chapter 4 - Hospitalized
Shi Song woke up in a slick, clean room. He looked around, and saw the walls and floor and ceiling were all of the same creamy white colour. The smell of detergent was apparent.
"Hospital." Shi Song mumbled to himself. He had been here way too many times as a child and could recognise the place right away.
As Shi Song tried to get up, that splitting headache acted up again, causing Shi Song to immediately fall back onto the hospital bed. However, since he had experienced this incredible pain before, he did not faint like the previous time.
"Empty..." Shi Song mumbled as he realized that there was a feeling that something was missing inside his mind. It was as if his head was hollow, and he could not feel anything inside his head. This kind of feeling was very uncomfortable and it made Shi Song wish that he actually fainted.
The door to the hospital room opened and Shi Song's father, Shi Wei, walked in.
"Father, how did you find me?" Shi Song inquired. All he could remember before he fainted was that he went to Silversnow mountain and had started climbing up for about 30 minutes before everything went dark.
"You did not come home even though it was late at night, so I went to Silversnow mountain to search for you." Shi Song's father explained. He told Shi Song about how he found Shi Song unconscious at the bottom of the mountain, with a water bottle containing a fish in it and decided to bring it along when he carried Shi Song to the Hospital.
"How are you feeling now? Do you feel unwell?" Shi Song could sense the worry and concern in his Father's voice. He had a feeling that, perhaps in the entire world, only his Father truly cared about him, allowing his will and determination for wanting to improve his Father's life getting strengthened.
"Don't worry, I feel much better now. Wait, How long have I been unconscious for?"
"3 days." Shi Wei replied.
Upon hearing that, Shi Song almost fainted again. 1 night in the hospital would cost 1500 yuan, which is the form of currency used in the Qiya Empire, even in the cheapest room and after all the subsidies. 3 nights would cost 4500 yuan! Shi Song's father only earned 300 yuan a month, which barely allowed his family to eat , sleep and drink properly! How long would it take for Shi Song's father to completely pay the 4500 yuan!

Shi Song also felt that it was quite suprising that the hospital actually allowed him and his father in, considering that the colour they are of is widely discriminated against.
...
Although Shi Song wanted to get out of the hospital as quickly as possible to avoid more fees being charged onto him, he still had to solve and get rid of this uncomfortable, empty feeling in his head. Shi Song knew that this was somehow connected to what he did before he fainted.
Thinking back to what he had done before he fainted, Shi Song remembered the yellowish-white Yinjin energy he found in his body and how he tried to find the source if the Yinjin energy. However, before he could find out what the source was, he suddenly felt a splitting pain in his head, causing him to be unable to use his Spiritual Sense.(Changing Soul's Sense to Spritual Sense)
"That's right! I seem to have overexerted this Spiritual Sense when trying to explore my body, which is why I now have this empty feeling in my head!" Shi Song exclaimed.
"Now how do I replenish this Spiritual Sense?" Shi Song wondered. Sleep? Maybe. Exercise? Probably not...
"Shi Song, I bought you some breakfast and a cup of coffee. Eat up." Shi wei opened the hospital door and walked into the room.
"Coffee?" Shi Song pondered. Inhaling the aroma of the fresh cup of coffee, Shi Song felt that it might perhaps work. Takinh a small sip of coffee, he felt an invinsible yet warm and comfortable strand of energy flowing into his empty head, filling up his mind. It was wonderfully nourishing, and the more of it that he drank, the weaker the feeling of emptiness in his mind.
"Now that I am more or less ready to go, I should wait for a while more before trying to get discharged. What a pity, all this couod have happened at home and we wouldn't need to pay this scam..." Shi Song thought. Although he was ready to go, he wanted to 'rest' a while more so that it would not seem suspicious.
...
Night, the blazing Solar Sun has sunk beyong the horizons. Shi Song proved to his Father that he was now alright after a good long 'rest'. Settling the hospital fees and charges and asking for an installment to pay 200 yuan a month. After drying hid savings, Shi Wei only had to pay 2000 yuan left, which is to be paid over 10 months.
On the way home, Shi Song found out that the 3 day coma he was in actually strengthened his body again, though not as much as when he was on Silversnow mountain. The moment Shi Song left the hospital, he immediately knew why it was so expensive and charged 1500 yuan for every night. It was because that Heaven and Earth energy was denser inside the hospital than the surrounding areas!
"This special type of energy has to be related to the Yellowish-white energy I found in my body" Shi Song pondered. Although he knew that these 2 types of energies existed he still does not know the names of these energies! The denser Heaven and Earth energy, the larger the amount of Yinjin energy converted.
Deciding not to try to find the source of the Yinjin yellowish-white energy, Shi Song quickly followed Shi Wei back to their house.
Perhaps with his strengthened 5 senses and the Yinjin energy strengthening his body, Shi Song would be able to find out the secrets of why his mother, Li biyu, disappeared. More importantly, the mysteries in his house he has never discovered before...
