Prologue: Hallelujah

On one snowy night in late 2018, a boy with dark-blue hair and green eyes steps along a sidewalk on his way home with a nearly perfect report card in hand.

Nasa: (This'll get me in for sure! First, college. Then, NASA. Then, the moon! Gonna bring home some rocks for you to polish off, dad!)

Nasa puts away the report card with a smile on his face. Suddenly, a cracking sound comes from across the street. Nasa looks over to see a girl sipping on coffee in a can. She has long, red hair and red eyes.

Nasa: (… My gosh. That woman...)

He matches his walk speed with hers as his eyes remain glued on her.

Nasa: (She's an angel... I have to ask her out, but would she go out with a guy like me? Ah! Who cares?! Can't know unless you try!) Hey!

The girl turns to him as he starts walking across the street.

Tenshi: NO!!!

She drops her can and sprints towards Nasa as he looks towards the sound of screeching tires on his right side. He freezes in the headlights of a truck and the girl jumps after him, but not in time. As her arm covers him, the truck slams against it and Nasa's head while it comes to a stop.

Tenshi: Ah Hah!! Agh!

Nasa lays on his back as blood spills from his skull. He slowly breathes with his eyes wide open as the girl grabs his shoulder and looks at him.

Nasa: (This is how I die. Just a mistake. All that life. All that work. Just a stupid mistake)

Tenshi: A-Are you okay?

Nasa: I... I-

The truck driver leaves his vehicle.

Untenshu: Holy Crap! Don't worry! I'm calling 119!

As the driver pulls out his phone and calls the number, the girl gets up.

Tenshi: N-No. I have t... I have to get home!

She runs away while holding her left arm.

Untenshu: Hey! Wait!

Nasa stares at her with the moon in the distance.

Nasa: (She's going to be my Kaguya... No. I can't let that happen!) Stop!

With all his strength, Nasa stands up and dashes after the girl.

Untenshu: Where're You Idiots Going?!

Nasa: (You can do it! You can do it! Now!)

He grabs her right shoulder and turns her around. She looks frightened.

Tenshi: W-What do you want?!

Nasa: My name is Nasa Yuzaki. P-Please go out with me.

Tenshi: … Th-That's why you just risked your life?! For A Stupid Date?!

Nasa: If it's with you, then it's w-worth it.

She closes her eyes tightly for a moment before sharply opening them.

Tenshi: Fine! But, you have to marry me first!

Nasa: (Is she joking? Who Cares?! Accept!) I'll do it. I'll m-marry yyy...

Nasa falls to the ground and passes out. A few days later, he wakes up in a hospital bed with windows at his left side. As he slowly gets up and tries to get his bearings, a nurse walks into the room and notices him.

Kangoshi: Nasa! You're finally awake! How are you feeling?

Nasa: Um. I'm fine.

Kangoshi: Can you tell where you are?

Nasa: I'm in a hospital. I was in an accident, hurt my head, and ended up here.

Kangoshi: Very good. You seem to have a good head on you. Now, there was some blood loss, so you might feel a bit lightheaded for a while. Your head's all healed up, but we'll need to keep you here a while for the concussion. Okay?

Nasa: I understand.

Kangoshi: Good. Now, your parents are waiting for you. Would you like me to send them in?

Nasa: Could you give me half an hour first?

Kangoshi: Of course I can. Is there anything else I can do for you?

Nasa: Y-Yes. Was there a beautiful, red-headed woman out there?

Kangoshi: Is that what you were dreaming about?

Nasa: (She isn't here)… Never-mind. Thank you.

Kangoshi: I'll be back in half an hour.

The nurse leaves the room. Nasa looks to his right to see two bags full of books.

Nasa: (They brought my books here...)

He looks through the windows.

Nasa: (Kaguya. Angel...) Where are you?

He lays on his left side as the sun shines on his face.
