chapter 52: end of the dream

chapter 52

"and who might you be?" logic

as i speak with a perfectly level tone the one that the god of humans called oracle looks at me, first with shock, then

with curiosity, and finally with acknowledgment.

"ah, so you're one of those. second one I've seen this generation, quite impressive. what's even more impressive is that i

didn't predict this happening." oracle

"that still doesn't answer my question, who and what are you?" logic

"how rude of me, to trespass on your dream and not introduce myself is rude. i am commonly called oracle, due to my

ability to accurately predict the future. and i am a greater titan." oracle

"is it a good idea to be telling me your strengths?" logic

"it doesn't matter, you won't be able to use it against me anyway." oracle

"fine, but why are you here? i can't see anything that you could stand to gain from visiting me." logic

"i was curious, i knew there was something about you that was different but i couldn't figure it out, it's not like i can read

minds like you can. by the way please stop, it's getting a little annoying, and you'll never get inside anyway. you're not the

first mind mage I've met." oracle

i withdraw my mind from the barrage of attacks against his mind, it's become habit by now to just slip into someone's

mind.

"can you elaborate on that?" logic

"no, just know that while you are certainly not the first, but you are the only one still alive, the ones that figure it out tend

to be secretive to the level of obsession, something you no doubt understand perfectly" oracle

at this time i start smelling something nasty coming from the gods pants.

"you might want to off the pressure, i can't feel it but that god of there is literally shitting himself" logic

"that really stinks, i meant to lay off just before he shit himself but i was a little late apparently." oracle

he lowers the pressure a bit and the god seems a little relieved and my other half starts being able to move, he quickly

runs beside me.

"what should i do? i have no idea what to do in this type of scenario." emotion

fear evident in his voice, but so is something else. excitement? it would make sense, i do love fighting opponents

stronger than myself, well jack does. that would probably explain why emotion can still move, he is more used to

overwhelming pressure than the god with brown underwear.

"hmm, not enough." oracle

"just wait." logic

oracle lowers the pressure a little bit lower, and our other guest is no longer paralyzed.

"i have never seen a stupider greater god before, not that i didn't predict it." oracle

"wh-what do you me-mean?"god of humans

"you not only choose to attack someone who specializes in fighting gods, but also gave him as many advantages as you

could think of. first you attacked him in a dream, his dream. this allowed him to change the terrain to suit his needs, in

addition to impeding you with the same method. next you brought out his true form, didn't anyone ever tell you that

someone's true form brings out their greatest strengths? it also bring out their weaknesses, but he doesn't have any that

you could successfully exploit. then you had your little observer just sit on the sidelines when she could have helped

you, sealing your failure." oracle

"true, and now she will die because of you. HEAR THAT CHARM, YOU WILL DIE SOON." logic

emotion seems to get excited, probably wants to get revenge for what she did to her own daughters, and taste that

sweet sweet flesh. i mostly want the power that comes with the sweet flesh. i remove all the trees, leaving the brush. i

see a rather average looking woman standing off to my right, paralyzed with a tear streaked face.

"we should probably give you some alone time now, I'll take this one and leave. I'll see you in the not too distant future,

jack." oracle

after he is gone i walk over to where Lilith has been hiding the whole time, under some of the brush. after Lilith gets up

she looks at emotion and me for a second.

"which one of you is jack?" Lilith

"i would say logic here is the greater part of jack." emotion

"neither of us are jack, together we are jack. he is emotion, and i am logic." logic

"that's a little confusing, but OK. who is she?" Lilith

"a lesser charm goddess, or rather used to be a lesser charm goddess." logic

"used to?" Lilith

"i kind of ate her, in a completely non-sexual way." logic

at this she looks a little shocked.

"emotion if you would." logic

"yes!" emotion

"don't forget to cauterize the wound, don't want to waste any of that power soaked blood." logic

"alright!" emotion

hearing that charm recovers and starts to run, screaming for help. this doesn't stop emotion as he is much fast than charm. emotion catches up to charm and take a bite out of her left arm, breaking through the bone, before burning the

wound shut. charm falls to the ground shrieking in agony, it starts to get annoying so i mute her with the wonderful

power of dreams.

"it doesn't taste as good as before, still tasty, just not as good." emotion

"might as well save it for latter, wouldn't want the girls to miss the show." logic

"won't she escape?" Lilith

"nah, no one can get in or out of this dream without my consent, or enough power to override that." logic

"lets wake up then." emotion
