Looking at the person standing in front of him, Thita got a bit surprised even though, his face didn't show it.
'What are the chances? Or perhaps, I should have expected to meet one of those 3 here.'
His surprise was to be expected. After all, right in front of him, stood Alex, one of the three adventurers he saw as soon as he got teleported in this world.
'Perhaps, he noticed me peeking on him and his party before. So, did he came here to confront me about it?'
He wasn't sure to why that person came directly to him as soon as he finished getting signed into the guild, but it looked like he was about to find out.
After all, the other party started speaking.
"Hey there buddy. Are you perhaps new here?"
Alex said with a kind tone, as if speaking to a close friend.
Sensing his calm and kind tone, Thita answered to him with indifference.
"That's right. I came to this town a few moments ago."
Hearing him, Alex spoke once again, but this time with a more excited tone.
"That's perfect! Are you perhaps thinking of joining someone's party to clear some quests with them?"
Hearing his excited tone, Thita couldn't help but wonder.
'I don't remember mentioning that I am an adventurer. Or actually, never mind. It's pretty obvious considering that I am looking at the quests right now.'
Not wanting to make the other party wait, he answered.
"I am sorry but I am not familiar with how parties work. I was just looking for some quests that I could do."
Hearing him, Alex spoke once again.
"Oh, no need to apologize! It's my fault for asking you out of the blue like that. You see, me and my party are looking for one more member to help us with a combat related quest. So, I just came here to ask you, if you would like to help us fill that spot."
After finishing him sentence, Alex hurriedly spoke again.
"Of course, you have every right to refuse! Especially considering the difficulty of our quest. I.. I won't judge you or anything."

Letting him finish, Thita responded with a calm tone.
"I see. Can I take a look at the quest you and your party will do?"
Hearing him, Alex responded.
"Ah, yes of course! Excuse me for not showing it to you before."
Taking a piece of paper that was tied to his belt, Alex handed it to Thita.
Looking at it, Thita started reading it, as if he knew all this time how to read in this new language.
'Slay a pack of wolves that reside in an area close to town. This quest doesn't seem too difficult, if you have four well equipped people. Perhaps I should accept it.'
He also couldn't help but notice, that the quests specifically required that the wolves were slain and not just driven away from the area. He also noticed that it was a C rank quest, so it shouldn't be that dangerous for 4 people.
He didn't knew though, how this world's wolves were like or even how difficult a C rank quest was supposed to be, so he decided not to take it as something easy just to be safe.
"So you want me to help you and your party to slay the pack of wolves?"
Hearing him speak, Alex answered.
"That's right! We have already tried, me and my other two party members, to complete it, but we failed."
Alex said defeated.
"There were more than we expected and we were at risk of being surrounded, so we had to flee. This time though, we know their numbers and if we have one more member in our team, we will remain undefeated for sure!"
Hearing him saying that, Thita started trying to figure out wherever to accept or not.
'Looking at the reward again, it's way more than any non combat quest. But how much of it will I be given though?'
As if guessing his thoughts, Alex spoke.
"If it's about money, we will let you exchange any of the bodies you kill. We will also split the quests reward between us four equally!"
After hearing his kind and generous deal, Thita came to a conclusion.
'I still don't know much about how this world's economy works, so it would be better to earn as much money as I can for now, just be to be safe. Since I can only complete low rewarding quests alone, this is perhaps my only change to secure a huge amount of cash to start my life from scratch. I should take it. Yes, that should be the right choise.'
Sure there might have been other things to consider before taking that decision, but he needed money as fast as possible.
"I understand. In that case, I am willing to help you and your team fill that spot."
Hearing him, Alex smiled.
"That's perfect! So, can you please follow me so that I can discuss it with the others too?"
Hearing him saying that, Thita nodded.
'I see. So it's not guaranteed that they will let me participate.'
Following him, Thita and Alex made their way towards a table close to one of the corners of the guild. Seeing them approaching, two familiar faces stood up from their chairs.
"Alex my guy, did you find anyone willing to help us?"
Hearing the man speak to him, Alex responded.
"Yes I found one! Paul, Leslie, I want you to meet our newest member for this quest. His name is.. uh."
Hearing him unable to finish his sentence, Thita spoke.
"Excuse me for not introducing myself beforehand. My name is Thita. Thank you for having me."
Hearing his formal introduction, Paul spoke.
"That's an interesting name you got there fella. You are not from around here, aren't you?"
Hearing that, Ghita responded.
"That's right. I traveled quite a distance before reaching this town. This is actually my first day here."
Hearing him, Paul spoke with amazement.
"In that case you must be quite the fighter to come here all by yourself. Alex my friend, you sure did find a great member!"
After hearing that, Alex smiled innocently, while Thita, on the other hand sighted.
'Great, now I also have to try not to look inexperienced. I really need to figure out better lies...'
