Shi Song continued up Silversnow mountain, discovering and experimenting the new, yet special changes in his body. He realized that he had much more awareness and control over his body. It was like his mind was spread throughout every nook and cranny, as if his soul was dispersed in his blood.
"The feeling of control is simply wonderful and mysterious. " Shi Song thought.
Suddenly, Shi Song stopped in his tracks.
"I have never seemed to notice this change before, but it seems that when I hike up Silversnow mountain, I seem to have more energy and feel much stronger and energetic than before I started? There seems to be some sort of outside source which is giving me more energy.".
Indeed, Shi Song was right. Due to his strengthened senses, he could now tell that there was a peculiar, yet powerful type of energy getting absorbed by his body.
In the path of cultivation, the 6th sense is also referred to as the seed, for only when the seed has sprouted and the 6th sense developed would one truly have embarked on the path of cultivation. Although Shi Song could not completely awaken and develop his 6th sense and his soul could not transcend that fine line between Mortal and Cultivator, his body's constitution still changed drastically, allowing it to automatically but passively absorb this peculiar and powerful energy.
The 6th sense, the starting point for the path of cultivation, allows one to sense and control the natural energy of the Heavens and Earth. Due to Silversnow mountain being a battleground remnant between the cultivator ancestors, the energy of the Heavens and Earth still lingers in the area. Although it is faint, it is far thicker and denser than the areas normally inhabited by humans.
All of these factors allowed Shi song's body to be able to absorb the leftover Heaven and Earth energy on Silversnow mountain. The Heaven and Earth energy when absorbed by the body, would be converted into a special form of energy that can be used to transform and strengthen the body. This special strengthening energy is called the Yinjin energy.
All living beings contain a small amount of Yinjin energy. This is because when the fetus is developing, a small amount of Yinjin energy will enter the fetus, allowing it to be strengthened. As the living being ages, the Yinjin energy will slowly be used up, including both beasts and humans. This was why the younger generation had far more energy than the older generation!

As Shi Song realized that his body was getting stronger, he had the sudden impulse to focus all his attention in his bloodstream. Following his natural instincts, Shi Song directed his attention - his mind's natural sense which is also known as the soul's sense, into his bloodstream. He did not know how he managed to do it, but now, it felt as if he was part of the bloodstream, as if he was a red blood cell. There, he discovered what the mysterious and powerful energy was. There was a yellowish-white, gas-like substance coursing through his veins. Some of it exited out of the bloodstream into his body, getting rapidly absorbed by his starving cells.
Shi song was amazed by what he found. This yellowish-white gas in his blood was actually that peculiar yet powerful energy strengthening his body. Although this yellowish-white gas looked plain and meagre, it was indeed the energy allowing for Shi Song's body strength to improve by leaps and bounds and his constitution to change drastically.
"Perhaps this was how the ancestors cultivated in the past?" Shi Song wondered. Shi Song's guess was extremely close to being correct. In the cultivation era, the ancestors would use this Yinjin energy to train their bodies, as the Yinjin energy allows for the reformation and strengthening of their body cells. The only thing different would be that the ancestors could control and actively absorb the Heaven and Earth energy to convert it, but Shi Song could only passively absorb the Heaven and Earth energy as he has yet to even awaken his 6th sense, so why would he be able to even actively absorb the Heaven and Earth energy on his own will, much less control the Heaven and Earth energy, birthed from the Heavens and the Cosmos?
Shi Song controlled his Soul's sense and followed up the stream of Yinjin yellowish-white energy. He wanted to find the source of this energy, or how it enters the body and how it is converted. All that Shi Song currently knew was that this Yinjin energy was actually converted from another type of energy as he could not sense this yellowish-white energy anywhere else.
As Shi Song's Soul's sense slowly approached the source, he realized that the Yinjin energy was getting thicker and denser. Just as the Yinjin energy's density skyrocketed and his Soul's sense was about to reach the source of Yinjin energy, he suddenly felt an excruciating, sharp, ringing pain in his head. He felt like there was a sword stabbing into the sides of his head from the inside, along with bells ringing so loudly, they were causing the surrounding flesh to throb.
"Shi Song's vision disappeared and was soon replaced by total darkness, as he lost any feeling and connection with reality.
His body rolled down the mountain, with a water bottle containing a fish rolling along.
