Chapter 10

Standing at the top of Liberta Cliff, she was deeply focused. Their work brooked no failure, as it often resulted in death.

From up above, she watched as the distant sound of Bellato's actions reverberated. Though she hadn't completed many missions herself, she had learned to use her sixth sense to discern the strength of both allies and enemies.

That's why she couldn't afford to lose her concentration now. The third member of their team was an inexperienced guy. She didn't know how he had obtained a C-rank, but he lacked the strong warrior's aura. On their way here, it was clear to her that he had little experience.

She had hinted multiple times for him to turn back, but the other side was resolute. So they had to complete the missions, even if the level of danger was slightly higher.

Looking towards the gates, she intensified her focus. It was the rookie's turn now, and he needed to reduce their numbers before she would join in.

Continuing to observe as he approached the gates without making much effort to hide, Liberta confirmed the rookie's operations. She prepared herself to escape if necessary and to seize an opportunity to take down a warrior.

But as soon as she was ready, his dark red pupils narrowed. In that split second, she lost sight of Alero, not even sensing his presence. Instead, she saw the opposing side swiftly appear in a different location, too fast for her to react.

Simultaneously, one by one, people from the enemy camp fell to the ground, leaving several puddles of blood beneath them.

Realizing the situation, Liberta's heart started pounding frantically. Finally reacting, she swiftly descended, piercing through one of the guards standing on the wall.

Immediately after, they began killing the remaining individuals one by one, creating a commotion that alerted the people in the camp that something was amiss. He wanted to run towards the person at level 3, but Liberta stopped him, thrusting her dagger into his chest.

She hadn't noticed that there was another person nearby, and upon witnessing her actions, that person started shouting loudly.

"ENEMY! ENEMY! ATTACK!"

She ran towards them as quickly as possible, while the person backed away and raised his sword for defense. She could swiftly eliminate those who were off guard, but when the other side knew about her and defended themselves, it wouldn't be resolved quickly, and it would attract attention.

Thinking about it was already too late, as the loud cry had already drawn attention.

Fortunately, after she had killed three, and the rest began surrounding her, Bellato and Alero arrived.

With his massive sword swinging, Bellato easily dealt with three or four opponents, while Alero displayed incredible speed on the other side.

In an instant, everyone was lying on the ground, and at that moment, a sound of a door opening came from the structure beneath the cliff, where the level 3 person was located.

Previously, Liberta thought it would be difficult to handle him alone, not considering Alero's strength, unsure of how strong he truly was.

But now, seeing his speed, she was confident that it wouldn't be a problem. Given his speed, even she, at the third level, couldn't react. The probability of victory was very high.

As the door opened, a colossal figure emerged. If it weren't for Liberta's vision, she would have mistaken him for an orc.

This person was incredibly tall, exceeding 2 meters. He also wielded a massive sword like Bellato.

She wanted to assess him first, to gauge his strength. Even though he was at the third level, she couldn't dismiss the possibility of his enhanced physical skills.

At that moment, Bellato spoke.

"I'll focus on defense, and you two check if there's a chance to quickly kill him. If we linger here for too long, the bloodshed might attract monsters or even demons."

Liberta agreed with his suggestion, and Alero, as usual, shrugged and raised his black sword.

"I didn't expect those people to be so much stronger..."

"Hey there! As he raised his sword, the burly-looking warrior with a scar on his right cheek, giving him a tyrannical appearance, was dressed in rough clothing. His enormous sword only amplified this impression.

Just as he was about to swing his massive sword, Liberta saw Alero vanish beside her, only to reappear near the warrior's right side.

At the same time, the warrior's hand let go of the huge sword, which fell to the ground. Liberta remained unresponsive, but Balleto swiftly lunged forward and delivered a thrust towards the warrior's chest.

The warrior himself was taken aback but instinctively placed his left hand under Balleto's sword. Unfortunately, the outcome was grim, as the sword pierced through his hand and emerged straight from his back.

The warrior's breath was labored, and fear of death enveloped him. Simultaneously, he infused all his mana into his leg, intending to strike Balleto. However, at that moment, a slender dagger pierced his neck.

Liberta watched as the warrior's eyes gradually lost their life, yet her heart was not at ease. Out of the three of them, none had reacted to Alero's movement.

Realizing this, she wanted to quickly finish this mission and keep her distance from him. Who knows when this person might change his attitude and kill them.

Without uttering a word, she headed towards the cave, confirming from the photo that the person inside was his son, the fat man. The others were members of this group, all three in poor condition.

"Alright, you're safe. Let's go. We need to leave here quickly," she said, urging the group to move faster. However, one of the three people did not respond. It was the girl, and her appearance clearly revealed the hardships she had endured.

Her clothes were in tatters, and bruises were visible on her face. She held herself tightly, curled up on the floor, looking indifferent.

After several seconds of calling her, Liberta received no response, although she knew the girl was going through a difficult time. It also irritated her.

Just as she was about to take firm action, the fat man's son stepped forward to talk to her.

"Ser... Let's go," he said, reaching out his hand to comfort the girl.

"LEAVE! GET AWAY!" she shouted, paying no attention to him.

Observing the situation, Liberta had no choice but to look at her teammates.

Seeing her gaze, Balleto and Alero exchanged glances.

Afterward, Balleto stepped forward and said, "I have an idea."
