Chapter 6

Nero, ignoring them, stood up intending to return the plate, but before he could even cover half the distance, he heard quick footsteps.

Subconsciously, he glanced back and saw those three again. Realizing this, he continued on his way.

"Nero Adriana, how uncouth you are as a noble," the three said. Nero was once a noble but had been stripped of his status, thanks to some behind-the-scenes people.

Handing over the plate, his direction changed towards the exit. It was then that a hand rested on his shoulder, preventing him from taking a step forward.

Although the hand was gentle and belonged to a girl, the force in it was not insignificant.

Turning his head, Nero's eyes met red eyes.

Long violet hair reaching just below the waist, a black academic uniform with a skirt revealing black stockings over long legs.

They both had the same height, as he continued to observe.

Dina Horny, her name and surname automatically resurfaced in his mind.

She was Nero's long-time acquaintance, they were childhood friends and got along well, but that changed when they entered the academy.

She quickly distanced herself from him, causing additional mental damage to Nero, but it didn't matter to him now. Squinting his eyes and looking at her, he waited to see what the other side, which had provocatively stopped him, wanted.

"Nero Adriana, is it not impolite to ignore those who wish to speak with you? Or have you already lost the dignity of a nobleman?"

Nero wasn't in the mood to argue with anyone, and realizing that the other side was just picking on him, his mood worsened.

"Release Miss Horny."

An emotionless voice came out of him. He had already experienced such things in his past life and responded with fierce resistance, but now he wasn't inclined towards it.

While they stared into each other's eyes, the three who were left behind approached them.

Before the three could speak, Nero repeated his words.

"Release Miss Horny."

The red and blue eyes looked at each other for a while before the owner of the red eyes spoke.

"Apologize first for your disrespect, and then I will let you go."

Upon hearing these words, Nero rolled his eyes and then reached out, grabbing the wrist of the hand on his shoulder. During this action, he noticed a barely noticeable smirk in the red eyes.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Not wanting to show any more respect, his evaluation of this girl went from arrogant to just ordinary scum in his mind.

Holding onto the wrist, he easily removed the hand from his shoulder and, despite the shocked red eyes, continued on his way, speaking at the same time.

"I won't be so lenient next time."

Although he didn't want attention at the moment, he also wouldn't obediently lower his head to avoid trouble.

Watching the figure disappear after exiting the dining hall, Dina was still in shock.

She had just felt immense strength when her wrist was caught; she couldn't even resist.

The other three, seeing that the noble lady was released, didn't pursue any further.

Rubbing her wrist, Dina pondered for a while before leaving the dining hall as well.

...........

The following days for Nero were as usual: classes in the morning, followed by the library and repetition.

And here it was, the weekend. Standing in front of the mirror, he looked under his eye, but there was no trace of a bruise. Unlike his previous life, the bruise disappeared much faster now.

Turning around and approaching the bed, he sat down. There was a rectangular box under the bed. It was a gift from Nero's parents before they passed away. He lifted the box and placed it on the bed, then opened it.

Inside the box, there was black fabric. Moving the fabric aside, a beautiful black sword resembling a katana in its sheath came into view. Pulling it out of the sheath, the blade surface was completely black, while the handle was quite ordinary.

It was a gift given to Nero along with a book before he went on a mission. The book was forcefully taken from his hands, but they left him with the katana.

After placing the katana back into its sheath, he pressed a device attached to his left wrist. A small black circle formed near his hand, and as he brought the katana closer to the circle, it gradually disappeared into darkness.

It was a portable storage device, albeit a cheap one.

He headed towards the exit of the academies. Although the entrance and exit of the academies were somewhat restricted, it was not a problem for students, especially those who had noble status.

Exiting the academies revealed a view of a vast plain. To reach the city center where the guild was located, one had to first board something similar to a train. Only this train utilized magic instead of fuel, as is customary in a fantasy world.

...

The transportation speed was very high, and after a 20-minute ride, he was already in the city center where the guild was situated.

But first, he needed to disguise himself. Before doing so, he headed towards the market. Then, he turned into an inconspicuous corner and activated the acceleration.

As he observed everything slowing down, he proceeded forward, curious to test the limits of the acceleration's duration.

Continuing to walk and observe, he finally discovered a place with clothing and masks.

He quickly took everything and put them on, storing his own clothes. Then, he looked into the mirror next to the shop owner.

The attire resembled that of a thief, with a hood covering his head, almost concealing his eyes. The upper part consisted of black clothing with thin leather armor, while the lower part was also black. Lastly, there was a fabric mask, revealing only a small portion of his face. In the end, it looked quite stylish.

After a few more minutes, a majestic building in a classical European style appeared before his eyes. At the top of the building's center was a coat of arms with a sword in the middle and several other weapons, such as bows and axes, on the sides. Fireballs, lightning, and other attributes surrounded the weapons. It was the largest guild on the continent.

Watching as people entered and exited for missions, Nero entered inside.
