Hero 3: Training

It's been one month since I got summoned together with four other people. We started training for our upcoming battles two weeks ago. Yes, I said "we" which includes me. Why? Well, I've quite frankly got nothing else to do.

In the beginning I thought about committing suicide in this world but with all those fucking nobles clinging onto me like that I haven't had a chance. And if I tried an failed then the king would surely have someone guard me 24/7 and I can't deal with that shit. No, it's better to play along with in their little game... for now.

The king really didn't spare any expenses when it comes to our training. The best amongst the best in their fields have been gathered and tasked to teach them everything they know. Which is A LOT.

I've been focusing mainly on wind magic, which I have high affinity with, and unarmed combat myself. I want to be able to move around at high speeds without having a weapon in the way. Great if I want to run away someday.

The others have also decided on focusing on some things as well. I know for a fact that that idiot Josh have been training with the sword like crazy. But he's not that good, even I can see that. The sword instructor advised him to try another kind of weapon. But he refused, saying "The sword is the symbol of a hero!". What an idiot.

Luckily not everyone is that stupid. Karen for example decided to use the bow. She told us that she used to be in an archery club back on Earth and that she even won some competitions.

Meanwhile, Ian decided to study alchemy and herbalism, plus combat magic of course. I don't see him training that often as alchemy and herbalism is practiced in a separate room, but according to his instructors he's really talented.

And then there's Helen. She choose the daggers, of course. I don't doubt that she will use them to backstab us when we lose value to her. And you know what else she picked to specialize on? Poison and traps. Fitting for a snake like her. I should probably kill her when I get the chance.

The main training area where we practice is located right behind the castle and a lot of nobles come to look at us training. Most of them are female. When someone of us guys look at them they squeal and shout out in happiness. It's no secret what they want. I just ignore them but that moron Josh flirts with them whenever he can, which is more than often. I should kill him too when I get the chance.

Today I finally managed to hover by using the air around me. It took me a while before I got the trick of it but it was definitely worth it. When I finally succeeded my wind magic instructor praised me till no end. According to him levitating is something a few can do and those that can had to train for years before they were able to do so. The reason for my fast growth, he explained, is because I am summoned and somehow we are blessed with an amazing growth rate.

I asked him why so few is able to hover and he answered that in order to keep oneself in the air one needs to continuously cast mana and that the amount of mana needed to do so is very high. He explained that a regular person have a mana of 25, a soldier 50 and a magician 150. The highest known amount of mana a human have had is 800, which according to him, is almost divine. He also told me that because I am a hero my mana can become higher than any court magician currently alive. Interesting.

I'm in an awkward and uncomfortable situation right now. I am currently being courted by a bunch of young noblewomen.

"Hero-sama, hero-sama!"

"Please feel free to visit me any time!"

"I can show you around the city if you want!"

"No I can show you around the city much better than her!"

"Can I please touch your muscles!"

Ugh... These fucking cows. I was calmly reading in one of the countless studies when suddenly the door flew open and a wave of squeals and frills invaded. Who let them in here to begin with? One of the girls suddenly hug my arm. I stare down at her with disgust.

"H-hero-sama, what's wro-?"

"Don't touch me you ugly bitch" I growl between my teeth. The girl immediately release her grip on me and take a step back in shock. The other girls do the same.

"Wha-wha-wha-what did you just say!?" the girl shouts. "Who are you calling ugly!? I will have you know my dad is a member of the council!!"

"And? I don't fucking care. Now leave me alone, all of you".

"B-but-" the girls protest but I don't want to hear it.

"Leave me the fuck alone you cows". The girls gasp and suddenly all of their faces goes red.

"Fine!" one of them shouts then all of them storms out of the room. I close the door after them and sigh. I'm really tired. I sit down by the desk and lays down my head on it.

I know I was unnecessary rude but I snapped. When that girl hugged my arm like that... It reminded me of her. But it wasn't her so I got pissed. Do you get it? No? That's alright, you don't need to.

I close my eyes and start thinking of her and our time together. After a while I drift of to sleep and for I while I am at peace.
