Chapter 5: Begging Fate! Breaking Fate! Part 3 Arc End

Wenrou had been on full gallop since he rushed out of the mansion, running crazily, like a black mucus was chasing him, and if he stopped for one second it would instantly absorb him!

There was only one thought racing through his mind, at the moment and that was I need to get away, but he wasn't thinking get away to where? He was just running, it seemed his body knew where he wanted to go even if he didn't, and so he just kept going. Wenrou never felt the tree vines whipping his arms, or the tree roots and plants cracking and snapping beneath his full gallop. He just kept going, looking in one direction forward without caring about his body.

He didn't realize but he had been running for a full day and night, and he had come to the end of his will and energy to run. The moment he gathered his thoughts and slowed down a bit, a pulsating pain kicked into his legs, it was the moment he slowed down, that was his stop!

He crashed into the ground knees first, followed by his upper body which he had managed to protect even with the unbearable pain in his legs, his muscles felt like they were ripping and tearing with each action. The pain wasn't just in his legs no! There was pain all over his body, except the pain in his legs was eclipsing all the other pinching, biting, and shredding pains but the moment he moved any part of his body he would feel that pain streak across, which would result in him howling "aarrrggggghhhhhhh!"*cough, cough*. These coughs where like directly from the back of his throat they hurt so much, like the skin inside his throat was peeling of slowly, for that brief moment after every cough he wouldn't be able to handle the pain. Wenrou started crying and sobbing like he had never before in his whole life! Like a newborn baby!

No animal would approach the spot Wenrou was laying in, these howls had terrified the animals to escape to a distance of at least five miles radius.

Not knowing where he had run, and what he would do, Wenrou just laid there in the pain, on his back. What other choice did he have?

He could only think that this was his destiny, maybe he deserved this pain for speaking to his father in such a manner? Maybe this is the pain he deserved for leaving Jie behind? Maybe this was the pain he deserved for being born into this life as trash? He couldn't come to a conclusion all he knew was how he could never go back, and could only look to what was in front of him.  Snot flowing down his nose, and into his mouth, water floods from his eyes. Sweat soaked clothes and muddy stains on his robes and face, he couldn't even see properly nor breath properly!

He just wished the pain would stop from the bottom of his heart, this was his only wish. He closed his eyes, even though it caused him so much pain, he knew he wouldn't be able to open them again for the time being because it would hurt more than closing them! Just like that he slowly fell asleep...

-----------------

Greyhound running out of the mansion was going to head for a summit near the mansion. It was a secluded summit near the edges of the Crater city, it was surrounded by trees and vegetation and wild life. Mainly birds would sit on the trees and sing without any signs of stopping from sunrise to sunset, it was a sort of safe haven for birds, most of the people in the city wouldn't bother the birds that lived here and that was because in the morning the birds would sing waking up the city to a cheerful melody that was carried by the wind across the whole city.

Greyhound moving through the forest and heading up to the summit, pushing his way through the massive branches and leaves with his right hand, could feel a slight pain on his left palm, he rotated his head and turned to look at what was causing the pain only to see Jie who had dried tears on his cheeks and disheveled hair biting his palm. Jie had no energy at all it seemed, and this bite was the last bit of strength he could muster up, before his body had shut down and he had fallen asleep. This sort of stress wasn't good for a kid, to hard and heavy on his mental state.

Greyhound seeing Jie in such a state could only have the ice around his heart melt, it seemed to an old man this was a pain he didn't wish to see. He made his way to the summit only to move into a meditative state, with Jie on his lap crouched into a ball sleeping, but his jaw didn't unclench Greyhounds hand! His final action, before his sleep seemed to contain all his resolve and will that even in sleep he wasn't going to let go.

Greyhound, looking at the state of Jie, just closed his eyes and circulated his Qi, quickly expanding it from his meridians, to envelop Jie and nourish his body to ensure he wouldn't feel cold. He was soaked in sweat and tears, and if not protected as such would have a cold when he wakes up.

Greyhound after finishing his Qi circulation, closed his eyes slowly and entered a meditative trance it was a sort sleep where he was aware of his surroundings, if anybody entered his Qi radius he would immediately feel their presence and take a defensive stance.

The birds in the trees were all smart animals, even some where birds that had managed to awaken their Qi and had some sort of degree of intellect. These birds could clearly see the sad state the child and old man was in, they had felt such pain and sorrow in the child biting the mans hand that their singing was effected by it. The tune they was playing was one of pain and sorrow, the whole city felt slightly depressed for that whole night.

It seemed with that song, coupled with the starry night sky that was pitch black with shining dots with streaks of orange flowing through that for that particular night, the world seemed less brighter, less vibrant and real like something was effecting their souls, like some sort of invisible sheet or layer was between them and the real world causing them to feel nervous in their hearts but nobody was able to figure out why.

----------------

It was morning, almost the afternoon and Wenrou just barely managed to open his eyes halfway. His eye lids felt so heavy like bricks and blocks were attached to the ends. He was struggling to fully open them, as soon as he got to halfway they would just fall back down and close, like an automatic response of his body telling him he wasn't ready to move yet.

So he just laid there again helplessly, feeling the wind brush up onto his nose and arms making him feel itchy, but he wasn't able to itch it away! It took another half a day to finally release himself from this restrictive bind over his body, he managed to break his unmovable state with his right hand, it took a few breaths to gain miniscule control of his right hand. He moved his right hand towards his face, but he wasn't able to control his arm fully *WHAP" his hand landed on his face like a slap, the slap brought a sudden emergence, a moment where he woke and managed to coordinate his fingers to lift his eyelids open.

The sudden action of opening his eyes made the sun seem even more brighter, and glaring his whole body stiff he used his body to slowly crawl bit-by-bit. Slowly starting from his shoulders then his arms and elbows and finally his legs to move to a tree and use the tree as a support to help him get back to his feet. This all takes a moment to describe but took a long time to accomplish for Wenrou.

Looking around he didn't quite know where he was, it took a moment to collect his thoughts and understand he had reached the Xiajing waterfall.

There was a boundary separation where the upper class would live, and the where the lower class would live in Yin Long planet, and this waterfall was the landmark peopled accepted as the boundary between both parts of the planet.

The upper class where merchants, martial artists of the best kind and developed society whereas the lower half of the city was laborers, and manufactures and botanists. Their jobs was to build homes, plant food and vegetation, manufacture weapons, tools and equipment to provide for the major cities.

Of course the lower half was paid decent amount of wages, but not close to the upper class. The lower class being so abundant and so many workers competing made it so the upper class only paid a fraction of what they would earn through profits, the lower class even though they wasn't staving, they also wasn't living a rich life either. They wold work 5 days a week minimum, either spend the final 2 days working again or spending time with their family.

Wenrou managed to climb to the top of the waterfall with all the power in his body, each action would cause a slight acute pain to spark, and over time the pains would annoy the hell out of him that he just didn't want to move anymore. It was better to stay still! He was sitting on a rock at the edge of the start of the waterfall, and knew that if he just let the waterfall carry his body the current would take him directly to the lower half of the planet.

The only problem with this plan, was that his body was in to much pain, and if at the bottom of the waterfall he wasn't able to swim back to the sides the current would surely take him and drown him.

He decided to wait a whole day again, and took this moment to come to terms with what happened.

He didn't know how and why he ran to this waterfall, he thought that maybe he too believed he was trash and that the lower half was the only place he would fit. He truly didn't know, but when he thought like that his heart would pump a bit faster, he would begin to slightly sweat and think was this truly all he would amount to? Is that mans words true?

It would take a moment to calm his heart, every time he thought like that he looked back at the direction he ran from and just said to himself in a consolingly manner "It's better to live as free trash, than trash chained to a master like a dog on a leash"

Some people would rather live like a dog on leash than be free. Even if being free meant to be poor and live out your days working for most of your life this to Wenrou, was better than living a happy life and pretending everything is fine. To Wenrou, this was his way of thinking, maybe he just hated his father so much that this was the only conclusion he could come to. Because what his father said was true, to any other rich family he was really trash and had it good in the Xuanze mansion.

One day later.--

Wenrou got back up with his energy partially returned, he was starving and still in pain, but that wasn't going to stop him no! Not when he is so close to breaking his fate!

He was able to jump to a small rock platform in the middle of the waterfall, it looked extremely weak at first, it looked like if any weight was pressed onto it, it would crumble and get dragged away in the current. However, Wenrou didn't hesitate he thought to himself that if this small island has managed to resist for this long it must be a strong piece of rock. It sort of makes sense right?

Wenrou landed and almost slid and fell on his bottom, the waterfall flowing past the rock made it all slippery and it took a moment for Wenrou to balance himself with the use of his feet and his arms, he just took a small peak at the bottom of the waterfall. This waterfall symbolized him breaking his fate, all he had to do was just jump and he would make his own fate in the lower half of the city! The moment he looked down however...

"......!!"

"Fuck, what the hell man, what the hell! It's so long to the bottom!"

The waterfall looked frightening from the top, with steam blowing up created from the violent turbulence of the waterfall hitting the lake at the bottom gave a majestic feeling, like small clouds floating around the waterfall.

Wenrou just looked around his balls shriveled up the instant he looked down, this waterfall would make most men with big balls to suddenly have small balls. As Wenrou was looking around for a smarter plan to get down, it seemed he could only climb down on the vegetation overhanging and massive trees dark green roots from the forest reaching all the way to the bottom. The tree roots wrapped, and coiled around the waterfall like a dark green serpent it seemed as if it would never let this waterfall go anywhere.

This forest was a part of the waterfall, and this waterfall apart of this forest. They would not be willing to part!

A slight grin on Wenrous face, but then he cursed in his heart! "Even smiling hurts so fucking much! This stupid forest and this ugly waterfall are annoying I never wish to see these stupid trees again in my life!"

Looking for a way to jump back to a safe ground, he crouched into a position to get ready to pounce at the edge, with his bum sticking out, his head low and his hands into a motion like it was a grapple he was going to make sure he wouldn't get taken away by the current!

For a brief moment a slight crack was heard! Followed by more smaller cracks Cack, cack cack! more cracks appeared, from no where this little platform was breaking apart, crumbling! Wenrou feeling these cracks looked down disbelievingly was his luck so bad? All he could think was "FUCK MY LIFE!"

"AYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.." The shrill scream lasted for a brief moment before disappearing into the white mist, it seemed the waterfall was back to how it was, calm and serene nothing out of the ordinary. The forest looked slightly happier, the lush green leaves and purple berries and vegetation swaying in the light breeze, seemed to be cleansed of trash. Did this forest hear Wenrous thoughts? Was the forest responsible for the platform crumbling? Who could know? All he could do was curse his own luck.

As Wenrou was falling he could feel his insides floating it was a truly weird feeling sort of how he would feel when he was sick. It took a moment for him to hit the lake, the moment he entered, the violent current swirling about, the force of the waterfall overhead crashing into the lake like a massive boulder continuously crashing, made him feel dizzy.

Unable to control his body tossing and turning underwater. He could only close his eyes and hold his breath wait for the moment the current died down to swim to shore. But what was this? He felt himself hit a moving object? But in this lake this close to shore, and this shallow and narrow, sea creatures usually don't appear here. Certainly not at the size he just hit!

But he didn't have time to think about that. He could only use this object that stopped his momentum to swim to the edge of this narrow stream, but he overestimated his capabilities he just felt his mind go fuzzy, then blank! He lost consciousness!
