Opening the door, Nero found himself in a small room. This should be enough for a simple warrior.
Upon entering, he approached the window and began to ponder. He wanted to find out if he had the skill he had obtained through the lottery.
However, the meadow was clearly not a suitable place for testing. Others might think that the son of a powerful person had finally gone mad.
He had already confirmed that this world was the world of that game, considering that the characters depicted on the main window had appeared here.
But the skill might not work; maybe he didn't receive it at all. Time manipulation was not a simple task. The simplest action, like stopping time, was already a very powerful skill in any work.
So before embarrassing himself further, he needed to find out if he possessed that skill.
But how to test it? Looking through the window, the remaining picture was already clear. Time was indicated by movement, so if everything worked, it would either stop or at least accelerate.
Looking out the window, Nero finally opened his mouth and performed the simplest action for this.
"Time stop."
...
After waiting for a few seconds, nothing happened. Although disappointed, he had to make sure in a few other ways.
Raising his hand in front of him, he repeated the same words.
"Time stop!"
This time his voice was louder, but still, nothing happened.
Repeating the same actions but shouting different meanings like acceleration and deceleration.
After ten minutes of trying everything that came to mind, he lay on his bed and began to think.
Contemplating this, he wondered how time manipulation was portrayed, for example, in movies, anime, or novels.
In movies or anime, it was portrayed as "slow mo," where everything moved very slowly, except for the character using the trick.
Recalling the scenes he had seen, there were slow-motion movements and special effects everywhere.
He sighed, shook his head, and stood up. Learning magic was much more important to him right now, although it was a pity that he didn't have that skill. But he still had magic.
Thinking about it, he got up from the bed and looked around. He wondered what he could eat before going to the library.
There was a small cupboard near the bed, and from what he remembered, there were a few pieces of bread inside.
After his fall, no one, not even his parents' family, helped him. So he had to work to support himself.
Trying to survive on bread or something cheap, he had become very thin.
There was nothing else, so Nero had to eat what was available.
You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author.
Stretching, he grabbed the handle and pulled it towards himself, looking inside. There lay half a loaf of bread.
Taking the bread and closing the cupboard door, he began to eat.
Although the bread was tasteless, anything would do for a hungry stomach.
Taking a few bites, suddenly a "bang" sounded. Nero didn't understand what it was and subconsciously turned his attention to the source of the sound.
Before his eyes, something incredibly mesmerizing was happening.
The cupboard door had already broken, gradually flying apart, while the cupboard itself was slowly moving backward.
Nero's eyes lit up as he approached and squatted down. The scene before him was very captivating.
The pieces of the door gradually scattered in different directions, but this action was happening very slowly.
It was clearly a time slowdown, recalling his thoughts while lying down.
The last thing he did was remember those moments in slow motion.
A thought came to his mind, and Nero imagined everything freezing. And in an instant, all the pieces hung in the air.
Nero tried to move, and it was very easy for him. As soon as he wanted to stand up and look outside, what had happened made him freeze.
He felt his legs sink slightly into the floor as soon as he exerted a little effort to stand up.
Everything around remained frozen. Nero thought and imagined everything moving very slowly.
As soon as he did that, the floor beneath him gradually cracked.
Repeating his actions, everything finally returned to normal time. For a brief moment, there was a breeze, causing the temperature in the room to drop.
Nero pondered for a while, and it seems that this is not simple. While time slows down, his speed remains the same, but in the real world, he accelerates.
This gains mass and energy, which can easily cause destruction.
But stopping time is a different matter. If one were to move during that moment, it would not only be destructive but catastrophic.
With the slightest exertion, the magically reinforced floor cracked easily, leaving boot marks.
Realizing that his ability was working, Nero was ecstatic. Without this ability, he would have had to endure much.
But now, it is likely that causing harm to someone will not require effort, so the other party won't even notice it.
Having calmed down, he gathered himself and left the room, but returned a few seconds later to grab a notepad and a pen.
For magic, much has to be done, but the first step is to learn the knowledge that beginners need.
...
Walking through the corridors adorned with various pictures and articles, Nero looked around with curiosity. Although he had gained memories, seeing things with his own eyes was a different experience.
Once again stepping onto the lawn, he could see a huge and tall tower in the distance. That's the library, where all the knowledge of this academy resides.
Due to the lonely landscape, he had nothing left to do but experiment with his ability.
It turned out that he could also apply acceleration or deceleration to specific parts of his body. However, it did not work on other objects, either because it was impossible or he didn't understand how.
Thinking about all of this, an idea came to his mind. There are accelerations, decelerations, and even stopping, but what about turning back?
Nero pondered. Acceleration means that the movements of the rest of the world accelerate relative to him, while deceleration means they slow down before finally stopping.
But going back in time takes it to a different level. As he walked forward, his steps slowed down. His gaze fell on a tree from which a few leaves were falling.
After watching a little longer, he imagined everything going backward, and suddenly his body started moving on its own. He tried to control it but failed.
The fallen leaves gradually rose up in the same manner they fell, and Nero's body took wrong steps backward.
His body continued to move backward, repeating all the movements he had made before.
Understanding all of this, Nero restored everything to normal. After thinking for a moment, he drew a conclusion.
Memory does not erase; everything returns, even his body. However, everyone who was doing their own things returned to the moment right after he passed through here. It seems that no one remembers what happened.
As Nero walked the path he had already taken, he realized that he needed much more trials than this. In the distance, a huge building gradually approached. Finally reaching the library door, after going through several corridors, he opened the door full of excitement and entered inside.

An unknown place.
In the center of a vast hall, there were ten figures sitting around a round table. They spoke for a while before turning their gaze to the seats at the head of the table.
The creature sitting in the main seat wanted to say something before everything in front of its eyes began to move backward. The others sitting around the table seemed to have not noticed anything and repeated the same conversation that happened before the creature a few seconds ago.
The creature was unable to react for a few seconds before jumping up from its seat. Its eyes widened in confusion before incomprehensible words came out of its mouth.
