Epilogue: Can You Feel the Sunshine?

Epilogue: Can You Feel the Sunshine?

As Mason flies through the city, Aya calls him on his phone.

Mason: Hey.

Aya: I Need Your Help! Please!

Mason: I'm On It!

He portals into a fancy house and runs around until he finds Aya in the kitchen with a burning oven. He then quickly puts out the fire with ice magic and he turns off the oven and makes it repair itself before turning to her.

Mason: You okay?

She walks up to him and buries her head in his shoulder as she cries and he holds her.

Aya: I feel so Stupid!

Mason: You're not stupid, and you never will be... What happened?

Aya: I-I was trying to make an American casserole for dinner, but I think I used too much grease.

Mason: Did you put grease onto it, or did you let the grease in the ingredients cook out of them?

Aya: … The first one.

Mason: That cooking show told you to do that?

Aya: I might've assumed it.

Mason: Then, you know not to next time, right? You just got a little smarter.

Aya: … Were your other wives this needy?

Mason: Everyone has their insecurities. In my first life, my wife just never believed that she was beautiful, no matter how much I told her. In my second life, she never thought she was good enough for me, and I told her the same thing. In my third life, I lived a thousand years. I got to know a lot of great women, each one having something they just couldn't get passed.

Aya: Did it ruin the relationship?

Mason: Never. It just made us closer, 'cause I'm the exact same way...

She lifts her head up and hugs him back.

Aya: You're not mad I almost burned down the house? I didn't even think of the fire extinguisher.

Mason: I'm just glad you're alright... Why were you baking an American casserole?

Aya: You were an American in your first life, right? I wanted to give you some nostalgia. I wanted to make you happy.

Mason: I was only an American in a dream. I'm more Japanese than American at this point. That said, I bet it would've been tasty. You know how to stimulate a tongue.

She smiles and sweetly kisses him as he strokes her short hair.

Aya: Maybe I can make another one.

Mason stealthily takes off her apron and throws it on the dining table.

Mason: Let's eat out tonight. You don't need anymore stress today.

Aya: … Okay.

The two stare into each-other's eyes deeply and he takes off his mask.

Mason: How long until the kids get home?

Aya: Th-Three hours.

Mason: Hmm. Might not be long enough.

The two smile and kiss as he leads her into another room. Meanwhile, in a moderate house, Nasa types away on his powerful desktop as Tsukasa wraps her arms around him from behind.

Tsu: Dinner's in the oven. Should be ready when Aster gets home.

Nasa: Smells great. So, nothing unusual there.

Tsu: How far long are you?

Nasa: I just have to send these blueprints in... Done.

Tsukasa climbs into Nasa's lap and they hug each-other.

Nasa: What did I do to deserve this?

Tsu: I'm just feeling extra lovey today. *Kiss* So, what do you want to do now? Games? Movies? Manga?

She goes up to his ear and whispers into it:

Tsu: Me?

Nasa lifts her up onto the desk as he french kisses her until she melts in his arms. Meanwhile, Mason holds Aya from behind as they sit in their bath.

Aya: How did you suck me into all that?

Mason: Sorry. Just, when I kiss you, I keep wanting to get closer and closer. It's like I can't get enough of you.

Aya: Oh, I'm not complaining. It all feels nice for me too.

Mason: I can tell.

He kisses her neck and she giggles.

Aya: Let's make it a whole family dinner tonight.

Mason: I assume that means the Yuzakis too?

Aya: Yup! I'm feeling upbeat today.

Mason: (There's a flip from earlier. I love that...)

Aya: Um, we should probably start using protection too.

Mason: (Protection?... I don't remember the last time I used that) Why's that?

Aya: W-Well, I may get pregnant a third time if we're not careful.

Mason: Good. I love being a father, and you make a great mother.

She stares at him with a hopelessly lustful gaze.

Aya: C-Could you repeat that? I lost a little consciousness after you said “Good.”

Mason: I'll repeat anything you want me to.

Aya: Honey...

Mason: Sugar...

He brings their lips tightly together. Meanwhile, Tsukasa rests on Nasa in their bed.

Tsu: You know, you used to get embarrassed at me making offers like that.

Nasa: You used to get embarrassed Making offers like that.

Tsu: How did we get so perverted?

Nasa: Well, for me at least, I remember realizing one day that I could either be shy around you, or love on you the way I want to. I chose love.

She smiles brightly and smooches him.

Tsu: I love you.

Nasa: I love you too. Nothing unusual there either.

Just then, Tsukasa's phone rings and she picks it up.

Tsu: What's up?

Mason: Wanna go out tonight?

The four, and their children, meet in a fancy restaurant in Tokyo that night. Mason and Aya have a boy with light-blue hair and a girl with pure white hair. The boy, Sora, has bright yellow eyes. The girl, Kumo, has dark blue eyes. Nasa and Tsukasa have a girl with red hair and bright blue eyes. Her name is Aster, short for Asterism. It's spelled “星空,” or “Hoshizora.” Somewhere in the restaurant, there's a TV with the news on it.

News: American president Donald J. Trump has survived his seventh assassination attempt as his run as the 47th US president comes close to its end.

Mason subtly turns down the TV from his seat.

Tsu: He should give you a medal for all the times you saved him.

Mason: I'm just glad to keep these psychos at bay. These people don't know what it was like the last time a president was killed. Bad for everyone.

Nasa: We don't want to make the government a gang war.

Aya: A-Anyway, how are things going with you?

Mason: (The woman sitting across from me is the reincarnation of Aria Night, my beloved in several of my lives. When I fell for Aya, I knew that I couldn't be Star-Man around Tsukasa forever. You can't marry an icon. Once she saw my face for the first time, the memories of her past lives came back to her. The memories of me. So, I erased those memories. At the time, Nasa agreed with the decision. However, I can't say if I do...)

Sora: Dad? What's an assassination?

Mason: You know what murder is?

Sora: Hai!

Mason: Assassination is murder for famous people.

Sora: A, wakarimasu.

Kumo: What's a gang war?

Mason: It's like a war but between criminal gangs.

Kumo: A, naruhodo.

Aster: Have You ever been in a gang war?

Mason: No, never.

Nasa: How are things at the company?

Mason: We might hit that eleventh digit this year. Got that hover car engine design done?

Nasa: Done and sent. Should be as perfect as it gets.

Tsu: That'll have Newton spinning in his grave.

Aya: Wasn't there a lawsuit we had to settle?

Mason: It's going nowhere. Some people need to get it through their heads that we're responsible for the safety of the boards we make, not the idiots riding them.

Aster: Ha Ha Ha!

Before long, Kaname walks in and sits at their table as she hums cheerfully.

Kaname: Hey, naughty fellows! I've got some great news!

Aya: Ooo! What is it?!

Kaname: So, you know how I've been looking for the right guy for, like, forever?

Tsu: Yeah!

Aya and Tsukasa lean towards Kaname with excitement.

Kaname: Well, I got a Boyfriend!

The two ladies nearly tackle Kaname with a hug.

Aya: I'm So Proud Of You!!

Tsu: I knew you could do it!

Kaname: And, we kissed too! I totally locked him in!

Aya: Yu Go, Garu!

The men and kids smile at the women. Just then, a man with a gun walks into the restaurant, but only Mason notices him.

Mason: (Looks like a job for Ghost Trick)

Mason sends out an invisible Link that swaps the gun with the last object it picked up, a cherry-sprinkled donut. After a moment, the man leaves the restaurant.

Mason: (Looks like he got a Guilty Conscience) The day sure is beautiful, isn't it?

Nasa: You could say that again.

The two men look around at their families and grow satisfied.
