Prologue
Lilandra walked through the portal and returned to the Hidden Infinite Nexus Portal Room. As the portal closed, she heard a voice to her side.
“Now where did you run off to?”
Lilandra turned to address her ‘ally’. “Just busy with my duties as first disciple.”
Uriel had a look on his face that told her he did not believe a word she was saying.
Lilandra just smiled at the archangel. “How are your brothers doing?”
Uriel’s facial expression turned to one of understanding. “Ahhh. You saw our meeting. Now I see.”
“They do not trust master.” Lilandra stated.
“My brothers mean well. They have long memories, and those memories make it hard to dismiss the past.” Uriel replied.
“I remember the past too Uriel. My children are forever bound as slaves to the whims of others for their past transgressions. I have been locked away in my own prison for thousands of years. So, you’ll excuse me if I have little tolerance for discussions of the past.” Lilandra quipped back.
Uriel sighed. “I have no interest in discussing past transgressions either. We have a chance to move forward from those days. It is my brother Michael’s duty to fight against the Dark. With such a purpose he looks for threats everywhere. Give him time, I believe he will be an ally when the time comes.”
“Perhaps, but I do not serve the Dark, my loyalty is to Deathwalker. Where do your loyalties lie?”
“That is not fair, and you know it, Lilandra. I am an archangel. My duty is to the Light. That does not mean I would not do everything I could for the Master of the Infinite Nexus. He is a good man put into an impossible situation. I will help him navigate what is coming.” Uriel answered.

Lilandra nodded. “If I did not believe that we would be having a different conversation. You did see to it he received some of the most powerful knowledge in the Infinite Library, and that led him to me. But... that does not mean I fully trust you.”
“Fair enough for now. Let us discuss Deathwalker’s friend.” Uriel said.
“Then you do know?” Lilandra asked.
“I have little interest in playing this game. You have found him already.” Uriel said it as a statement to let her know he already knew the answer.
Lilandra sighed. “No fun at all. Yes, it did not take me long. I saw him and the others taken.”
“Then you know we cannot allow them to meet. The Dark has made their machinations known. He may be one of many they are grooming into a weapon. We both know how easily the Dark can twist one’s mind and heart.” Uriel explained.
Lilandra sighed. “You are asking me to defy his wishes. That is not something I can do.”
Uriel’s face took on a pained expression. “Deathwalker is not strong enough to face him. If they meet now, he will lose the battle. If that happens, the Dark would be one step closer to taking this place for themselves.”
Lilandra let out another sigh. “So dramatic. Though I must admit you are not wrong. I will have to tell him eventually, but I can wait until he is not in his current state. You do know the others will be growing stronger too. There will be a point where their encounter will be unavoidable.”
“Then I guess it is good you are seeking allies for him.” Uriel said as he smiled at her.
Lilandra’s shock was only present for a moment, but it was enough for the archangel to see it.
“It seems I am not the only one spying on their allies. It matters not. I have set things in motion. It is only a matter of time.” Lilandra replied.
“I am not here to admonish your actions, on the contrary. I do not hold the same distrust of the fae that some of my siblings do. Deathwalker will need allies for what is coming. I am sure you have been watching what has started on Earth.” Uriel answered.
“Then, we are agreed. I will not mention what has happened to his friends or his world so he may have the time to be who he is meant to be. And... we will let my sisters meet him when the time is right.” Lilandra agreed.
Uriel nodded. “I am just concerned. The truth cannot be hidden for long. We walk a fine line. But enough talk of such things. I can sense that Shadow Gazer of his coming this way.”
Lilandra shuddered. “Ugh, not Garry.”
A few moments later the Shadow Gazer floated into the room.
“Here’s Garry! He, he, he. What’s up guys?”
