With a groan, Izo comes awake to her phone ringing and with blurry eyes, Izo blindly searches for her phone. “Hello?” Izo drowsily asked upon finding her phone.
“Miss Reed, what is the meaning of this?!” Flora Fauna unhappily exclaimed.
“What is?” Izo tiredly asked in confusion.
“The mess left on the vault. Did you know there are priceless items carelessly left on the floor?” Flora unhappily growled.
“Ah, yes, I got in late last night and left there for you to see this morning,” Izo grumbled back.
“Though I am pleased by Miss Reed’s confidence in us, please, Miss Reed desist in surprising us in this manner. We just about had a heart attack this morning,” Flora unhappily exclaimed.
“Okay,” Izo mumbled back, “Is that all?”
Flora lets out a sigh and tiredly replies, “Yes, that’s all Miss Reed.”
“Oh good,” Izo said as she yawned and laid back down. Before Izo can go to sleep a familiar alarm in a chirpy voice says, “Get up, it’s time for your match,” over and over again.
With a groan, Izo climbs out of bed to go and exercise with James Duke. Though it was something good, Izo did not want to get out of bed. Once dressed Izo teleports back to the dungeon to find James Duke waiting for her in the training room.
Izo wordlessly begins to stretch as James leans against his broadsword to wait. “How did your dungeon raiding go?” James asked.
“It was productive, I hadn’t realized how predictable my magic attack combos had gotten. It was enlightening, to say the least,” Izo remarked.
“Of course, I’m originally a dual-class user, why wouldn’t I be?” Izo curiously asked.
James chokes and says, “Just how strong of a magic user are you?”
“I’m pretty good, but I prefer to combine magic and physical attacks together. I’ve actually been holding myself back all this time to focus solely on my physical aspect of attacks,” Izo truthfully answered.
James suddenly feels tired and says, “I give up. Is there nothing you can’t do?”
“I’m terrible at house magic,” Izo gravely replied with a serious face.
James blinks in disbelief and slowly says, “Yeah, I can see that.”
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Finished stretching, Izo’s scythe appears in her hand and says, “So, I’ll be fighting with magic today too, do you think you can handle it?”
James snorts and says, “If not, it’s not like I’ll die for real.”
Izo nods her head and says, “Alright, here I go,” and dashes for James. James brings up his blade to dodge the attack and throws dust at Izo to block her vision.
The battle steadily progressed as the two sparred for several hours before satisfied. Afterwards, Izo and James head back for other engagements. Izo had lunch with her parents and later in the afternoon went to the movies with Valentine and Sara. Finally, her night ended by watching a movie with Dolores, before heading Dolores went off to bed.
Pucca is sound asleep on the couch as Izo continues to watch some television. Pucca suddenly opens Pucca’s eyes and stares up and behind the couch. Izo suddenly whirls around to find a young man in a messenger type clothing. Glancing at his docket the young man says, “This is the home of Izo Reed correct?”
Izo stands on her feet and says, “Yes, that is correct.”
“Perfect,” the young man muttered as he made a check on his list. Glancing up at Izo the young man says, “Then champion of the Gods, are you ready to depart?”
“Wait, what?” Izo said with disbelief.
“Your God did warn you that a messenger would be picking you up, did the God do not?” The messenger asked.
“Well, yes, but I didn’t think it would be quite so soon?” Izo quietly remarked.
The messenger shrugs and pulls out a swab kit from his pouch and says, “You need not worry, your affairs will be taken care of.” The messenger pauses and says, “Open your mouth.”
Izo does as she is told as the messenger scraps her mouth and tongue before pulling out the swab. Satisfied, the messenger pulls out a blue liquid and drops it onto the swab. From the swab, a single drop falls to the ground that grows to form an identical version of Izo.
The figure is carried by the messenger into the bedroom, before returning back. Izo stares blankly and says, “What is that?”
“That’s your clone. However, the memories of the clone have largely been altered except those deemed necessary. The clone will recall most of your memories and will be you as it lives out the rest of your mortal life. But even if it is a clone, that clone will never be yourself,” the messenger remarked.
Izo for the first time is troubled by her decision as she hears Odin’s voice echo in her ears, “Are you certain this is truly what your heart desires?” Izo suddenly sees her parents, Dolores, Sara, Valentine and those others who she knew in mind getting farther and farther away. She would be losing everything once again.
Izo’s fists unconsciously clench as Izo knows there is no turning back now, it was much too late for regrets. “Thank you, do I need to bring anything with me?” Izo quietly asked.
“Anything that you wish to take with you, but your guardian and subordinate can be summoned from the mortal realms,” the messenger explained.
Izo nods and returns to her room. Izo stares at the room that had been hers before only packing a picture of her friends and family. Izo did pack some clothing, but food would not be a problem as everything she needs would already be there. Just pausing to grab Pucca off the couch, Izo says, “I’m ready to go.”
The messenger nods and waves a wave-like item around them as Izo suddenly finds herself seated in an oval like flying shuttle. “Please buckle your seat belts,” the messenger said from the driver’s seat.
Izo automatically complies with the said instructions as the white shuttle’s engines begin to glow as the white shuttle blasts off from earth and into space. For the first and last time in Izo’s life, Izo watches earth from the passenger windows. In a blur, the oval ship suddenly warps through space into an alternate plane leaving Earth behind.
