Story So Far
One man sacrifices everything to find his friend who disappeared suddenly. Deathwalker’s soul gets pulled through the Sea of Chaos, the primordial space between all realities. Most souls who travel through the Sea of Chaos do not survive the trip, those that do can gain a glimpse of power. However, where others retain a few drops from the Sea of Chaos, Deathwalker drank it in leading to his transformation into a dragon and being deposited in a hidden realm.
When he wakes up in this hidden realm, Deathwalker encounters Uriel, Archangel of Knowledge and Wisdom, one of the protectors of Free Will. During this meeting our protagonist learns his friend was taken by the Dark. Deathwalker also learned if he had any hope of rescuing his friend from the Dark, he had to get stronger, a whole lot stronger.
With a new understanding of his situation, Deathwalker sets out to claim the place of power in this hidden realm. Rather than starting his journey on foot and having to fight whatever beast he might encounter, Deathwalker takes flight as a dragon. Soaring to the place of power, he discovers a massive vacant fortress city surrounding the realm’s place of power known as the Infinite Nexus.
Claiming the Infinite Nexus was painful and grueling, only his strength of will and gifts from his royal bloodlines helped Deathwalker survive and claim the most unique place of power in existence. He learned this Infinite Nexus was the focal point for all magics and realities. This Hidden Realm of the Infinite Nexus is keystone to protecting the entirety of all realities from beings both within and outside of the Omniverse.
Now master of this unique realm, Deathwalker appoints Uriel the Head Librarian of the Infinite Library. If knowledge is power, then this core building is the most dangerous in existence. Anything written or documented can be found within the Infinite Library.
As a thank you, Uriel provides magic Grandmaster spell school books. These books have the special ability to download knowledge directly into the mind and soul of the one that reads it. Provided with books from each spell school, Deathwalker gained an opportunity to gain a unique class during his Class Trial.
During his Class Trial, Deathwalker meets Lilandra, his arbiter, and the former queen of Djinn. She guides him through the process and in the end, he becomes the unique class: Third Path of Creation. Unclear what that truly means, Deathwalker uses the unique ability he gained from the class, Soul-Forge, to free Lilandra and change her Fate.
With Lilandra now his first disciple, they return to the Hidden Realm of Infinite Nexus. Deathwalker appoints her as the Head Portal Guardian. Uriel puts Deathwalker through an intense, nonstop training session to help him master the knowledge he gained and practice the martial skills he absorbed.
Knowing he must continue to grow stronger, Deathwalker has Lilandra open a portal to another world where he can both grow and learn to put his knowledge to practice. With his human form, he begins to hunt in the forest near a town called Timberfall. Using his unique ability known as Power of 13, he permanently gains stat points, and in rare cases, some of the abilities from the ones he kills.
Gaining the ability known as One With The Forest (Alpha Variant), allows Deathwalker to end up as the Alpha for a pride of Forest Pumas, after he killed their previous Alpha. Appointing Mrrsha, Prrsha, and Frrsha as his advisors and leaders of the pride in his absence, he hunts with the Forest Pumas and continues to grow his strength. During this time Deathwalker finds a primal love of the hunt and begins to lose sight of his original goal of rescuing his friend.
Eventually, Deathwalker leaves the Forest Pumas to enter Timberfall. While in the rustic town he joins the Adventurers’ guild, registered as a healer. This leads to an encounter with twin adventurers known as Cal and Mara. The two implore him to heal their friend and party defender, a dwarf by the name of Grimhold.
Deathwalker uses his healing powers to save Grimhold, putting the dwarf in his debt. Then our protagonist uses his master smithing skill to fix and improve Grimhold’s mithril armor. This led to the dwarf being in his debt, twice over. Deathwalker later joins Mara, Cal, and Grimhold’s party, to help them complete their guild quest.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
That quest led the adventuring party to a cave and tunnel system filled with krythid, giant insect creatures that operate in a hive. Deathwalker decides to summon a Shadow Gazer as a familiar, and names him Garry. According to his new familiar, summoning him was Deathwalker’s best decision ever. He sent Garry to scout their enemies. This led the team to learn of a krythid Queen. Out of concern for Timberfall, the team concocts a plan to begin to thin out the krythid numbers before they collapse the cave tunnel.
During the battle with the krythid, the team gets overwhelmed and Mrrsha, Prrsha, and Frrsha come to their rescue. Deathwalker ordered Mara and Grimhold to take an unconscious Cal and exit the cave. Once his party was safe, he collapsed the tunnel on their krythid attackers. Thinking Deathwalker is dead, the adventurers head back to Timberfall to rally the town to help.
Deathwalker survived the tunnel collapse and found the bottom half of Frrsha completely crushed. With Lilandra’s help and his Soul-Forge ability transform Frrsha into a Shifter Matriarch, granting her wish to be able to turn into a ‘two-legged puma’. The newly coined Savage squad, Deathwalker, Garry, Mrrsha, Prrsha, and Frrsha begin to hunt down the krythid.
In confronting and defeating the krythid queen, Deathwalker uses his Soul-Forging ability once again to change her Fate and turn her into his third disciple. She shares her story on how a cloaked shadowy figure teleported her into the mountain with enough corpses to grow her brood army to harass the nearby town. They also learned that someone from Timberfall had betrayed the town.
After reuniting with his party and learning Timberfall’s betrayer was the owner of the town’s mill, a lesser noble called Darrien. With the help of the rest of the town council, Deathwalker brings Darrien to justice. With no heirs, our protagonist inherits everything Darrien owns including his manor and businesses. After getting his head wrapped around the new fortune he gained, Deathwalker comes up with a new plan to expedite trade and further increase his influence and profits, portal stations.
When Lord Sebastian Dormeir learns of Deathwalker’s deeds and Darrien’s fate, he is overjoyed. Using the authority the king granted him, Lord Dormeir appoints Deathwalker as Timberfall’s new city lord. This new position requires both men to travel to the capital to gain the royal court’s final approval.
On his way to establish the portal connection between Timberfall and the capital, Deathwalker and Garry come across an attack by a large group of bandits on a carriage. They decide to lend their aid and save the people. The duo laid waste to the bandits, and gained the moniker of being seen as a shadow or death for the way they would appear out of the shadows and showed no mercy.
Learning the woman in the carriage is fatally wounded, Deathwalker heals her and the other injured. He discovers the woman he saved is Lady Emma Watson, son of Duke Watson, brother to the king. This sparks Lady Emma’s interest in her savior.
After Deathwalker finished the portal connection and returned to Timberfall, he shared the news with his forces. He later shared his plans for Timberfall’s growth and expansion with the remaining members of the city council. He created new positions and appointed his Head Trader Malcom, General Marius, and Commander Willis to the council and then shares the wonder of the portal station hub. After their shock wore off, they all got to work.
Lord Dormeir and his retinue came to Timberfall to meet up with Lord Deathwalker Dragonvein. They were in shock upon seeing the massive city walls and only further confused when they heard rumors the new city lord was responsible for their creation. Lord Dormeir’s aide, Jeffy, comes close to violating guest rights due to his rude behavior, earning him the enmity from Deathwalker’s friends and allies. Though Jeffy may not care for the new lord, Sebastian Dormeir took to the man right away, finding kinship in his straightforward attitude.
Together Sebastian and Deathwalker took the portal to the capital surprising the royal guards. Upon meeting with the royal court, Sebastian explained his reasons for appointing Deathwalker and asked the king to confirm him joining the peerage. This was met with some resistance from the court due to Deathwalker being unknown.
Deathwalker revealed his plan for his portal network shocking everyone. Duke Watson began to question the new city lord about his exploits saving his daughter. During these questions a dark arrow shot out from the shadows towards the king.
It was Deathwalker’s lightning reflexes that saved the king’s life. On instinct, he shaped his hand to an Omni-claw, blocking another ranged attack aimed at the Duchess Lightheart. Using Light magic, he revealed three shadowy assassins. Ordering people to safety, Deathwalker, Sebastian, and General Marius pursued the three attackers.
After a grueling fight the three assassins are vanquished, and the three men return victorious. The king asks only the queen, duchess, and dukes to remain, along with Sebastian and Deathwalker. That is when they discover Deathwalker has an ancient royal bloodline resulting in the king and queen demanding the man marry one of the noble women of the kingdom to ensure his bloodline continues within their nation. In addition, for all his achievements, Deathwalker is appointed as Duke and given the Timberfall Duchy.
