Sounds came slowly into focus as consciousness decided it was time for attention. The first thing that was noticed was a weird thing being shoved into notice.

It was an odd thing. The knowledge of whatever this meant was known but was given oddly. Who would think that some weird lines could mean that. It did not take long as an ‘identification’ already seemed to be a perfect fit.

Yuxil has been accepted as a name, information pertaining to use of this system has been added.

I was happy that the name was accepted, whatever that meant. After that was done an innate understanding of being able to bring up the system and other processes where soon understood by me as well.

Trying to look around I noticed that directly around me was a dark covering of some sort. I did not see anything wrong with that so I focused downward and was pleased by the look of the healthy look and feel of my foundation. Seeing nothing wrong I looked farther.

Directly around myself was an open field of some sort with some nice lush grass. Some distance from me in all directions seemed to be a boundary of trees. The trees were teeming with life from what I could notice, with small things that had soft grass looking substance seeming to come out of every available surface moving up and around tree branches. It seemed to be ill with all its grass being shades of brown or grey but they moved fine so maybe not too bad off although it looked unkempt and needing to be cleaned. Even more life was scurrying around in the grass with the same odd non-grass grass coverings but a stem like protrusion trailing it instead of a large buildup, like the first. While I was looking I saw many small life on and in the tree boundary.

I looking at all this, I did nothing for some time. It was peaceful and made me happy seeing all the life. Eventually I saw movement higher in the trees. Looking up I then see some type of large leaved life with the same dull colouring. It was odd to see life that was not connected to the ground. So odd that it took even more time than before for me to look past these odd sky using being to see the sky only doing so because the darkness it had been was receding.

The sky was marvelous, it being an endless plain of blue broken only by a couple tufts of grey coloured clouds. It was a deep blue almost enough to think I could fall into, with the cloud coverage leading me to think it would not rain soon but not to far off. The view of the sky was only matched by the sun, which was well over the tops of the trees. The rays of sunshine that splashed against my covering made me feel alive and ready to live to my fullest.

It was not long before I removed my attention from the sky, even if it was glorious. Looking around I saw that within the glade I was within there was an odd mound not too far from myself. This was only notable because everything else was as flat as a grass field could be. I was sated with seeing around my and happy with the results.

I could live and grow here with little worry. I decided to focus on this system information next.

This was very interesting as it gave me plenty of things to do. I was most interested in my age. Why was I so much older than I was able to remember? It took some time looking around to realize that it was from ‘Growth’. I had been unconscious until my growth reduction was below my mana regeneration. I would likely become so again if it happened again. It did not seen bad to be able to rest and recover.

It was getting dark again and my mana had recovered another 3 points by the time I was done thinking this through. I decided to look into some of the other things the system screen showed. I tried to think through how these attributes worked but by the time the moon was over me I still could not find out how so I just moved on.

One of the most interesting areas on this was these ‘abilities’. With some concentration I was able to focus around myself in a small area by some type of perception, probably through mana. It was so small that I was only able to find the first couple blades of grass in all directions. A problem I found right away was I was only able to focus on a specific place within the territory but I could perceive the entire area. Using it for a bit longer it was obvious that this was only meant to be used for observing around myself.

By the time I stopped seeing what Territory could do the sun was visible above the trees again. My next action was not all that well thought out. Trying out my next skill was not what I had expected.
