Prologue

Deon walked into the temple where priests of every god and goddess were gathered in the middle of the marble floor, faces terrified as they should be. The war of the heavens had broken out and might end soon "where is William?" Deon asked

"I haven't seen him in a month," Kalere replied as she walked beside him. A priestess of HIems walked towards him with a sour expression.

“What's the point of this we can’t see into the spirit world unless we have a necromancer”

“None of them came?” Deon asked

“you know them, they never stay in one place for long” some motion caught his eye as in the pound outside a priestess of Lacus she ran towards them out of breath.

“Lacus has fallen,” Deon said horrified. No one moved for a time “curse the archons” a priest of Ignis said eyes on fire from passion

“how? The archons are weaker than the gods. How are they killing them?” Kalere cried no one knew then a shaman of Venari gasped “my magic is gone” he cried and fell to his knees as the hours passed one by one the priests and priestesses lost their magic why!? Why is this happening? Only the big five remained.

Then Malshar shook and Deon fell to the ground cleaning to the windowsill as seven large skylight beams and one small one fell to the ground and exploded one right outside the city after the shaking stopped everyone got to their feet.

“what happened?” Deon tried to levitate than or use skylight, nothing. could the king of the gods have fallen!

Tears ran down his cheeks wiping the tears away running outside and out the city to the what ever fell from the sky there were already farmers gathered around the object it was a woman in mail and clenching a spear all made out of celestial iron

“an archon” Deon said in disbelief

“the gods smote down their enemies” Kalere said spitting on the body

“careful if she isn’t dead nothing on Malshar can stop her” Deon scolded grabbing a pitchfork from a farmer and poking the body she didn’t move an inch “dead” Deon sighed but I counted seven there are still two unaccounted for looking up at the sky incase one would come down to rule over them all.

“What happens to us now, all the gods are dead and are living in an age of mortals” Kalere said Deon just stood there without an answer what would become of them?

“We became farmers and merchants I guess” looking at the stunned expressions no one spoke, what is there to say the pantheon is no more.
