Thundering Dragon: Slow progress
Everyday Wenrou managed to attempt the laps around Xia Ban city. Each day was a new beginning, each day that passed he felt changes to his body. Maybe, from the outside it was insignificant but to him feeling it inside submitted him to a wondrous feeling.
With the beginning of each day, before the morning rooster even had a chance to wake the neighbourhood up, Wenrou had already begun his primitive training. Laps around the city soon became a systematic schedule, he would try to complete.
At first, he only managed to complete nineteen laps around the city. To his irritation he continued to complete 19 laps for the next few days, however it all slowly changed bit by bit. Something inside of him kick started, a jolt of energy would imbue within his body every night. He didn’t understand what was happening, all he knew was that as soon as he woke he felt refreshed, also to his amazement he completed more laps in the following days.
Each day he progressed, this progress to others would only be small. However, to Wenrou this is what he wished for. Right now he was just running around the city, he could feel his legs in strenuous pain. Absolutely sweating, his hair soaking and his clothes wet with blood. He was having difficulty breathing, he continuously pushed himself to the limit every day. Each day he would push harder.
What more was that he would immediately bleed upon any sort of exercise that pushed him to his limits? So much Ki was pumping through his body that, his body the vessel of the Ki, was having a difficult time not collapsing underneath all of that pressure being exerted from the inside.
“Now it’s 31. I need to complete another lap!” He raised his voice, raising his morale along with it. He continued on his designated path, blood dripping from all over his body. If somebody saw him like this, they would be immediately worried trying to help him. However, Wenrou had been trying to complete laps around the city had grew accustomed to his bloodied presence. Ban Ban just flew close by, observing him closely. He wouldn’t let him out of his sight since the unfortunate events that occurred a few days ago.
As Wenrou looked over to Ban Ban he could only curse himself for his bad luck. “Look at that guy, what a fucker he can complete laps like it’s nice walk around the park. His body retains millions of water as well the lucky bastard! I’d love a nice cold water to drink from”
Ban Ban noticed Wenrou looking at him, which is usually the signal he understood the most from Wenrou as it meant his laps are finished! A surge of joy rolled through his body, as he changed his trajectory flying straight for Wenrou.
“No you idiot, I’m not finished yet!” Wenrou understood immediately what was happening, how could he not? He had spent far too much time with this child to know anything slight would catch his attention. All of his shouting was for naught. Before he could even finish his sentence Ban Ban was next to him, pinning him down!
“Don’t you dare Ban Ban! I’m all sweaty, I don’t need your saliva as well it’s hard to wash off!”
Ban Ban only looked curiously, was Wenrou mad at him? He couldn’t detect a hint of true anger, he put the thought to the back of his mind! He flung out his mountainous pink tongue and slapped it straight onto Wenrou’s body! With its mighty weight, and Wenrou’s feeble body he was completely pushed into the ground lying flat. His huge tongue covered Wenrou’s whole body.
“auhwqhadwao” Mumbled sounds came from beneath.
“Rararara” Ban Ban replied. Seemingly understanding the sound.
“aswanasdlkadkj” another set of mumbled sounds came forth from beneath.
“Rarara?” Ban Ban didn’t understand this set of voices. He looked confused for a second. He slowly, slid his tongue down Wenrou, savouring a final long sweet lick. As his tongue slowly retracted back into his mouth, a young lads head popped out.
“Why, just why do you like to lick so much?” Wenrou, was all squashed together a form you take when your cold, and only had a kind of special look. A look that is manifested after many times of being wronged, but at a certain point you just don’t care anymore.
He had so many questions for this child, if only Ban Ban could answer why he liked to lick things so much. “Well that trainings over, we might as well head back and see master.”
“RarararaRARA” Ban Ban was even more overjoyed.
Chihong was sitting quietly atop a massive tree branch. Silently inhaling, channelling and distributing Ki. Practising her breathing technique, she was startled awake, “A reply?” she though. Quickly, taking out a small piece of jade tablet, she held her palms directing Ki into.
Quietly observing the stone a voice came from within, “Chihong are you there?” Chihong looked surprised for a brief moment. She replied “Yeah I am here. Why haven’t you contacted me earlier?” Going straight to the main point.
“It’s been difficult. So much movement in the alliance we just barely managed to get out” The voice continued. “Anyways, the outer rim planets supposed to have low traffic, but all of a sudden it has come to the attention of the higher clans in the alliance”
Must have been the sudden outburst of Wenrou’s and Leiming’s powers. I didn’t help by releasing a large amount to destroy the Lightning Elements residual effects...
It was true. The Alliance had gotten readings of the sudden Ki accumulation and outburst of the elements. As soon as the readings was received upon the Iron Demon Body’s ship, the information was passed to many other alliance ships patrolling the planets. Now, that the information seemed concrete, the higher clans moved upon it as well mobilising elite forces.

Chihong looked distraught for a moment, she continued in a determined voice, “It doesn’t matter. It continues as planned originally. Don’t hesitate we will do as we promised your clan. Send the information of the pickup to me shortly and I will make plans to retrieve it!”
After a moment of silence, the voice continued in a darker tone “If you make a mistake it is on your head. You know who you will anger if this doesn’t go as planned! Not only that Chihong, but the clan will be in an even worse predicament. If we lose another lady of the house the Alliance will have that much more control over us! This can’t be tolerated anymore. Do you understand?” Chihong looked down at the tablet. A little annoyed, she thought to herself that they asked her help, not the other way around!
“Yes, yes. Don’t worry. Have I ever let you down before?” A look of annoyance was written all over her face. She hated reassuring people, nothing was ever certain but some people liked to hear it. “So is that all? Send the details to me, and I will move to receive!”
“Okay. Be careful.” The jade tablet went dull.
Just a moment later, Ban Ban flew past Chihong. However, Ban Ban didn’t notice at all. Wenrou was atop Ban Ban practising the breathing technique Leiming taught him. He still struggled to complete the full breathing exercise as the Ki began to move it would place huge strain on his body. It felt like the muscle, tendons and blood stream was being forcible stretched. Sometimes, the Ki would recoil causing in Ki collision within his bloodstream. He endured none the less. Although, he was taught the first step by Leiming, he was told never to attempt the second step. If the Ki did recoil, he body would burn up underneath all of that immense Ki moving within his body that he would be ripped to shreds.
Only under the guidance of Leiming was he allowed to practice the second step slowly. Even then, it was unsure how long it would take Wenrou to master the second step of the breathing technique.
As they flew by, Chihong concentrated on Wenrou. The breathing technique was not of the original Chained Lighting technique. But how could that be? Leiming said he had begun training in the chained lighting arts. This breathing technique? This technique, was slightly different but much more overbearing on the user!
“He is not practising the original breathing exercise. I would know if he was, I have trained in it myself! He taught that kid that technique?!” Furious! Chihong was absolutely furious as soon as she noticed the technique!
She abruptly stood up, rotating Ki she flew out to find Leiming. Closing her eyes, she felt his presence practising his own breathing technique trying to recover his damaged arm and Ki.
In a standing position, his body was flexible yet sturdy. His feet slowly moved around the grassy plain, his upper body moving in a motion moving gently with the breeze. Each move was like a dancing chain, tying up the surrounding, each move chained the atmosphere to his presence. As he moved, he breathed feeling the moving animals, the plants swaying in the wind the sun that was ever so slightly moving in the distant space. The wind that howled but brushed up against the rocky wall nearby.
Feeling a familiar presence he stopped his routine. His top was naked, while he had a martial clothing on covering his lower half. He looked calm, his eyes we’re still closed, he didn’t open them maintaining his state. Discovering Chihong was just silently observing. Noticing she hadn’t spoken yet. Opening his gaze, revealing a slight glint of dark crystalline thunder swirling within he looked over and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“So calm after what you have done?” Chihong asked aggressively.
“What do you mean?” Leiming didn’t understand at all. He didn’t really care what happened either, he just wanted to continue to train.
“You taught him that breathing technique? You did something as careless as that!?” Like a dormant volcano, her aura released unconditionally into the atmosphere. The overbearing Ki in the area began to transform searing, turning into her domain.
“Why is it your concern? He is my disciple is he not?” Leiming didn’t look concerned. Hinting he wanted to go back his training, he moved back into his training posture. Signalling Chihong to go away.
“You dare ignore this? She moved with a single step, where she moved a wave of intense burning sensation swelled up in the atmosphere!
Leiming didn’t even bother protecting himself. He didn’t even flinch or move, standing as he was.
Chihong moved to his side, grabbing him by the neck and ramming him into the nearby rock wall!
All of this happened before a spark could fly of the end of a fire!
Rushing Leiming into the rock wall, her claws dug deep into his neck. She was absolutely crazy. Once she thought of something, she would act upon it. Their gazes met, she was slightly shocked on the inside, he’s still looking like he is innocent!
“Why did you teach him that technique? That technique was never supposed to exist! Because of that everything fell apart!”
“Release me.” that’s all that was said by leiming, not a single level above his normal voice. But, it contained his unrestrained will. As he looked into Chihongs eyes, she slightly wavered under his dominating gaze.
“Don’t you understand, everything that happened father’s death. The alliance coveting techniques like that is the reason we are on the run. We don’t know if our other brothers are still alive either, or what state they are in! Yet, even after your father’s death you passed that technique onto another! Was his death meaningless to you!?”
Leiming only looked silently, even though she was head strong she still felt feelings like grief. It was true, the Alliance moved on their world for this technique and many other like it. Their greed it what drove the current planetary systems to chaos and war.
He only looked down, Chihong had still full grip of his neck. Her fingernails dug deep into his skin, and blood was flowing out slowly. He didn’t look concerned at all. He moved his hand to release her tightly held clutch. Holding her hand as he removed hers.
“It’s not that father’s death is meaningless. The normal technique wasn’t strong enough to release all of that trapped Ki within his body. Something of equal strength had to be used to maintain his Dantian. The only other technique was the heavenly dark dancing thunder chains breathing technique.”
“This technique might be overbearing, however he needed a power distribution technique on the same level as the all of the Ki swelling up inside his Dantian. Trust me, I wouldn’t have taught him the secret technique without considering all of the facts!”
Chihong was only silently listening, her gaze couldn’t meet Leiming’s she didn’t want to be seen in her current state, her eyes misty from the thought of her loved ones separated from them.
Leiming just continued, “This technique was never meant for me nor my father. It turns users into demons, that’s why it’s known as a demon art. However, he is from a demon clan already. This art is befitting somebody of his heritage.”
A look of amusement on Leiming’s face, a smile that looked devilishly as he continued “wouldn’t it be interesting that in this small planet on the forgotten part of the galaxy, a master of the demon arts is being created!”
