things and one of the few things that I will never forget. The experience of death is quite frightening, yet there’s some unexplainable peace to it. The sensation of being dragged down against your will. Not being able to breathe, wait no, not wanting to breathe. The fear of taking that last breath and the knowing that it’s all over. Watching as you see the sky growing ever so far out of your reach. With the darkness wrapping around you, how can I describe it other than. It’s Overwhelming. The cold icy fingers of death wrapping around, gripping at my soul. Then the sudden warmth, the peace of knowing that you don’t have to endure anymore. This is how I drowned. This is how I Died. The Pitch Black Darkness.
